I was too hung over to post from Saturday night. We reserved a room about a month ago so that it could accommodate a large party or 20 or so. I was reminded every time about a minimum or an hourly plus a food minimum. Well, that seemed reasonable...however the Menu was outrageously overpriced. The entrance was regal as it had a spotlight before walking in as well as a grandioso door. The hallways were gaudy and well lit. The room made me feel like I was Ina private section of an upscale club. No one in the group was Chinese but we were able to navigate the system to find plenty of songs! We were there from 9-1am and didn't lack finding a song to sing. Our bill was over $1000!! That was far over the $300 minimum. We should've gotten drunk before going. The price tag was so inflated! Omg!! This place is amazing! Like drop dead gorgeous! You will feel like a star (I did) in these fabulous karaoke rooms! When you pull up as of now you will it has an opening soon sign. So what that means is it's not fully open- right now it is bring your own beer and pay with cash or check only. So I came for my birthday and had a fabulous time! I had a group of 8 ladies and they said we would need a large room. A large room costs $45 an hour with a two hour minimum. On top of that there is a 18% service fee. I was told this is for coming to the room for anything. The only thing we were brought is glasses. The staff was super friendly and checked on us periodically. We were so astounded by the beauty of the place we asked for a tour and they kindly obliged. You have many choices of a room- hello kitty, Ferrari rooms, we decided on a room with a background that changed and matched our yellow outfits. It was so cool!! I've lived in Japan and all I did was karaoke over there. Let me tell you this place is authentic! Yes it's all in Chinese but it's not that hard to navigate. All my friends figured out how to find their songs. They had the actual video for most our karaoke songs and not brand new songs but most of our favorites- MJ, Beyoncé, Nelly, Maroon 5, Rihanna, etc. We truly had a blast. I would have left a higher review, but the way security treated us on the way out, I will NEVER come back here. The security guard was extremely disrespectful to our entire party. It was our first time here and when we got there he acted like we should know exactly what we were doing and immediately had an attitude. When we were leaving, we stepped outside for two seconds thinking our party leader had already paid. When we realized he wasn't behind use we walked back in and security immediately kicked us out not allowing us to help pay and then promptly shut the door in our faces. Came here for my birthday and Dazia absolutely gave me the best service! She was so sweet and accommodating and helped make my experience so smooth. She was quick to deliver the food every time we ordered it, and she even helped correct an order when something was accidentally sent to us. Dazia was quick to come back to the room and clear out plates or refresh bottles when we needed it. From top to bottom the entire ambiance was great. So this place a very bad taste in my mouth. I initially went to this place for New Years with a good 8 other friends. We got there on time but we had to go back to our car for something, which was right outside in the parking lot. We told them this. When we got back, our room was given away. After a series of arguing, we was given another room. Oddly enough it was the room we originally wanted that was supposedly unavailable. Fine. NOW, let's get into the actual karaoke. First of all, this place is tailored for Asian people only. Like when I said tailored, anything English is in the "foreign" section. Cool. I can get it if you wanted to have a place for you culture, fair; BUT their foreign section is hot garbage. First off, it don't work properly. Like searching for a particular person, you gotta just stumble across them. We followed the instructions the lady gave us and I still couldn't find anyone. Secondly, if you're gonna tailor your business towards your culture outside of the respective country at least make sure you cater properly to the one that you are in because you know you're gonna get a lot of those customers. The English section had the bare minimum of famous actors and songs. And they definitely were lacking a lot of black singers and their discography. I've been to many karaoke places and this place lacks the typical songs. I'm not saying they HAVE to have everybody but the "generic" or typical songs, they do not have. Then to top it off, when you finally done going through the super tedious search program (I literally went down the line and just added anyone I recognized, just in case we wanted to sing it, because that was the only option on making this a good time and rediscovering the person was damn near impossible), they only got the music video version. Like.....come on. And it's not like this place was a normally priced karaoke place. This spot is pricey. They only serve food and drinks by the bottle and their prices are