We decided to bar hop one night and landed ourselves at Supperland. I think we got lucky, as they had one table open in the little offshoot bar area that night. Service was great! Friendly, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. Of course, it was beautiful inside. I loved the bright but soft lighting, the open vaulted ceilings, the wallpaper, and they even have plates made for them from England! Talk about details!! Drinks were thoughtfully crafted and well-balanced. There is a wide selection of bases to fit everyone's tastes. We just had a few bar bites (bread, wedge salad, and miso mac & cheese). All were great! Left me wanting to try more for sure! But the M&C - drool. I love miso and would have never thought of the combo - it works oh so well! All this being said, I can see why it's a hot spot in town! I can't wait to go back. I hear Sunday brunch is all the rage!
We came for the brunch! Very cute restored church with aesthetically cute plates and silverware. The food was okay... I would probably rate it a 3.5 star due to the price for what you actually get. The French toast bites were definitely the "wow" factor but unfortunately they were a little hard to get because they were the "pass around" plates that rarely came over. The skewers and spicy gravy were good!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing ambiance and excellent service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I shared the blackened onions, Brussels, pot roast and seasonal sweet and spicy cornbread . All was delicious! Our only complaint was that the first pot roast we received was primarily fat , barely any meat. For the cost of it that was a little disappointing . However, we were brought a new pot roast and that one was much better!
Really cute place inside an old church with lovely light fixtures. My friend and I went for the weekend brunch buffet and felt it was overpriced. We tried almost everything and nothing really had a wow factor and did not feel like we ate $80 worth of food. The bread for the Loaded Tea Sandwiches was dry. The Mixed Greens Salad was good but we had to ask for dressing, if there was dressing it was very light. The French Toast Bites were our favorite, the server comes around with these and we had to ask. I ordered a coffee and it was brought to the table next to us, the server came and moved it from their table to ours which was odd. Staff was nice but will not be doing this again due to value.
Another amazing place in Charlotte located in a cool part of town. This restaurant was built within an old church and includes a custom wood fired cooking grill that is quite impressive. We sat at the bar which allowed us to watch and smell all the amazing dishes being made. The service was great and the experience was amazing. We shared our dishes and everything was quite delicious. It's on the pricey side but they staff for a full house so I get it and the quality is top notch.

My server was so knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to actively help me narrow down which drinks I'd be more in tune to and she made some great food suggestions as well. For my "how does this work" anxiety friends: Small bites at the buffet bar. For the hot and savory foods, there is an open counter with a full service team and signs that mention which station serves what. And passed around the dining room are more fun options when you're seated. The entire atmosphere was intimate and warm. Thank you for a great birthday brunch!

Great wood fired steak & service! We loved the rib eye paired with the onions which was recommended by our server. We added mashed potatoes and broccoli to round out the meal. Our server also recommended a wine which paired perfectly with the meal. We were too full to eat dessert. So we ordered the chocolate chip cookies to go, I loved the interest that the sesame seeds added.
I wish I could do 3.5 stars. So the food is good, but for the price point and all the hype, it really should be better. $125 for the ribeye and it was really grizzly.... Like it wasn't a good piece of meat. It wasn't cooked well either.... Medium steak should not be red red in the center. It wasn't brought to room temp before cooking. $120 for a lobster that was just okay? The sides and appetizers were delicious, but again, I feel like for being a top restaurant in Clt, i expected more
We came here for brunch on a Saturday and loved the buffet experience! So many options to pick from, but I loved the waiters walking by serving oysters and small cinnamon rolls most! We were pretty stuffed by the time brunch was over. Would definitely come back, we've also been here for dinner and had an equally awesome experience :)
I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Supperland with friends. The interior is beautiful (though maybe a little loud), and the service was outstanding. Our server, Nick, was very knowledgeable and helped us choose a great selection of food and drinks. This is one restaurant in Charlotte where "shared plates" are actually large enough to share. Between five of us, we enjoyed bread, onion dip with house chips, a steak, miso mac and cheese, corn dip, brussels, mushroom risotto, and smashed potatoes. We were too full to order dessert, unfortunately. I was impressed with the depth of flavor in every dish, but especially the mushroom risotto. I will absolutely be back.

