Went here the ambience was real nice but they are overpriced and hide their fees until the check comes out. Before making the reservation I asked the pricing I was told $135 for 3 hours of karaoke and I had to have a food minimum of $60 and I had to make a deposit for $100 that goes toward the total. I was never told that the room itself was $100 that I was paying for she made it seem like the time and the room was included in one. Wouldn't go back it was okay if you want to take pictures for the place but as far as was it worth it it wasn't. read more

My daughter had her graduation party there and they had a blast. The location was great, the inside was beautifully decorated, and food was also good. Though most of the songs were Chinese, they were still able to find most of the songs they wanted to sing. I'm probably going back there myself sometime. read more

Before diving into the details of what all went wrong with our experience, I will start by saying a positive - the venue itself feels upscale, the rooms are spacious with their own private bathrooms, and the sound is great as well. However, opportunities for improvement are at an all time high at this place when it comes to doing business. Our group made it CRYSTAL clear that we did not want to exceed a certain time period. Within this specified time, we were constantly reminded of how much time we had left which was very much appreciated. With only a few minutes left, we suddenly learned that there was a food and beverage minimum in addition to the hourly room rate. This was never mentioned at all up front. We obliged and were going to leave the room to finish our F&B minimum outside but were told to stay in the room until we finished. We had staff come in to check on us from time to time and when we asked if we needed to leave, they said we were fine. Fast forward to when we went to check-out and it was a NIGHTMARE! We were charged the full amount for the time we spent in the room and an additional service charge - again, another charge not listed or communicated throughout the entire night. When we proceeded to clarify the charges, the staff was not very helpful or clear and eventually it felt extremely uncomfortable as there were 3 of them crowding around the front to disregard everything we were explaining to them. The icing on the cake was when they said they would give us a "discount". They then printed a new receipt with a discount applied. However, on this new receipt an additional 30 mins of time was charged - for what you may ask? Apparently, FOR THE TIME WE SPENT CLARIFYING OUR CHARGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly unbelievable and a severe disappointment. I would never recommend this place unless you are okay with handing your wallet over at the door. Poor service recovery and a lack of transparency regarding pricing all around. read more

They certainly went all out on the decor. The place looks like Vegas. You can't book online, they don't even have a website. I called and booked for two hours at $45/hr plus $68 minimum food and beverage plus an automatic 18% tip. The staff was nice and prompt but there's a really odd menu and no liquor. It was hard to spend $68 on beer. The technology is snazzy. Touch screen console and all the bells and whistles on the lighting. The karaoke library is massive but has very few western pop songs, hits, etc. the selection is mostly Asian songs. It was a struggle to find any songs in the library that our group were familiar with. I hope they'll expand the library or be more upfront about it lacking the karaoke standards. Hidden fee just throw the whole thing out. As a business owner myself, in any business industry if we decided to advertise the service we should acknowledge the clients of what they will be paying, not letting them know afterwards especially when the fee is not on the menu. The system is very specific, not too many some in english. You pretty much paying few hundred bucks for couple photo at a KTV. Don't go here if you're looking for a fun and casual time. They aren't open and transparent about what they are going to charge you. For one, you have to pay a minimum food and beverage fee of about $68 if you book any of the rooms AND there's an extra service charge added. Our group didn't even sing a single song because trying to access the system was incredibly difficult and a lot of the songs were written in Chinese, including the English ones. We repeatedly asked for help and at one point, we were told that they were still working on the system to include more languages, including English. We ended up leaving 30 minutes later because of our frustration with the system but were still forced to pay the food/beverage and service charge which totaled $84! Lots of money spent to not sing a single song. read more

