Not terrible but not amazing. I've gotten pizza and apps from here a few times but its been hit or miss. Their pizza crust tastes good, but the amount of cheese they put on weigh it down. I hate when I'm about to bite into a piece of pizza and it flops down and grease drips every where. If you order here, ask for the crust to be crispy and this won't happen. The boneless wings are good and so are the french fries with cheese sauce. I like the fried ravioli but the sauce that comes with it has an odd, red pepper taste that I'm not a huge fan of. The pepperoni they use is also kind of gross and they put way too much on, which overpowers the whole pizza, making it taste like a giant piece of pepperoni. A-OK describes this place well. We ordered some to-go from this establishment recently as I wasn't feeling well and not up to cooking. The ordered was place with a friendly man, but he didn't take my name so i just assumed he had my number based on the caller ID (as other places do in the area). Upon arrival, my boyfriend had a difficult time because they stated that I did not order anything with them. Eventually this was figured out and he got our food. Tried this pizza for the first time today. I went there earlier today and just got delivery now as well. Their customer service is impeccable. Very kind people and I appreciate that. The pizza is quite good I'd say. The sauce is complex and they've put garlic powder on the crust. Pretty flavorful and good amount of greasy not too much. However at the end of the day I could only give the pizza itself a 3 out of 5. This is because the cheese is rubbery and there seems to be a bit too much of it. Now don't get me wrong you might like the rubbery cheese bounce thing I mean I like it it's not bad. I've gotten the Mushroom calzone from Micks three times now. I didn't want to rate it until I got it for the third time! It's the very best calzone I've ever had! My husband and I order from Mick's once in a while. He placed an order tonight and the girl on the phone was incredibly rude when he asked to include a soda and wanted to pay by a credit card. He told her to forget the order and as he was hanging up he cussed. I called back to speak with a manager to advise of the poor customer service. The same girl who answered put me on hold for five minutes and then hung up. I called back, and seeing my phone number come through on caller ID she put me on hold immediately. A man answered and asked what he could do for me, I said that I was a customer and asked for a manager but was disconnected. He again asked how he could help me and I asked him to clarify that he was a manager and his name. His name was Keith. I told Keith of what had transpired when my husband had called and the rude service he was provided, and that we likely would not order from Mick's again. He interrupted me to tell me that she was not rude and proceeded to argue with me because my husband got upset while he was hanging up the phone. He completely discounted the complaint, would not allow me to speak further, and then said "I have nothing further to say to you" and hung up. Mick's doesn't even have food good enough to provide this kind of service. We will without a doubt never order from them again and I'll be sure to advise every person I know of this. I was not expecting much from Mick's, as it occupies a small storefront alongside a laundromat. That'll teach me to judge a book by its cover. There are three pizza places in Cohoes, and when I first moved here, I mistakenly believed that the PIZZA CHALLENGE would be between House and Hometown, both on Remsen, but Mick's came out of nowhere and beat them both! It's all in their crust. I am normally not too concerned with the crust, but Mick's puts enough garlic and pepper in theirs to make it something you'd eat on its own. The two times I've gotten a pizza here, it's been cooked just right so that the crisp shell belies a soft chewy interior. Even better, you can sometimes find coupons to get a 6-slice cheese pie for extremely cheap. Actually, I think it was free, but I added a few toppings. Kudos to Mick's. read more

Micks Pizza has been around since i was a kid. The staple of food that everyone knows them by is a garlicy thin crust pizza. It is unlike most other crusts. I like it a lot. My girlfriend does not. So you have to ask yourself, " do i like a crispy toasted garlicy powdered crust?" If the answer is yes, then this is your place. I don't go here religiously, but its awesome from time to time. We've ordered take-out from Mick's a few times in the last couple of months and I'm impressed with their pizza. They specialize in NY style pizza and the crust has a nice dusting of garlic that makes it very tasty. Generally we order pepperoni pizza but we've also had sausage which is thin sliced and very delicious. The sauce and cheese are also very good so you can't go wrong here if you want this style of pizza. If you order their garlic sticks you'll have more than you thought because the sticks are HUGE. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is because the menu is limited but that is not a bad thing if you only want pizza and wings. read more

