This place is very accommodating. I called on a Saturday and they were able to get someone out Monday to my workplace for no extra charge. I'm normally don't trust anyone to work on my vehicles. I have a pretty complete shop and would rather do the work right myself than pay someone else to screw it up. After watching some youtube videos about windshield replacement I decided it would be best to have a pro do it. Yesterday I searched online and called several places before finding Microchip on here. I talked to Eugene and he was by far the best deal and also very professional so I immediatly set up an appointment. His tech Jim was at my house promptly at 8:00 this morning. Jim replaced the windshields on both my car and truck in two hours flat, very quick but also very thorough. I did remove the chrome trim and wiper arms on the truck and wiper arms on the car to speed things up. Jim pointed out a couple of patches of rust that I took care of (my truck is an '87 so I was expecting that). One place I called said they wouldn't even do the replacement if there was rust. I was glad that Jim let me work on it with him rather than upselling me on extra services or worse, just covering it up only to have it leak later. All in all I'm very happy and would use them again in the future. read more

Arrived when they said, with advance notice given, to repair the glass in a car window that a creep broke into. The repair guy (Jim, I believe) was very nice, polite and did a great job. He explained that he also cleaned out the apparatus in the window so glass wouldn't wreck the mechanism. He vacuumed up the broken glass in the back seat area and side, and even cleaned up the glass in the gravel where I park. He was great - - they should give him a raise! I would use them again. Their price was also fair. I was a little surprised that the credit card reader also suggested a tip, which isn't usual for this kind of business, but I did do it because Jim was great. read more

I had my car broken into recently and was struggling to find places open on a Saturday to replace my window. I called around and got prices and availability. It wasn't until I called microchip auto glass and the guy on the phone said he would check stock and availability and call me back within 30 minutes. As soon as I got off the phone with him, he texted me saying the price and that someone would be out within the hour. I was so relieved they were $100 less than Safelite, could do it same day, and would come to me. On the freeway, a rock hit my windshield trim on driver's side and started a runner about 6 months ago. By March the crack was half way across the windshield and in my line of site so I found Microchip Auto Glass on yelp on a Saturday. I called a few for comparisons on price and time involved. Spoke to Eugene who gave me my quote and made my appointment to have Jim come to my house and replace it. His price was better than any of the others I called and I didn't have to take my car and leave it or wait 3 hours (Budget Glass) so I eagerly booked for the following Monday morning. Jim called to say he was on his way, apx 30 minutes before my appt. He got there and realized I had a rain sensor on my windshield, 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the one he had brought did not have that upgrade. He made a call and was able to pick one up and do his next job and back to me within 2 hours or so, He worked fast yet efficiently and had the job done in less than an hour, My husband asked if he could fix a rock chip on his windshield while he was here, And Jim did that too for an added fee! Got a rock chip and was worried with the weather being below 30 in the evenings the chip would crack further. Called up Eugene the next morning and his guy came out 2pm. Yes, they came to my house, but the only down side was a time frame 12-2pm so I was waiting around a bit. I could tell they were busy though as the 3-way conversation between my insurance, Eugene, and I didn't happen until 2 hrs after my windshield was fixed. Better to wait at my house while doing things than at some shop. It wasn't weird when they came to fix the windshield. Jim was nice and got the job done quickly. Would recommend them :) read more
