For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars means I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. We went to Bellini's in Latham as a party of six. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it didn't really impress either. Several of us ordered the chicken parm, and while it tasted good, it came with a bit of a surprise. I order chicken parm pretty much anytime it's on a menu, so I've had a lot of versions over the years, and this was the first time I've seen it paired with a cream marinara style sauce on the ziti. It had more of a vodka sauce consistency. On its own it was fine, but it felt a little odd paired with traditional chicken parm. We all agreed it seemed like an odd pairing. Another issue was temperature. My chicken parm itself was hot, but the ziti was inconsistent, hot in the center and lukewarm, even a little cool, toward the edges of the plate. I asked the other people that had ordered it as well if it was just my plate and they said no theirs also was inconsistent. Someone in our group got the stuffed shells and said they were okay, but would have preferred a red sauce instead of the white sauce. Another person agreed with that. The pizza, on the other hand, was a good size and pretty solid. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Our waiter was friendly and did check in, but the overall pace was slow. We were there for about two hours, and it wasn't particularly busy and we just ordered entrees and two deserts. I'd say it was more on the mild side as far as busyness. the waiter also either forgot or didn't realize that two of the entrees came with a dessert, which we had to ask about. To his credit, he apologized when it was pointed out. Dessert ended up being cannolis and a slice of cheesecake, both of which were tasty. When the bill came, we noticed the total didn't seem to add up. After asking, it turned out gratuity had been included for a party of six or more. That's on the menu in smaller print, we just missed it, so not a big deal, but something to be aware of. The restaurant itself is nice inside, and the tables are roomy, which I liked. It is pretty noisy though, and it was hard to have a conversation with people at the other end of the table. The host staff were also very pleasant. I'd probably come back and give it another shot, but this visit didn't really stand out. 3 stars earned on this particular visit. read more

Went for happy hour at bar. Had 2 Hugo spritz not on happy hour. And they were yummy. Ordered the meatball, the arancini, and the pizza. The complimentary bread and pesto oil was yummy. I tried the pizza and it was wet and kind of burnt. I did tell the bartender and she alerted the mgr. He showed the kitchen apologized and offered to remake. Very attentive about that. I didn't need remade. The meatball was homemade and had a giant scoop of ricotta on it. Delish. And the arancini were in a Rosa sauce and had some cheese inside. Very filling. They were attentive and very sweet. A solid Italian place for sure read more

