    Mico Caesar Salad
    Kailee N.

Wow absolute must try!! We went to restaurant week which was such a steal. Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. I loved that chimichurri came with the steak. The apple pie pudding was so delicious as well. I loved the atmosphere, the designs inside were beautiful. Service was great.

So nice! We were a bit early for our 5:15 reservation, and they did have us wait until nearly the time. I would absolutely recommend making a reservation though, even for an early time. The decor is beautiful and I love the idea of the slightly open kitchen. Our server was wonderful. Very attentive, very kind. Everything we ordered was amazing - but the stand out was the octopus appetizer. Perfectly cooked, not too chewy, and the sauce was amazing. We actually had an issue with one of the meals- they brought out the chicken paella instead of the scallops. They fixed the mistake pretty quickly, but it did make us have to wait a bit! This is absolutely a must try for a fancier dinner!

    This was weird

Went here for my Boyfriends birthday. We were a group of five. Our reservation was at 8:00pm and our sever (not sure his name, but had longer hair) was nice person but not very attentive. Not sure if he just had too many tables to handle, but drinks and apps didn't come out tile 8:40. We asked to order he said he'd be back we were still waiting so we asked the food runner if she could grab our server we needed to order still. He finally comes back with the drinks 30/40 minutes later and forget our friend's hot water he goes to grab it, and I tell him no we need to really order. We got the ribeye and added lobster and also the crab and caviar butter to the steak. Beware the lobster is not a tail it's random chunks which was weird to me it looked like the same mix in the sliders from our appetizer. Food comes out but our ribeye steak is raw, sent it back. It comes back and they for some reason mixed the crab caviar butter with the lobster..... not sure why they'd do that (that was so weird and off putting.) Me and my boyfriend were sharing and I don't like lobster that's why we also added the crab caviar butter. So I stuck to eating my 2 scallops and little bit of steak untouched by the lobster... no crab I guess for me. Asked if they did anything for birthday and was told "we could put a candle on whatever." But nothing complimentary even with a raw steak or food mishap bar drinks take 20 minutes. Overall was kind of mid. Decor and visual was cute

What a beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen. The detail in the decor is absolutely stunning! I ate here a few times while staying for a work trip. The bar team, Nilson made great cocktails and very friendly. The servers, Kallie, Mirtha, Ashley and Tanner took great care of me while I was there and made great recommendations. Christina their director has great taste in wine and I enjoyed flipping through their wine book. They offer a really cool high altitude Malbec wine flight which was very fitting for their "theme." I thoroughly enjoyed the food for lunch and dinner. The pull apart Pan de queso was delicious, whole branzino and paella was all great. The chefs do a great job here and I look forward to coming back!

I was looking for a nice spot for date night, and I found just the one! The interior is beautiful, modern and elegant and a little maximalist. Juan was our server and he was great! The menu had a lot of great options on it. We started with drinks and I believe I got the signature cocktail which was the perfect choice. We got some steak skewers as an appetizer and Juan even brought us out a small bite-sized starter from the chef which was delicious! We had trouble deciding between lots of delicious options on the menu, although we settled on the scallops and steak which were both cooked well and we're complimented with tasty greens. We couldn't pass up dessert either! I was excited to see that they had dessert wine recommended as a pairing so we got one of those as well as two desserts that were both creatively and beautifully plated! I would definitely recommend and would be excited to return!

Beautiful space located in the Bohemian Hotel in Charlotte. I was there to celebrate a birthday and even though we had a group of 8 the service did not fail us. Our server was attentive, explained the menu in detail and even extended the restaurant week menu to us which was a plus. The food - amazing! I had the lobster bisque which was seasoned well and the full of lobster. My main course was paella with shrimp. The portion was perfect and the shrimp was well prepared. My last drink was a French 76 that I absolutely loved. I'd definitely come back to experience other items on the menu. Lovely experience!

I stopped by Mico's for brunch while staying at The Grand Bohemian, and let's just say-the aesthetics and overall vibe are truly one of a kind. They had love music featuring an electric guitarist and a violinist, delivering incredible jams that elevated the entire experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and while the Bohemian Breakfast was simple, it was absolutely delicious. I opted in for the homemade biscuit with house-made mixed berry jam, and it did not disappoint-so good. If you're in the mood for brunch, this spot is definitely worth a visit. There's so much to enjoy beyond just the cool vibes. Until next time.

