We ended up at Mickys after Hamburger Mary's because a few people in our group had those high-heeled shoe cups and were told we'd get discounted drinks if we brought them over. Naturally, we followed through. The second we walked in, we were greeted by two very handsome dancers wearing basically nothing but skimpy underwear and a whole lot of confidence. Not a bad welcome at all. I grabbed a lychee martini, met back up with my friends, and we hung out for a bit just soaking it all in. The vibe was fun, the drinks were good, and we laughed nonstop. What can I say? It's Micky's. However you feel about the place, you likely know before you walk in. If you don't, let's just say the indoctrination process is quick and sometimes painful. I liked Mickey's. The happy hour specials were great and they had good seating when it wasn't busy. The music they played was also great and the staff was so friendly and chill. I had a good time visiting and taking advantage of their happy hour. They also have a pitcher of margarita plus all you can eat tacos for $14 but didn't try the tacos so not sure how that was. This place is a total scam. They charge $20 cover after 2AM and don't convey to their customers that they don't offer alcohol at that time nor do they offer in and out privileges. We got to Micky's pretty early in the night which was great because we got a good table and I was able to watch the crowd start to grow pretty quickly thereafter. First impression of the bartenders.....so nice and the drink special could not be beat. Five dollar well drinks. And can we talk about the pour? We had tequila with a splash of pineapple! Of all the places I would go on to drink at Micky's was the best bang for your buck. DJ was playing good music and the go- go dancers started doing their thing. They were hot and definitely getting tips from the crowd. Speaking of, I loved that it was well mixed. Average pour in a cocktail 1.5 oz Cocktail alcohol cost $1.29 Do I understand all the added costs of rent, labor, insurance, entertainment - absolutely not but I also don't understand the concept of charging $20 per drink and having an empty bar. Who is doing the math at these bars ?? Waking up the morning after 3 drinks with a friend and dropping $164 in the process sucks balls !! It gives me EVERY reason to entertain at home . When I ask for a cup of water and they either tell me "we only have bottles" or just give me a bottle and then charge $5. I'm sorry, but you're losing my tip. I standardly tip 30-50+% every time. But when I'm automatically given a more expensive liquor (without being asked) or being charged for water...I'm sorry, but I'm not tipping well. I HATE to leave a negative review on a queer establishment like this but my god. The worst experience I've ever had in West Hollywood. This place leaves a LOT to be desired, but what put me over the top this time was the incredibly rude bartender who tried to charge me an exorbitant amount and then got belligerently rude when I questioned why my bill was so high!! He must have thought I was dumb as rocks if he thought I was going to believe one rum and coke cost $50. I told him I believe I was overcharged and he got ANGRY at me!! He even called over the security guard for me, an almost middle aged woman!! The security guard just looked at me in disbelief. Even he knew this short shady bartender was acting foolish. Luckily a taller, handsome bartender came over after seeing the commotion that was being caused by his colleague. I explained the situation to him the same way I explained it to the angry man, but this one got it figured out right away and reimbursed me. Found out later his name is Johnny. Thank you Johnny for helping me get reimbursed and deescalating the situation. Like I said, I only had ONE drink so I think the other man was hoping I was too drunk to notice. I thought it was an honest mistake but after reading others comments I fear it may have been deliberate. This short mean bartender needs to get a grip. My friends and I chose Micky's for Halloween specifically because we love the venue's spacious dance floor, but the entire execution of the event was a complete disaster. We paid $50 for VIP access expecting smooth entry and re-entry privileges, but instead, we were met with a chaotic free-for-all mosh pit at the entrance. There were no signs, and we watched as $5 general admission guests were let in ahead of us. After waiting about 30-ish minutes just to get inside, we faced another disorganized scramble for wristbands where security did nothing while people cut the non-existent line. Once inside, we immediately saw that the promised re-entry privilege was impossible due to the initial chaos, rendering the VIP "perk" useless; in fact, our general admission friends walked inside right as we finished the entry process. While the music and the venue itself were fine, the terrible system and organization made the VIP ticket a total waste of money. I wouldn't purchase a VIP ticket here ever again. Better off just paying $5 or going somewhere else entirely. read more

Be very ALERT when coming here. There is a tag team that goes around stealing phones, wallets, or anything else you have in your pockets! They are very sneaky, they dance up close and bump you. If you confront them, one will stay and play the innocent victim while the other one takes off with the stuff.... OR if you catch the other one, she'll run away!
