Nino's has such delicious pizza and food and always have gotten my order correct. However, I will only get takeout now, because sadly it is not worth the hassle to dine in. The service in your restaurant is sooo slow! waistaff serve people who came in later first and the waitresses do not check in on tables regularly then when you ask about it they look confused (this has happened several times). Hosts give completely incorrect estimated wait time of when you will be seated, and when food is taking a long time, when you ask (and have to waive the waistaff down even though they walk by you and are right near you) when your food will arrive they do not know and say "it should be out in a minute" which is inaccurate because it takes so long. it really is outrageous. I have given dining in many chances sitting in there. Even with kids, its like the waitresses are clueless walking around- sorry it has to be said. I have friends who say the exact same thing. If you want to keep customers, please train or RE-train your waitstaff (and hosts). They always look confused our wait time was 20 minutes and it took an hour and 15 minutes to sit with my children and THEN the crazy wait time to be checked in on for drinks and then waiting for food is just crazy. Who is managing this restaurant? There is a woman who works at the front answering phones and filling orders and I also see her hustling around the restaurant literally doing other peoples jobs- she is PHENOMENAL and really the only one there who gets things done. Please give her a raise and hire some people to help her so she doesn't quit. Food is delicious but so is it at other places and it is way too much of a hassle and frustrating experience to sit there, AND not have any waitstaff have a clue of what is happening, or even apologize or anything. read more

Ninos is the GOAT for calzones and pizza. You can't go wrong here with anything you order. Staff is especially kind and attentive. It is a small family owned business and can get extremely busy but it's all hands-on deck and they make sure you leave happy with a full belly. We frequently order out and you can track your order online so you know when to pick up. There is a table out back for this pretty big if you have a large group. I also have to mention that they are phenomenal with food allergies my son has a peanut/treenut allergy and dines here safely. They even have David's nut free brownies. I found this out by accident because it was my birthday and I work right up the street so I ordered a pizza for lunch. They actually credit you a small cheese pizza for your birthday, which is extremely generous. I arrived to pick up my order and was wished a happy birthday and she gave me a brownie on the house as well. It was so kind and thoughtful. Nino's is the best place I've ever been restaurant wise and I'm not even exaggerating. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel like you're friends. (Annie, Kim, Sophia, Amanda just to name a few are so kind and very attentive to my order whenever I go). I usually always drop in on Sundays and it's always a beautifully cozy environment, clean, and lit well. The prices are extremely reasonable for the portion sizes and it's really good! I highly recommend any pasta dish, any calzone, the grilled chicken Caesar salad is the best I've ever had, and the chicken parm pizza with pink sauce is incredible. I would also recommend the cheese fries or their famous pizza fries. I always tip a lot because the service is so good and they're always so kind to me. Something I always appreciate is how they are so patient with me. I am very indecisive and take forever to figure out what I want. It means a lot how patient they are with me! I ordered pizza online from Ninos. When I got home the order was not correct. I had to grate my own cheese to add to it and went without other missing items. Even the crust was tough and chewy. I have ordered and enjoyed pizza from Ninos many times but this was a real disappointment. I tried calling but line was busy for hours. Ever since my husband and I moved to Johnston 2.5 years ago, we've been ordering from Nino's Pizza pretty regularly. We've never eaten inside but their delivery service is top notch! The drivers are always incredibly friendly, the staff over the phone are great and the food is delivered fast and fresh! Out of over 25 orders, we've never had an issue. I recently had to go gluten free and started ordering their cauliflower crust pizzas and calzones. They're delicious! They make great salads as well! My husband always gets a medium pizza with different toppings. We used to get a large pizza and it was MASSIVE with a perfect balance of toppings. We've also tried their tenders, fried ravioli, meatballs, sandwiches (their Italian grinder is so good!) and everything has been delicious! It holds up very well for leftovers too. I love that you can customize most things on the menu and online ordering is so simple and easy. They have great prices and the reward points are great! We had chicken wings and were able to request all flats, a pepperoni and cheese calzone which was packed with cheese. The food can be good when they get your order correct. Unfortunately it's very hit or miss. Last time I got my salad but the chicken was ice cold. Normally this is not the case. Then again atleast I got chicken with my last salad. I just got my grilled chicken salad home just now and guess what wasn't that included in my grilled chicken salad. You guessed it, there's no chicken. I've been trying to call ninos for about 20 minutes but the phone is busy. I got they once but was put on hold for 11 minutes. I finally gave up. So glad to return to Nino's and have the perfect dinner and experience. It is of course with gratitude to our server Renee, who listened to all of our requests, , and the chef who prepared the excellent meals. Beginning with the thick pizza, half pepperoni and half olives, we enjoyed the appetizer, and then the house salads which were plentiful, fresh, and tasty. My spaghetti Aglio e Olio with broccoli and chicken was prepped based upon my desires, filled with garlic and olive oil. Adding their grated cheese brought it to perfection - it is unusual to get that with this particular dish as it is often not appetizing and savory. Our other entree was that of the deliciously tender Veal Sorrentino, served with penne and layered with ricotta, eggplant, mozzarella, all in a marinara sauce. Portions were generous and pleasing. I have lived next door for a while and always just got the Hawaiian pizza, arguably one of the best I've ever had (I get it without bacon). Last week I got the Nino's Italian grinder. Hot and as is. Completely blown away. Best Grinder I've ever had let alone the best Italian sub. I've got it 5 out of the last 7 days and it's been consistently unbeatable in size (I've got Lg & Sm), price, taste and presentation. The small is $7.99 large is $8.99 and both give you enough to eat twice. I don't think I've left a Yelp review in years but for this I had to!
