These folks are an example of excellence. I got my back passenger window broken and my insurance company made the mistake of telling them it was my back window. The folks from Microchip called me to let me know they are on their way. Once they got to my house and saw it was a mistake they relentlessly called around to find the right window. There was one thankfully, but they had to drive fast to puyallup from my house which is about a 40minute drive there and 40minutes back. They were so kind about that and wrapped my car window with plastic while I waited. They were extremely kind and respectful to me. As a single Black African woman you don't see that type of respect from a lot of businesses unfortunately that's the reality we live in but these guys were different , they even marked off the deductible. They are a mobile service and it's been a lonnng time since I've received this type of excellent service. These types of businesses are ones that deserve to be extremely successful. Got windshield quote over the phone got an appointment made windshield was install a couple days later I was charged on my credit card from a business I didn't recognize...... int microchip Auto is all my credit cards showed seeing this I thought it was something about computers and immediately assumed credit card fraud. Reported it via my app within 10 minutes I realized what it was called credit card company up told them it wasn't fraud. Today I get a text threatening me with court saying they had a chargeback and didn't want anybody getting in trouble with the law but they were going to proceed with court papers if I didn't get back to them by tomorrow.. the texts went on, the person texting me assumed my credit card company had the full name with Autoglass in it which it didn't I showed him a screenshot of my credit card charge and he immediately apologized but before that it got ugly I was told he was going to get charged $100 to fix this and it was my fault turns out his QuickBooks account does not put in the full name, just int microchip auto. A receipt was supposed to be texted to me that day of install..... that was on April 5th I didn't get it till today after the argument via text 4/17. He did mention by a text that this has happened to several other customers but yet he didn't fix it and accuse me of the mix-up that it was my fault read more

100% recommended. I've been having a crappy 'series of unfortunate events' kind of week, and Eugene really made by day. Had a small microchip that had spidered out slightly and he gave me a quote over the phone ($50, way lower than I expected). We had an appointment made on the day of the call, but it got pushed back later, and then to the next day due to some hiccups & traffic, but he was very apologetic and responsive throughout, and offered me a discount. Came in as promised the next day. Process was really quick, about 15 minutes. He told me there's a risk that the glass might crack further if he drilled it, but it didn't. The whole thing was clean and you can't tell that there was ever a chip/crack there at all! Kept his word on the discount too. Honest, fast, good work, good communication. Also, Microchip Auto Glass is mobile service, something I didn't know, just made it all the more convenient. read more

A major fiasco! Our weed eater flung a rock and shattered the back window of my car. I read some online reviews and called microchip Auto Glass. I have full insurance coverage, but they quoted me less than my deductible, so i didn't make a claim. A technician came out the same day. My car had the window tinted so that most of the glass was contained on the film. The tech bounced my hatch up and down violently to remove all of the glass. It took him a long time. His replacement window had the electrical plugs on the wrong side so he had to use an extension cord for the wiper motor and defrost. He said it seemed like the wrong window, but he would make it work. Ugh. He also couldn't disassemble the wiper from the motor, so i would have to have some tape over the hole on my window. After the technician completed the job as much as he could, he did a weird unveiling with a towel draped under the window of the car. The window looked good, however when he removed the towel there was a dent! Luckily my daughter had taken a picture of the cars window before he had started working on it. (She thought the shattered glass was pretty). I called Eugene who came and reviewed the work and my photos. He offered to have a mobile guy take care of the dent and he took my wiper assembly to see if he could get it apart. When he opened my hatch we noticed that it would no longer stay up on its own. The vigorous bouncing ruined a part of the shocks. Geez! The dent guy came and did a good job. I was surprised to see that it is hardly noticeable. Eugene was able to get the wiper assembly apart, but one of its support arms broke in the process. He said he would get back to me with a replacement, but I have never heard from him again. The retrofitted window leaks like a sieve, the wiper assembly cost me $500 to have replaced at Mini Cooper, the shocks haven't been fixed yet and my window still needs to be retinted, but what is the use when it is leaking anyway? If I had paid the $500 deductible to the insurance company, this would have all been fixed properly. read more

In this day and age a consumer is bombarded with requests to complete customer service/satisfaction surveys for a number of different things, services you receive and for for products you buy /use. I have never felt compelled to complete a survey let alone take the time to write a review until now. If you are ever in need of windshield replacement, Microchip auto glass is the only place you should go to. I was driving with a busted windshield for several months and decided two months ago I needed to replace it. I had gone to yelp and did a Google search on local companies who provided windshield replacement services and Microchip beat the prices of every single company I called. I appreciated the convenience of them coming to me. The gentleman arrived at my home and during the installation process he explained to me some issues with my windshield from a prior accident and explained what the company couldn't warranty. I appreciated him being upfront with me before completing the service. I paid and I was on my merry way. Fast forward two months later my trim around the driver's side of the windshield was coming off, this was not the fault of the company's work, the trim was damaged from the accident, I called the company and spoke with Eugene explained what was going and he told me he would come the following day to take a look. I gave him my info and he did exactly what he said he would do. He did the best with what he had available and showed me why the trim was not holding together. He was actually able to secure it enough where it wasn't hanging off and told me he would come tomorrow if weather permitted because it was raining and get the rest secured. I never ever ever write reviews but I have to for these guys! Long story short, my boyfriend and I just moved to a new neighborhood and were welcomed by someone who decided to break into my boyfriends 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid and steal water bottles from the trunk and an aux cord. This thief broke into our front passenger seat window. Any who, I called Microchip Auto Glass because of the reviews on here. I spoke to Eugene and asked for a quote, which was fairly cheaper than I expected, and so I decided to schedule an appt. The best part is that I didn't even need to leave my house! They came to me. He said he was available the day I called and could be at my house in an hour. They were a few minutes early which was nice and all I needed to do was hand them the keys and let them know a little about the situation and my bf's car. The front passenger door didn't open from the inside and 2 of his windows don't work. We were going to take it to a mechanic that week. Eugene said for the door all we needed to do was connect a latch, which he kindly did for us for FREE, and for the windows that don't work he said all we need to do is replace a $17 piece on the door and that he would gladly install it for us for $20. I'm sure at a mechanic shop it'd coat much more than that and Eugene even texted me a screenshot of the piece I could buy for him to install to fix the windows. THEE BEST SERVICE in Tacoma. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs their car window fixed properly and in a timely fashion. Setting up a mobile service appointment is very easy, all I had to do was text the listed number and the guy answered back immediately. He was very friendly and even answered my texts on a Sunday- the only day they don't go out on calls. I was able to make an appointment for the very next morning, and he showed up pretty close to the ETA stated. They do not charge extra for coming to your location, which is great because who wants to drive with a busted out window? The technician did a great job and it took him less than an hour to do the clean-up and complete the installation. Payment was made right there by credit card and I was on my way.