Came here for my birthday brunch and of course, Mico did not disappoint. They always roll out the royal brunch treatment. Perfect Eggs Benedict, ice-cold mimosas, and just when you think it couldn't get better... boom. Birthday churro-donuts. From the service, to the immaculately decorated space, Mico truly knows how to make a birthday princess feel like a birthday Queen.

Well let me say this. The food at this place was absolutely amazing. We had the 20 oz ribeye and the whole oak grilled Branzino. She had a mocktail I had a glass of wine with a side of sauteed mushrooms and collard greens. We also ordered the special appetizer oyster witch was delicious. They were topped with caviar and bacon. We also split the apple bread pudding for dessert. I got the chimichurri seasoning with the ribeye and I ordered it medium rare. They cooked it perfectly. Just wish it was a little bit hotter when it came out. The bill came to about $200 before tip. The environment was very posh. They had a best wine selection and they also have a private room on the side. Now as far as the service goes I think they were short staffed. From the time we walked in until the time we got our food it was about a good hour 20 minutes. Yes I'm sure everything is made to order but I think they were short of staff so it took a little bit longer to get our food. I think this restaurant also does room service for the hotel so it may also contribute to the reason. We will be returning to this spot because the food was that good.

Celebrated a birthday dinner here with two friends. Everything was delicious from the drinks to the food! We did have an issue with some of the water glasses, but it was quickly noticed and handled before we could even mention it. Our waitress was great! She answered all of our questions and made recommendations that made for a good dining experience.

My sister celebrated her 39th birthday this past Saturday at Mico's. It was dinner for 5 people and we got there around 8pm for an 8:30pm reservation. We parked with valet for $28, which I thought was quite steep but the guys were pleasant and helpful. We checked in with the lovely hostess who had such a warm smile on her face. She even obliged in taking pictures of us. Shortly after, we headed to the dining room to be seated. The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening so it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over and provided us with some menus and took our drink orders. I settled on hot green tea with lemon and honey. My sister and cousins got specialized cocktails/mocktails that were not on the menu. For our meal, my sister got the veggie paella, my cousins had the salmon and chips & dip, and I had sweet plantains and the truffle mushrooms. The mushrooms were so delicious, as were the plantains. I wasn't hungry so I opted for side dishes. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the menu was priced moderately. The ambiance of the restaurant is also captivating. The lit up bar leading into the kitchen, the open space concept in the dining area, and the private dining room all add to the simplicity, yet uniqueness of the space.

Tucked at 435 S Tryon, this spot feels like stepping back in time while still enjoying modern elegance. The building itself is the star before you even sit down: a beautifully preserved 1929 Mediterranean Revival gem (originally Ratcliffe's Florist Shop) with original floors, red-brick walls and those stunning decorative Tiffany-style stained-glass windows. The arched ceilings and historic details make the whole room glow -- it's romantic, warm, and full of old Charlotte charm without feeling stuffy. You can literally feel the history while you dine. The menu has that perfect "olden take" I was hoping for -- classic fine-dining favorites done with fresh, New American flair. Think herb-crusted rack of lamb with rosemary jus, pan-seared Chilean sea bass, local shrimp & grits, or a perfectly grilled filet mignon; not leave out the duck, elk and emu. Everything is beautifully plated, and the portions are generous for this level. (Pro tip: add the lobster tail upgrade if you're celebrating!) Service was polished and friendly -- our server knew the wine list and the building's backstory, which made the night even more special. The whole experience felt special-occasion worthy but not pretentious. Whether you're coming before a show at the Knight Theatre or just treating yourself Uptown, Bernardin's delivers on atmosphere, history, and food. Easily one of my new favorite spots in Charlotte. Seafood is expensive, I get that. But I don't know that there's much value to be had here. Portion sizes are small relative to what you're paying for. And in my opinion, while the freshness and the quality of the seafood may be there, the flavor is not. I have no doubt that the quality of the seafood here is good. But I did not enjoy anything I ordered. I wasn't put off by the food, but I wish I had wanted to savor each bit. I ordered the cajun grilled oysters and the miso sablefish. Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.

I would return in the future as I've heard other lovely things and would be open to trying other options.