Went to Supperland for dinner and honestly had a great experience from start to finish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is beautiful -- classy but still comfortable -- and the bar area alone is worth checking out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has that warm, lively feel that makes you want to hang out and enjoy your time instead of rushing through the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did a wine flight to start, which was a fun way to try a few different pours, and everything paired really well with dinner. The highlight for me was the whole roasted fish. Crispy on the outside, super tender inside, and really clean, fresh flavor. Simple but done really well. Service was on point too -- friendly, attentive, and helpful without hovering. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and one I'd recommend if you're in Charlotte and want a solid dinner with great drinks and atmosphere. read more
O M G This is the best brunch I've EVER had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting is an old church and they very much tried to preserve that vibe. It's a beautiful place. They even still have the 120 year old pews![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you ask your server, you are likely to hear the entire story of the place. It's pretty amazing. They recently received a Michelin recommendation and it's totally deserved. It's a buffet, but most of the hot food is actually served by a person which is something that I particularly appreciate. (I really don't like touching the handles of spoons that hundreds of people have touched.) Some of the stuff is self serve but not any of the hot dishes. Absolutely everything I tried was outstanding. Like everything. There are a few things that they consider "pass around" which means that they are brought over to you by a server at random intervals. For everything else, you just help yourself. I went with a friend of mine who has a deep appreciation for a southern food. He was absolutely amazed. Honestly, I can't think of a better place to have chosen to eat in a short time I had in Charlotte. I've attached a picture of the menu. I tried just about everything. I wasn't disappointed in a single thing, and I was completely wowed by many of them. The servers were wonderful. We had a reservation at Supperland, and while they were running a little behind (understandably so with the bad weather and guests lingering longer), the team handled it perfectly. The manager, Walter, personally escorted us to the bar area and helped us find a couple of seats so we could relax with drinks while we waited. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It ended up being such a fun start to the night, we watched the mixologist at work, which was really cool, and the vibe in the extended bar area was fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Honestly, we could've stayed there all evening. Once our table was ready, we ordered several plates to share, and everything was incredible as always. The French onion dip is our favorite. Great experience and incredible food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: The main dining area is gorgeous and feels comfortably grand, something I would expect from a rebuilt church turned restaurant. An elevated southern cuisine menu that was worth the price, especially givne the portions provided. The servers were very helpful explaining the serving size and guidance on the menu and preferences. Overall: supperland is a treat thats worth the price if you're looking for an elevated welcoming dining experience. I came here for my birthday and everything was fantastic! To start we ordered the sausage and gravy croquets (YUM) and the charred wedge salad. The salad was the only thing I was not a fan of. It was very bland and I wouldn't order it again. For the main course we had the ribeye, crispy potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and cream spinach. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Very diverse wine selection and VERY knowledgeable waitress. We had a group of 12 and at NO POINT did we ever have to look for someone to assist. The only issue was a lot of the options including desserts had tree nuts in/on them. Accommodating and informative when asking about allergies. read more

This restaurant is divine! From the stunning interior, amazing service, and delicious food, Supperland is a standout restaurant. We started with the Sausage Gravy Croquettes. These were seriously one of the best appetizers I have ever had! They had so much flavor and the pickled onion really made them a 10/10. For the main we split the Wagyu Pot Roast, Miso Mac & Cheese, and the Glazed Covington Sweet Potato. The pot roast was delicious and is so tender it just melts in your mouth. The mac and cheese is delicious and the sweet potato was unlike any other I've ever had! My husband and I split all of this and it was the perfect amount of food. Supperland is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion or to bring out of town guests looking for a great meal. It is pricey since it is a steakhouse, but it is worth the splurge. I look forward to returning to Supperland in the future! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Supperland is the place to go with family and friends for a great dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress, Marjorie, struck up great conversation with every guest she served along the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a joy to be seated along the bar as we got front row seats to watch all the orders come in through the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We thoroughly enjoyed the head chef calling out orders to the team members in the kitchen, to watch them fill countless orders and sending them out batches at a time. I already have an idea what I'll order next time--pork can can, cast iron corn salad and ice cream sundae. We tried the 10 oz. Prime Filet and wood oven brussels sprouts. While the filet was steeply priced at $86, it definitely was a tender and robust flavored cut! I loved that our girl, Marjorie, took back our brussels sprouts as requested to have prepared less charred. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere at Supperland is energetic and rightfully so![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We can see why this restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide. read more