The hubby and I were craving pizza one Sunday night so since our typical Pizza joint is closed on Sundays, we had to improvise. I'm sure we just found a new favorite spot. We got the ricotta and spinach pizza with garbage bread. The pizzas in New York are double the size from the South so it's shocking how much we can get for the money! My hubs LOVES their garbage bread and I agree, very good. I only gave it 4 stars because there was a certain spice on the garbage bread that was very overwhelming for me. Pizza is much better when you buy a slice or two rather than when you buy a whole pie. Overly greasy, even for pizza. My least favorite thing about micks is that they are never open. They close super early every night and there are no set closing times. I get it, some nights you're slow and want to close, but if you're not open, no chance you'll ever be busy. read more

Their food is delicious, when they actually take my order, but they truly act like they don't want my business when I try to order. I tried to order for pickup on my way home from work but they would not let me pay an extra fee to add a side of cheese to an entree with fries, they said I had to order a separate side of cheese fries for an extra $10. I can only order for pickup now, I used to order a specialty pizza for delivery regularly but since COVID they have been putting me on hold to check if they're delivering to my area (totally understandable), but the last time I had ordered they confirmed the delivery driver was coming to my area that night and took my order, and then called me back later in the night to tell me to STOP ordering from them as they don't want to go that far anymore. I've been a consistent customer for over two years and ordered at least twice a month, usually more. I ordered today and a DRIVER took my order and gave me the wrong prices. He tried telling me it was $2 per meatball (yes, you don't automatically get meatballs with their spaghetti and meatballs even though their menu makes it sound like you do). In reality, it's $1 a meatball. But because he had said it was $2, I asked them to take them off the order. The lady I talked to after him told me the real price, so I said to just give us the meatballs then. While trying to apologize for the confusion (which wasn't even my fault to begin with), she slammed the phone in my ear. I was charged TWICE for our order on top of all of this - it came to over $70 that was taken out of my account. When I called back to talk to a manager, I was basically told 'oh well, wait for the money to go back into your account'. I mean Jesus, what if they had overdrafted my account? Then I called back again and got to talk to the owner and he told me the same thing. I've ordered at LEAST twice a month from this place for TWO YEARS and I refuse to ever order from there again. I'm telling all of my friends and family to do the same - all of which have been referred to there by us. I've never had such terrible customer service. So thanks, Mick's. I ordered subs the other day, the second time in two weeks. The first time it was a monday and I blamed the stale roll on the fact that it was monday, after the weekend. But this week the rolls were still dry, the turkey was dry to the point of being crispy on the edges and I ordered extra russian on the sub, and it looked like they dragged the knife across the roll, then scraped off all the dressing that didn't soak in. I was using Micks as my fall back on place to order, but I got stuck with crappy food twice within three weeks, and I think I would have been better off with peanut butter and crackers. read more

I called their establishment, and the girl whom answered the phone was less than miserable. I was attempting to order a special that we received in the mail as an advertisement to drum up business. I ordered and the only thing that we received on the line was hostility, as though she was appalled to have been taking my order. When I finished we hung up...I spoke to my wife...and within the next 20seconds we canceled our order. In the millions of times we have ordered pizza I don't think I have ever been this pissed. Have of recent past been a fan after many years of not being one. The first time we walked away was due to the excessive delivery time, estimate that we live 10 city blocks from this establishment and it would take up three hours for an advised 45 minute delivery. My most recent order was incorrect when called to try to correct was met with a defiant counter person that was insistent that that was the way order was placed and offered no resolution. That said, its not our first time and usually the delivery is about 45-60 min. The norm. The food is really good. But holy hotness, when they say hot they mean it! But I like a good burn, so I come back for more. The salads are pretty good, and the wings are tasty. The two rivers pizza is delicious, and the calzones are amazing. I definitely recommend. I waited an hour before calling them back to ask about my order and they haven't even started making it yet. 1 and a half hours later I finally received the two pizzas. We ordered Tomato Basil and Tomato Bacon Ranch pizzas. They looked decent... but... they tasted absolutely horrible. The crust is very thick and tough to chew. It was incredibly greasy and salty.
