hate to do this but... On February 4th 2022 I took my truck to get its driver side window fixed. The motor went out and wouldn't roll up or down. I took it to Safelite AutoGlass in Puyallup and had them fix it. Well let me say I will not be going back. Let's start with them not having the part after repeated conversations of needing to do my appointment in Puyallup not Seattle. The part was still in Seattle. 1.5 hour job took all day. When I did get my truck a gentlemen came up looking for my paperwork, then asked if I was the owner of the White GMC. He told me he needed to speak with me. After I paid he then informed he that they had crashed my truck. Trying to be cool I did not get mad because they said they'd handle it. Well it's been over a month my last communication was on 03/02/2022 informing that they are waiting on Puyallup to send them more info. What info?! I have the quote for the damage, I sent it over within the hour of the incident. On top of that they told me they would refund my window cost. Still have not seen that. I'm tired of patience now its time to be vocal about their terrible customer service. Hopefully Safelite Cares can escalate this issue. Because I'm tired of having this issue linger. read more

I had an at-home appointment for a chip repair that I originally cancelled because I wouldn't have been available to come to the door/outside at the time, and I assumed that was a requirement. Well, I was clearly wrong as Matthew came to the rescue anyway, managed locate my vehicle in sea of many in my apartment complex, and fixed my windshield despite the fact I that missed his phone call/messages. My windshield looks brand new and the process could not be more convenient, despite my unavailability. We had Safelite replace our windshield, after receiving a rock chip that shot all kinds of directions very quickly after it occurred. They did a wonderful job. A few months later, our automatic windshield wipers were not functioning. We called and made an appointment with the car dealership, which was scheduled about 2 months away from the date we called. When taking the car in, we were asked if the windshield had been replaced. When confirmed it had been, we were told something had not been done correctly and would have to be repaired by the company who did it. We drove the car that same day to Safelite and were surprised at their willingness to help! They checked it and repaired it right then. We didn't have to make an appointment for a later time! I went here to get my windshield replaced after seeing online that they recalibrate Subaru's eyesight system after they do an install. When i got my car back the rear view mirror fell off as I was leaving the parking lot. I went back and they attached it after a little wait. After that the next time I tried to use my washer fluid it sprayed up over the roof of my car. I examined the sprayers and saw that the cowl wasn't reinstalled correctly. They only reattached one of the pins to secure the cowl. The others were damaged or missing completely. And the cowl won't fit back under the windshield as of now. I would avoid this place. Low quality work especially for the price. They got two stars because the windshield hasn't fallen off yet. However due to the damage they did, I won't be going back here and neither should you. read more

Do. Not. Go. To. Safelite. Thought they fixed my chip repair, told me they had a warranty if the repair didn't work. I'm now being told since I went thru my insurance, and didn't pay for it out of pocket, I would have to pay the $500 deductible thru my insurance. The warranty only counts if YOU pay for it out of pocket. I was actually responsible and got the repair done, trusted this company, now I have a broken windshield and they expect me to pay for it!! I mean, yes, I didn't pay for the original chip repair, but if I didn't come in at all, it would still just my a chip, not a giant line. DO NOT COME HERE!! my husband went through usaa to get a window that was broken into & shattered fixed through this company. they sent a mobile guy a few days later to "fix" the glass & he left the plastic on the window cut up, his door wouldn't even lock & left indentation on his door from the tools he was using. we then called & they sent another guy again this time they left the door UNABLE TO OPEN whatsoever, the door doesn't lock & it baffles me that they didn't check their work before leaving ???? HORRIBLE people that they hire, they should be fired. they ended up causing more problems instead of fixing them. also, when you call in to try to speak to someone the automated system doesn't connect you at all. i had to go online call a different number & that guy was just useless. i honestly don't know how these people are still in business read more

Steering wheel adjustment was broken during windshield replacement. Windshield wiper not adjusted properly. Next day they stopped working. Just know that they are not mechanics. Anything that breaks, your on your own. read more

The process took 2 trips to complete. The first trip they weren't able to replace my windshield because the wouldn't calibrate with their aftermarket windshield. They had me come back to get my windshield replaced w an OEM model 2 weeks after. I am upset with finding that my tint on the driver's side window had been nicked. It's tiny and I didn't notice it at first but there is a small hole in my tint that's super noticeable when the sun is out. Wouldn't recommend if they're not going to ensure they won't damage other parts of the car when fixing it. read more

Very very very disappointed and wont be doing business with this Safelite again The technician came to the parking lot and just left with not doing any work done. I tried to call the store and they said the technician has gone home already. (may be that's why he left with not doing anything because he plan to rush to go home) I called the lady at the store and the first lady has no idea what to do (very very very not smart to deal with customers) the second lady was very very rude.. not very helpful with the customers at all. I don't know how this lady could keep the job with this attitude and the tone when talking to customers. The manager or the upper management should consider to retrain those two ladies to be nicer and more helpful with the customers. If you don't like what you are doing, maybe it's time to find another thing to do. read more