We went to Bellinis in Latham, which he knows I love being close to home, and I can get back to my pajamas ASAP - it's called adulting, folks. We started off with drinks; he had a Modelo, and I had the Bellini, which was deliciously strong. Then we ordered mozzarella bread with marinara sauce, and let me tell you, it was really good. I ordered the shrimp pesto dish, and he ordered veal - talk about a flavor explosion. I couldn't finish the whole thing, so I took half home. This place was top-notch, but the prices were steep, which is why I gave it four stars. I'm definitely down to try their Bellinis counter, and I'd go back here in a heartbeat - the food was amazing, and the service was even better. New favorite. So let me just say the service was amazing. Danielle and Claire were so attentive and friendly. They did not miss a beat. We started with two pitchers of Sangria. One red and one white.Both I would have loved for them to be stronger. But they were not bad. Now on to the food. Bread came out hot and was so good served with oil,Parmesan and seasoning. Calamari was Amazing.Caesar salad was very good. My main dish was so good I Almost ate all of it. If you know me I never finish my meal like ever lol. I was an invited guest to a reception at Bellini's. They had a dedicated room for the event with a special menu for guests. The food was lunch size portions. Wait staff were quick and efficient for the number in the room. Bread baskets and large salads to share were brought to tables to share and enjoy. SO enjoyed the chicken parm with a side of pasta, I had the chicken marsala. Dessert was a beautiful platter of pastries. Since it was an event, it is hard to judge the restaurant. I was underwhelmed as to expectations, hence not 5 stars. But staff did make a wonderful effort to deliver food while it was hot - thus the 4 stars. Parking is tight. I'd like to start out by saying that we used to dine at the Bellini's in Clifton Park before it closed, and the experience was always wonderful. However we were very disappointed with our dinner at the Bellini's in Latham. While the appetizer, the "Stack," was good, the veal parm had a great deal of gristle and was not at all tender. There was a marked lack of sauce on the food. We asked for more sauce. The waitress accommodated our request, but also informed us that if we wanted additional sauce there would be a charge. The sauce was lacking in taste. Sadly, tiramisu was the worst I've ever had. We had requested pumpkin cheesecake, but we were informed that they were sold out of that item, despite it being only 5:00 PM. Finally, we spotted a few fruit flies at our table. The scallops for some reason are cut up into tiny pieces ( almost like they are trying to hide how many scallops they are giving you) and then they were super over cooked to the point of a rubber texture. She ordered the penne all's vodka, the sauce was nice, creamy but the pasta was nuked. Waaay overcooked. I opted for CARCIOFO, pan-seared chicken, artichokes, capers, lemon, white wine, spinach, roasted red peppers, ancient grains. Overly buttery, spinach was non-existent, chicken was just ok. We dined At Bellini's in Latham quite awhile ago and left saying it was 'so-so'. We went again recently and all four of us really enjoyed our meals. It was a totally different experience. The Shrimp Scampi was one of the best I ever had! Everyone was pleased from soup to nuts! Service was very good also. There are so many restaurants to choose from so it's great when you get the check - pay the $$ - leave happy - and even remember the next day how good it was! Dining out is a luxury. Great place! A large group of us arrived late on a Saturday evening. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Having never been here I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and elegant decor. For an entree I ordered the Carciofo, which was chicken medallions, artichokes, spinach, capers, and white wine. The chicken was moist, light, and delicious. This was a very nice place to eat when my sales team was staying in Latham. It was recommended by several people. Our server Tony outside was a really nice guy and genuinely cared about our dining experience there. He was on it recommending specials and appetizers and his favorite dish, Tortelliji with Blackened Chicken. The chicken breast was so juicy and tender, pounded thin and then sear black crust of herbs and spices, nice cream sauce layered over homemade tortellini. We shared the meatball appetizers and fritto misto. Just excellent. Light flaky crispy coating on the calamari and onions. Definitely recommend that. It was a long hard travel day for me from the west coast with missed connections etc, couple bananas and airport protein shakes, it's was so nice to dine and relax in an enjoyable atmosphere and be taken care of and fed like family. By far I've had better meals ready to eat in the military after my delivery this past Sunday I am astonished that the health department has not raided this establishment to find out what microwave they are creating such a disaster in and is it clean? $190 order right down the drain. And with managements inability to please after multiple meals were found to be no better than Alpo it astonishes me there is even a business still standing at this location. Our Christmas party was hosted here this past week, so it gave me the opportunity to try a place out I probably wouldn't have stopped in to on my own. I have said in many other reviews before that I tend to not eat Italian out as it doesn't usually live up to my standards. I was pleasantly surprised with Bellini's! The food options were limited as it was a private function so I cannot comment on the menu as a whole, but the options we were given all seemed to sound delicious. I went with the rigatoni pasta which included a giant meatball and sausage. The sauce (or as I refer to it, gravy) was not overly sweet and had a seasoned, rich flavor. The meatball was cooked enough to wear it stayed together but wasn't a hard ball. I especially enjoyed the pesto sauce that came with the bread on the table. I also enjoyed the location our function was set up in. It was completely private if we wanted it to be, but also had the option to feel like we were a part of the rest of the restaurant. We've dined here twice - first with a group of 7 including a child and we had a great meal. The waitress did mess up my drink order and then charged us for it which was annoying but everything else was awesome, including my very customized seafood dish and sauce. The food was delicious and timely. The second time we came in as a couple for dinner and we split the giant meatball appetizer. It was amazing and the ricotta on top was the perfect addition. For entrees, I again enjoyed a delicious seafood entree - both times I customized the Cioppino sans mussels and calamari with a white wine garlic sauce instead of marinara. Something else I really appreciated on the second visit was our waitresses help in selecting a wine to accompany the meal. She gave me three samples so I could decide which I wanted - amazing. I'm not sure how soon we will be back because we moved, but I definitely recommend dining here! And make a reservation in the summer! read more