Alright alright let me first just say, BELIEVE THE HYPE. Everything about this place was top tier. The food, incredible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance, unrivaled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But folks the service really stole the show and that's tough because the first two were seriously great. I went for my birthday dinner and had a great time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We first got seated and were having drinks, a fly fell on the table. No big deal - they have an outside patio and the door opens and closes constantly as servers and guests come and go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't mind and so I went to kill the fly with my napkin. 30 seconds later a staff member runs over says "excuse me but I think I saw you kill a fly a moment ago." Folks let me tell you I was extremely discreet when killing that thing but somehow the staff member clocked it, acknowledged it, and promptly cleaned the entire table and brought out fresh napkins and silverware. It's the details that go a long way and that moment let me know just how much care the Supperland team takes when catering to customers. 11/10 experience! read more
Set inside a beautifully restored church, it's easy to feel positively euphoric inside of Supperland. The china? Extraordinary. The food? Don't even get me started. This atelier ("restaurant" doesn't even come close to describing this place) is a perfect showcase of Charlotte's culinary magic: where every bite is an experience. If you haven't been yet, go now. Ordered for 2: Roasted Oysters, Prime Filet, Miso Mac & Cheese topped with Jumbo Lump Crab, Wood-Oven Brussel sprouts, Raspberry Chocolate Pie, and PB&J Cobbler Service/Atmosphere: Located inside of a renovated church this restaurant was one of a kind and truly very beautiful inside. We arrived just in time for our 7pm reservation and were seated instantly. Our server was very knowledgeable and recommended a few items on the menu. We followed her recommendation and added the topped jumbo lump crab onto our mac & cheese, and it was delicious. Overall, my husband and I liked this restaurant and everything we ordered. It is all served family style so ordering only one steak (10oz prime filet) was enough for us with the sides and appetizers. We each ordered a dessert as well because we couldn't decide which one sounded better and left the restaurant very full. If you are looking for some recommendations from the restaurant, our top menu items were roasted oysters, prime filet, miso mac & cheese and the PB&J Cobbler. Everything was delicious but those items stood out amongst the rest. read more

We were visiting from out of town and this has become one of my top favorite places ever to eat! It is very hard to get a reservation so book asap and ask questions later. They had Wagyu potroast and OMG it was sooo good. Everything we had was great, we basically tried one of everything. Can't wait to be back. The history is a old church and they have one strip of the original floor right down the aisle, so charming. read more

Great restaurant that puts a delightful spin on Southern and pot luck style foods. It is located in an old church providing a unique dining atmosphere and experience. We enjoyed the prime rib steak cooked medium rare with a side of bone marrow broccoli, miso Mac n' cheese and blackened onions which was plenty for two people (we even took some food home with us). We heard that you must leave room for dessert so we tried the Cheerwine Float Sundae and it did not disappoint- the cheerwine (cherry flavored) homemade ice cream was delightful and the rich chocolate brownie pieces made this dessert a unique but decadent and memorable dessert! read more

This is one of many times we have visited Supperland and I have not stopped and taken a moment to say something about this fabulous restaurant in CLT. From the atmosphere to the food and the service everything is top notch. A must experience is their weekend brunch. We have gone twice and both times it has been out of this world. It is a combination of buffet style, made to order and specialty items being brought out and served fresh around the dining hall. Other than it always being a chore to park in Plaza Midwood, it's worth the hassle to dine at Supperland. read more

The food is served family style... but it's the service that makes you feel like family. From the time we entered we were welcomed with a smile and I noted that they mentioned preferences and allergies to our server. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The renovated church gives a new feel while keeping the historic antique look present. This is exemplified by the china and silverware they used. Traditional style tea cups made you feel like high tea[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our server, Marjorie, was exceptional! She bought out a special birthday treat for our friend with a birthday card. This is the details I adoreThe food was hot , well seasoned and delicious. I love the unique , contemporary version of southern comfort food. Best wood grill taste! You must go! This was our 1st time trying supperland and everything fell just right! We found out that they didn't have any reservations available but they didn't open until 5 so we were there as soon as they opened so we didn't have to wait. The menu isn't the largest in town but it has great home cooked meals. We were told that all the entrees were large enough for 2 so we ordered the Branzino,a whole flavorful buttery white fish. Very good, we ordered the Brussels and macaroni and cheese, along with a Caesar salad that was huge, that had an authentic flavor to it. The service was top notch. The restaurant is wide open yet still cozy, the next visit I'll try the steak. read more

Although I've heard about Supperland a few times, I never made a plan to visit until recently. I learned that, when making the reservation for brunch, patrons are required to pay for the entire bill up front. There's nothing to pay when you dine unless you purchase a few extra drinks, for example. Parking wasn't too bad. We parked across the street and paid less than $5.00 for 2 hours. After a short walk to the restaurant, we entered and were seated pronto. The restaurant was beautiful and it wasn't too loud. The pineapple starter arrived, which was a nice touch. As we visited the different food stations, servers everywhere were walking around the dining room with raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, and cinnamon rolls. The oysters were sooo fresh, so I ate one each time a server brought them to our table. The shrimp cocktail was better than average because the cocktail sauce had a big, spicy, burn-your-nostrils and clear-your-sinuses kick. The cinnamon rolls were served room temperature but they were still melt-in-your mouth rolls. Our waitress was a nice lady who barely spoke over a whisper. Even with perfect hearing, we had to strain and read lips to understand what she was saying. She still got the job done though. We enjoyed the experience so much, we returned one week later, again for brunch. I'd say just eat a larger lunch beforehand and you'll be ok but it is just that....bites.....so don't expect a meal. You do get 4-5 things to sample though, at least when I got to go.