I contacted Mic's Karaoke on August 10th to book for September 14th. After a phone conversation and follow up email about pricing, I chose a room and reserved it. The original email correspondence stated that I could bring a cake and outside food and drink since they had not yet had their grand opening. I asked if a deposit was needed and they said it was not. I called to make sure everything was still a go on September 4th and they confirmed that all the above info was still factual and additionally, that they now has a liquor license. On September 13th I stopped by to check out the layout of the room and where we could set food, drinks, and cake. That is when they informed me that you could no longer bring in food due to it being close to time for their grand opening and that there was basically nothing more they could do despite what I had been told via email and also that someone should have called me. Outside of our initial 7 corresponding emails, the phone call I placed September 4th, and my trip there, there had been no contact. I was told that they would supply one of their chip snacks as consolation for the omission. The day my party and i arrived, we were hit with the information that they were only accepting cash or venom and also with room booking, there was an additional $60 fee for food and drink. I had never been made aware of this any of the times I spoke to anyone. Even the day prior when I was physically there. We also never got the chip dish that the staff told us about the day prior. Upon, checking out, I was also surprised by the 18% service charge which also had never been discussed. The venue itself is beautiful! The rooms are clean and aesthetically pleasing with an upscale feel. My party loved it. The karaoke controls were also easy to operate. I feel like they REALLY dropped the ball with communication. I understand that they are a new business and haven't had a grand opening yet, but communication with existing clients is crucial. read more

The place offers fun-themed private rooms for karaoke gatherings. However the business is poorly constructed and inconvenient for non-Chinese-speaking customers. All songs are listed/registered in Chinese, which made searching extremely difficult for people who do not know Chinese (i.g American songs, such as Britney Spears' songs, were all listed in Chinese). Also, when we were ready to pay, they didn't take credit cards because they were, "new." Alternative option was to pay via Venmo which they charged extra for the "transaction fee." Not to forget, how overly priced this place is. I am from NY, and even the karaoke places in the city are not overpriced like this one. I do NOT recommend this place. They should seriously reconsider, to whom is the business for and how they can improve their customer service to sustain and develop the business. read more

It's for 8 people .later we happened to know that some friends were just around the corner, they came to talk to us and they left soon. After that we total people is.10 and over 8 people. This place reminds me a lot of the karaoke places in Taiwan. It has a super nice interior and we were lucky enough to try out the hello kitty room! The room is high tech with a call button at the front and two touch screen panels. One of the touch screen panels acts as the song book and the other controlled the room functions. I noticed that a lot of artists/bands/songs didn't show up at the beginning of our session, and at the end of our 2.5 hours they were still loading. I'm not sure if this is because we were the first ones to use the machine or if this happens every time. The screen was a little glitchy at times and didn't recognize my touch, possibly because of the screen protector. It is $35/hour for a small room and $45/hour for a big room. We asked for an hour at the beginning but they didn't tell us when our time was up and there wasn't a timer anywhere in the room. We were one of two groups there. Although they didn't give us free time, they did provide us with refreshments and a fruit tray, free of charge. They only accepted cash or check. Hopefully this will change after their grand opening. Overall, it is definitely the nicest karaoke in Atlanta, however a timer in the room would be nice. read more

Service was good, but it was expensive and the karaoke machine was so hard to work... also most everything was in Chinese. Searching for a song was confusing and for some reason you couldnt enter the whole artist name or the whole song title...? Just the first initial...(they told us this so we know we weren't crazy). System also had very limited American songs to choose from, even some of the most popular karaoke songs weren't available. We spent well over $200 and honestly feel ripped off. read more

Note this isn't really a review but just a suggestion for the owners. First I must say that walking into the place just makes me feel like I'm back at a high end karaoke place in Asia. The staffs at the front desk were very professional and polite, and the servers look properly dressed. Not to mention this place is super clean. If you have the time definitely go check this place out! However here's the suggestions part and can definitely help this place attract more customers: Change the minimum hours requirement to only one hour for both walk-ins and phone reservation. I personally think that in America people just don't go to karaoke for more than 2 hours. However, there's a 2 hours minimum requirements for walk in reservations and 3 hours for phone reservations. This makes the offer seem less intimidating and people would definitely want to go more. I really want to get more people to go to this place so it would be great if this can be implemented! P.S. This was my first Karaoke experience and I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. The design and atmosphere was great for the occasion which was a birthday party. The room was big enough for 10 ppl with sufficient seating. The food was good enough considering it's a karaoke bar but nothing spectacular. The only issue I had was with the song selection. They have a wide variety of artists to choose from but nothing current to choose from. All in all it was a good vibe and fun time. read more