Bellinis is a great place to grab dinner and a drink with friends. The food is consistently good and the service is always fast and attentive. The atmosphere is ideal for chatting because it isn't loud but also isn't silent. Their pasta carbonara is really tasty and rich , although one time I do believe the pancetta was undercooked. They have really great bruschetta , but you don't need to order it bc they serve everyone bread with a yummy pesto Parmesan olive oil mix. Their menu is a little limited but has everything a standard Italian restaurant would have. Their wine selection is great. The prices are somewhere in the middle. I recommend this place for a girls night out(: but also want to point out that the other restaurant , bellinis counter is delicious if your in a hurry or want to take home :) read more

The restaurant looks nice, the service was good, but the food was nothing special. The servings were very large but so were the prices. $18 for Chicken Parm and the dinners don't even come with a salad. We ordered a small antipasto for an additional $17 that fed 2 of us. I liked the rigatoni and the marinara cream sauce was very good but the Chicken Parm was subpar and boring. If you can't make a good Chicken Parm I have very little faith in anything else you put out. I would give Bellini's Counter a shot but this restaurant is overpriced and underwhelming in an area with a ton of great Italian places. read more

Great service, great food, great outdoor seating and an overall wonderful experience. Came here on a Thursday evening with a friend for a late dinner (9:30pm). The outdoor seating area was really nice with fireplaces set up throughout the patio and lounge seating. I asked for the bread to be brought out as soon as possible as we were starving and our server did indeed bring it out really fast and also told us she put in an order for fresh ones as well. I got the minestra $8.95 which is a chunky mixture of greens and beans optionally topped with parmesan cheese. It was very hearty and absolutely delicious. It also went perfectly with the fresh, moist, and soft bread that our server brought out. We got the cheese plate to share $15.95. The ricotta cheese with walnut was delectable and my favorite! This restaurant does accept reservations which is a plus. We were promptly seated by a cheerful hostess and our waiter arrived a short time after. Our drink order was taken and fresh bread was brought to us with an amazing side of Pesto and Olive Oil. The menu has some Italian favorites like chicken parm and unique dishes as well. This was a pleasant and welcome surprise. The ambience is superb, Tucson Italian with copious amounts wine racks throughout. The only reason I did not grant another star is that salad is an up charge and my meal did not come with a side of pasta. It's worth a try. read more

We went to this restaurant with our daughters for the first time for family weekend at Siena College. When we entered, we were told they only had outside seating available as they were fully booked with reservations inside. I prefer outdoor dining anyways...so it was win for us...this place has a nice modern look. The waitstaff was awesome...very friendly and attentive...but the real winner was the food...this place puts out some seriously good Italian food. Our apps were arancini and garlic cheese bread...both were well portioned and seasoned properly. The arancini were by far the best I ever had. The mains were also a huge kit...chicken Milanese was served with a generous amount of risotto....this was an excellent choice. My oldest has pasta Bolognese...this was a large portion that had a ton of meat sauce on it, huge hit with her also...and she had plenty of leftovers for the dorm room! My youngest ordered chicken in a blush sauce...large portion and excellent taste...my wife ordered tortellini carbonara and again...large portion...she said it was the best she has ever had. I would strongly encourage you to support this restaurant as it is excellent from my experience...I guarantee we will be back here soon (this time with a reservation as the snow will be flying soon!) read more