Made an appointment and paid for mobile glass service. Received voice notification that service man, Ulrich- no picture or credentials, was on his way snf would be arriving between 3 and 4:09pm. I called the help line at 4:40 to ask when Ulrich would be arriving. Help line lady said she had tried to call the tech 3 times but he was not answering his phone. I took the day off work and lost that money. Called the following morning and was told I could reschedule in a week which was not possible to work as I was working out of town and would have to cancel a week of work. We have used them twice now... a drop off on site appt that took hrs longer than was told. My husband missed work to get my car fixed. They were unable to properly replace the window so not only after 7hrs did the window not get fixed they had us make another appt for a mobile appt. The guy came out and within 15min asked why they had previously installed the incorrect window ( no privacy tint so it didn't match the rest ). - We left the on-site at night and just didn't notice. . Fast forward... we were told they had to "order" my window and then they would swap them out. Well here we are months later the job still isn't fixed and I still have a window that gets stuck down. Which obviously is fun in the rain / crappy weather and 4 kids in a car. Horrible service / horrible communication. We have wasted so much time / energy going through them. My windshield cracked in early August. I set up an appointment to have them come to my house and fix it, the soonest available was 3 weeks out but the convenience of it being at home was awesome. EXCEPT that the morning of the appointment I get a call from the tech guy who says that they can only do Kias at the shop so I'll have to reschedule. Soonest available? Another 3 weeks out. It is now mid September. I just spent 2 hours in their waiting room only to be told that they ordered the wrong part and I'll have to come back. When? Safelite Puyallup, WA: Less than great experience - I Chose Safelite through recommendation of my insurance company. At first the appointment process went smooth and the tech arrived on time. After the windshield was replaced the tech came and got me and said that he needed to show me something. He showed me the left front A-pillar trim and tried to explain what happened and that he tried to fix it (I noted the trim was pushed way up with dum dum adhesive). He was eluding during the conversation if would be okay to just leave it or if I wanted it fixed. I told him it needed to be fixed correctly and leaving it would not do. I overheard him on the phone with his boss and he was saying that he did not want to take a hit on warranty and would come and get a new trim kit. The tech left and after an hour he returned and attempted to replace the a-pillar trim again and gave me back the keys and left. When I went to inspect the vehicle I found the trim is still not sitting flush, and also found another trim piece above it that was also damaged. I called them back shortly after he left and made a warranty appointment for the following Saturday to have the repairs made. On the day of the warranty appointment I was contact about 30 minutes after the scheduled start of the appointment window and was told the installer had a family emergency and would not be able to make it, which I understood and was okay with. I told the person who called me the situation and which trim was damaged. She said she would get the parts ordered and I would be contacted to reschedule the installation. A week later I was contacted and asked to provide some pictures of the damaged trim, which I did, and three days later I still have not heard back. This is a frustrating experience and a demonstration of poor customer service. I attempted to call and was placed on hold for over 20 minutes waiting for Safelite to check on the status of what is going on with the local shop and ended up having to hang up. read more

Super easy to work with! Got hit with a rock on I5 that caused a chip in the windshield. Mix that in with some cold weather, boom! The crack went across the rest of my windshield. This was all during the time when Coronavirus really started to hit WA and places left and right were shutting down. I called Safelite's customer service just to see if the local office was open but happy to hear they actually come to the house for servicing! Luckily, my insurance covered the repair which is super awesome! I was scheduled less than a week out and was given a 4 hour window, 9-12pm. Joseph was my technician, came at 9:30am. Practiced social distancing and was super nice. He walked me through what the process was and he got right to work. I after scheduling my appointment online and using my Progressive insurance link provided through the Safelite site, I arrived today to get my window replaced. After approximately a half an hour of sitting in the lobby I was told that they ordered the wrong glass and they would hope to hear back from the dealer today regarding when they would receive it. Then they'd call me to find an appointment for me. I asked how that happened and was told that they had an incomplete VIN number so someone didn't know which tint to order. Ok, so if you didn't have the full VIN match the exact window a week ago when the appointment was made how hard would it have been to call me? Safelite has my Progressive info which would have provided the full VIN if they needed it. So now I'm stuck again with a missing rear window for who knows how long. Can't recommend this location based on my experience today. A very simple check could have prevented this failure. read more

Brought in my 2004 ford excursion and they did not install my front windshield correctly. It rained that night and flooded my truck and caused a short circuit in my electronics and caused my horn to go off at 2:45 am waking up everyone who lived on my street. It was extremely difficult to get a manager on the phone and when i did the warranty department hung up on me and I wasnt being rude. What was suppose to be a one day event turned into a three day long event. Maybe I was unlucky, but I will definitely be taking my business somewhere else next time who might take a little more pride in there work. read more