I am giving it a negative review for two main reasons: 1) The food was TERRIBLE, very limited options, and extremely expensive. $4 for a small handful of Veggie Chips dumped on a paper plate. We struggled to find anything to eat, and left very hungry. 2) The woman at the front desk was unbelievably rude when we went to checkout. Shocking actually, and incredibly dishonest. They charged us an extra half hour without our knowing it, and charged us twice for the service fee. She refused to discuss or acknowledge any of it, and was flat out rude. The price therefore ended up being twice of what we expected. Before checking out, we were about to book a party for a few weeks from now (we felt like we could eat elsewhere and get beyond that), but now we will definitely look somewhere else for the whole party as I can't stand for someone to be that rude and dishonest. Let's be clear the 5 stars is for our server Tiana only! She was so great and so memorable that would be the only reason I go back. So much so she deserved a review! This place is beautiful however don't be fooled with that. The prices are crazy, the weekend minimum you will hit and some with a small bottle of patron for $194.40 (to be exact). Yes bottle because they don't do mixed drinks but yet they do children's food...I mean finger foods. We continued to purchase things with whomever came in but we should just asked for our girl, Tiana. At the end they sent our poor server in to tell us our $600 tab...because apparently they only do a single check (which was not disclosed)! We wanted to stay an hour later but they wanted to charge us double. So we just got out of there. Our server ended up talking them into splitting up our checks and she never left us until everything was taken care of. She was amazing and you can tell she has worked many years as management in customer service. The negative...for all her work we were informed that the tips we thought were going to her weren't hers instead they are split among all the servers there...truly angry at that point. We will be back to give her a "gift" instead of a tip and offer her a job at my company! read more

Our group had a great time at Mics. The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that we had a bit of a hard time with was navigating the karaoke system, which was a little finicky and had a lot of Asian characters/languages. I know this is still a new establishment and they are adding more, but it is something to keep in mind! read more

Trying to figure out how to work the system is quite confusing. It's in a foreign language. Not only that but on the weekends you have to spend a $68 minimum for food and drinks. However the menu is very pathetic. No variety whatsoever. We were visiting from Florida and it's honestly not worth the price just go to Applebee's. read more

I was highly disappointed with my birthday celebration here. This place may look nice in pictures, but everyone from the security guard to the manager himself did not make us feel welcome nor wanted. The only friendly person was our room attendant. Biggest disappointment was that this place was not worth the money at all. Along with the overpriced hourly rate, There is a $68 minimum for food and drinks on weekends. The menu is ridiculously overpriced. $48 for a FRUIT PLATE. I don't think Whole Foods even has fruit that expensive. You can't bring any liquids in there, so it was $7 for a bottle of water, or else I'd parch to death after singing my heart out. It's supposed to be a Karaoke place, but their song selection was not up to date at all. Even with all that money they take in fees and high prices, they can't seem to have toilet paper in the restroom? Sounds like a big scam to me. Wish I could get my $350 back. read more

I'm from NY, I was so happy when I found out the Mics Karaoke because there are so many Karaoke place like Mics Karaoke in NY, I have to said Mics Karaoke is a very beautiful place, after work party, business party place. so I booked a small room on Monday night, very thing was fine until middle of the time, both of microphone has no battery, and they told me it was like that, that's normally, Really? I'm going to Karaoke since 15 years old, I know good microphone sound supposed like. Anyhow....... I don't think they charge $68 per room fee is a smart business decision, and they are too serious about how many people in the room, for the small room they had, easily fit for 6-8 people in NY not 4-6 people like they keep mention about it. Of cause you not going to bring 20 people in the small room. Who does that .... If they don't have room fee on weekend or holiday, I think their business will be much much more busier then what they have now. Just my 2 cents. read more

