*Update it appears the boyfriend of the blonde employee that was in the car with her as she cursed and recorded me has posted positive fake reviews, as well as their family members, to try to discredit my honest review. How unprofessional and unethical of the business to employ people like this. We arrived at 9:45 and we were still there waiting for our items at 10 because of the employees complete disregard for us. We were polite to the employees the entire time, even when we explained to them that we preferred to just go elsewhere and they were the ones who began harassing us while we were in our vehicles. For them to go to these extremes to try to discredit my documented experience is ridiculous and truly telling of how dishonest these people are.* Avoid at all costs if you don't want your night ruined or to be harassed. I'm visiting from Nevada and decided to stop by this place for ice cream with my friends and family. While waiting to order, it was obvious to us that the two young girls at the counter were not happy at all to be there. This started to make us a bit uncomfortable, but since we had already been waiting, we decided to just let it go and keep waiting. Once the older girl was finished helping her customer though, she turned around and went into the back without acknowledging us, even though the couple in front of us had a large order and we had been waiting for a while. When it was finally our turn, the younger girl helping us was very rude when asking us what we wanted and at this point, this was really starting to bother us but we tried to ignore it since we were almost done ordering our things. However, what was completely unacceptable was that while I was still inside the store with my friend and two young kids, both girls walk into the back without saying a word and turned off the lights inside the place, leaving us there in the dark with the front door wide open and unlocked at 10 PM. At this point, this was our final straw, so we quietly left everything on the counter and walked out. Once the girls noticed we left, they ran out and tried to tell us that they just turned the lights off because they were closed now but we didn't have to leave (Businesses usually simply lock the door and put the "closed" sign on when they still have customers inside, not leave them there in the dark with the front door wide open without even telling them a word so that explanation was illogical). I explained to them that they had been rude the entire time and we were no longer comfortable there and then proceeded to walk away with my family to figure out where else we could go for ice cream. The baffling part is, that while my friend and I were in our cars trying find another ice cream shop, the older blonde of the two girls walks out of the place and starts recording us and gets on the phone with someone. There was absolutely no reason for that employee to be recording us because we weren't even parked directly in front of the business or anything for her to walk out and harass us this way! I could hear talking to her boss and attempting to "explain" the situation of us walking out and leaving the ice cream there to try to cover themselves so they wouldn't get in trouble. I Initially only captured the inside of the place when they turned the lights off on us before we walked out and there were no employees in the frame, but I had to start recording when the employee stood outside the business door and started recording me and the underage kids in the car and threatened to assault me. (What??) As if that wasn't enough, when she closed the shop and got into her ride's car, my friend told me to look at the car parked next to me because the blonde employee had started recording me again from inside her car, completely unprompted and was calling me a "stupid b*tch" while there was a nine year old child in the seat next to me. Talk about harassment!! At this point, my friend and I had to immediately leave the area and tell the kids we would have to get them ice cream some other time for our safety. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of despicable behavior and I still can't even believe that happened. Although the employee tried to lie to her boss about the events, I'm sure they had cameras that captured the entire situation and will tell the actual story. I would strongly advise the business owners to evaluate the type of people they hire. If you're looking for a good ice cream shop, I would highly recommend the Michoacána on Mill and Mt. Vernon instead (next to Wingstop). It's usually my go-to when I'm visiting Cali and it honestly never disappoints. I wish I would've gone there instead, but lesson definitely learned. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to try this place! I did my undergrad at UCR and never came here, but that was quite a while ago. I was in town visiting my sister and we came here for dessert after dinner. There's so much variety here to choose from!! I had such a hard time.