If you've been to Mics than you know it's beautiful inside and extremely overpriced $200 for 750ml of Don, Patron, Goose. All food is frozen other than the fruit...however the ladies that serve you are amazing. I know this because I met a wonderful lady who works there and we share a common name. She goes above and beyond every time. Knowledgeable on the system EVEN HELPS WITH THE LANGUAGE BARRIER from customer to the owner. In my option she should be at the front the face that people know to come to about anything. So I came a few weeks ago and she was there and then this past week she was no where in sight. I'm not sure where y'all are hiding TIANA BUT BRING HER BACK!!! She's amazing and the reason people return to your business! This past week's experience was 2-star worthy because I've had 5-star worthy experiences here multiple times prior. More attitudes than I'm use to for sure! read more

Ok I've been here a few times. Let's break it down...Friday through Sunday are minimum nights. They tell you that when you reserve your room $68. Boom! Your welcome. I was unfortunate enough walk by someone upset about their bill of their party. She was talking to a tall beautiful server (I couldn't see her name tag without looking too hard but it started with a T). She was telling them that unless their guests order and pay upfront it all goes on the bill because there's no way of know who had what with multiple servers going in and out of the room. However, I watched her ask everyone what they had and came back with like 10 different checks and got everyone's payment. I wrote of this to say. If you are a big party why not ask how payment works? Why not be proactive. If they argued with her anymore I was going to pay the tab just so I could tip her tremendously for her trouble. They even argued about the 18% service charge and why the machine prompted them for a tip. THE SERVICE CHARGE IS NOT A TIP FOR YOUR SERVER! This was a wild sight to watch. Mics does need to come up with a better system because from the looks this server has done this too many times. She was way more confident that I wouldn't been. Well, the facility is beautiful but.... Cons: The system that controls the music selection is maddening to operate. If you do not have computer science degree, bring a friend that does (preferably they should also be able to read Chinese). The staff member that showed us to the room seemed confused by the system, as well. It is supposed to control lights and temperature but those systems do not appear to function. There was another control panel on the wall but all the labels were in Chinese and had very cryptic symbols that made no sense to us. With ten minutes of our two hour minimum left, the entire room went black. We took that as a sign and gave up on the system. The music selection was limited, especially, if you wanted anything over ten years old (3 Eagles songs, no Chicago, 1 INXS, etc). It is not a good value for a small group (date night). The room is almost twice as much per hour as other local karaoke and there is a two hour minimum. Pros: Its pretty. Very classy, themed rooms. It was immaculately clean. There were different games available in the room (but no explanations of how to play). If you like K-pop, they have you covered. There was a great selection of both current (Blackpink, BTS, Got7) and older (Super Junior, Shinee). The staff is nice and seem open to feedback. They recognize that the music system is buggy and hard to use. They said they hoped to improve it with updates. Summary: Nicest décor and atmosphere of the several local karaoke joints but you may want to wait for them to get the bugs out of the system. Too expensive for date night but would be good if you had a big group. Lots of wow factor. read more

Pro：Excellent atmosphere with multiple themes. Nice presentation on fruit plate and snacks. These are the only reasons I gave this place a 2 star rating. Con: "Hidden fees" with a capital H. It's all kinds of shady. We got a small size room for a party of six. The price for the room is 35 dollars/hour. The large size room is 45 dollars/hour. This is already pricier than other places. I'm ok with paying more for the atmosphere, however I really don't like the must-spend amount, which is kind of shady. We were told that we must spend at least $68.00 on drinks and snacks. No other karaoke places have this weird rule. Another shady thing was the 18% "service charge" added on top of our bill. I'm ok with it if that was added as tip. But when I asked whether this is tip, the manager told me this "service charge" isn't tip, it's for equipment and stuff. I find this response very shady... I thought the $35/hr room charge should already include equipment fees. If it's for equipment, why call it "service charge" on the receipt. Anyways, all of these "hidden" fees make me feel very uncomfortable. Another thing is the karaoke system is made for Chinese users. The system can be converted to English, but it doesn't work that well. If you don't read Chinese, it will be difficult to use. read more