ridiculous. Also there's not that much options for food, which is guess? Overpriced. The crazy thing is, this was New Years for me and my friends. If there is any day we BLOW money, it's on this day. Like between us, we might easily blow 1k or close to it, but the whole experience was so bad, we refused to cash out. Yes this place is nice looking but that is literally it. Please do not be fooled. The MAIN attraction to this place is done very poorly. I've gone to cheaper places that not only have a better searching program, a bigger song library, but also can YouTube or aux cord if needed (and that's going the extra mile). We only came here because it was open after 12 and it looked upscale. This place is a bunch of smoke and mirrors that is only cute for a very deceiving Instagram picture. Like this was genuinely a horrible experience. All the money is poured into the looks of this place and not the quality of experience. Please save your money. Terrible place to go for karaoke. They have an extremely limited menu with light bar snacks then they only have bottle service and you can't bring outside food or drinks. The only stars they get are for service and decor. Our attendant was very nice and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. HOWEVER.... Their karaoke system was horrendous! Extremely complicated, most of it wasn't in English. Most of the American singers couldn't be found by name. 80% of the system is in Chinese, and when you did find a song you knew it wasn't the original version. It was so hard to find any thing we recognized, that they gave us an extra 30mins for the inconvenience. You can only buy full bottles, there are no cocktails. Mics Karaoke shows a lot of promise, but still has a long way to go in order to have me as a returning patron. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been addressed by the previous reviews on here. Mics Karaoke is located in the Doraville H-mart plaza above Kura the revolving Sushi Bar. The interior and exterior design resembles that of an upscale lounge/bar -- definitely dressed to impress. The business is still working on their liquor license, but they do carry beer and wine. The karaoke system is impressive; however, being a Chinese karaoke establishment, a lot of the English songs are considered foreign and is lacking. It's not a well ran establishment at all. The music options is outdated and mostly in Chinese.

First of all, there's a minimum $68 food and drink charge. Secondly, the karaoke system is impossible to use unless you can read Chinese. Which is odd, seeing as we're in Atlanta where most people speak English. These issues are dealbreakers for me, which is why I'm surprised by the number of 3 and 4 star reviews that all mention them. If you care that much about the aesthetics and you've got the money for it (and you're Chinese), Mics is probably amazing. Otherwise...Happy Karaoke is literally 4 minutes down the street. read more

Pros: This place LOOKS AMAZING. It's very comfortable, there's plenty of seating, surfaces for drinks, and the sound/lighting systems are astonishingly good. There are two wireless mics per room (on battery), and a spin the wheel drinking game. The pricing is also very good; I prefer the whole room per hour charging structure (which is less cumbersome than trying to charge every single person, especially when they're coming in and out all night). It was very clean and when we needed assistance/attendance we were well taken care of. Cons: How transparent, open, and honest a business is about their pricing and fee structure is of the UTMOST importance to me. I booked a room over two weeks in advance and was quoted a per hour price. I *think* at the end of the conversation they might have thrown in something about a service charge which I assumed was 18%, which it was. Perfectly fine! However, the DAY before our booking, one of the individuals from the establishment told me there was a $68 food/beverage minimum on *top of* our hourly room charge. A....DAY. I told them I didn't think it was very professional to add that in after the fact a DAY before the event. She said, "I guess I can waive that for you." and that was that. Then, the DAY OF the event I receive a call from the same person saying, "Actually, we'll have to do the food and beverage minimum. The owners can't waive it." I again told them that that was unfortunate and a bit shady to do that the DAY OF/DAY BEFORE our event. It makes me not trust them. The extra money wasn't the issue (we paid almost $500 for our time there and fun was had by all); it was the fact that I felt swindled. I felt that they knew we'd be majorly inconvenienced to have to move/change our venue and so they took advantage. What they didn't know (and I didn't tell them) is that this little stunt they pulled cost them a booking with my ENTIRE COMPANY as I was going to plan to use their facility for our corporate outing next year. I thought karaoke would be fun for them, but I'll look elsewhere; probably Karaoke Melody. I don't trust that if I have a budget that I can come to them and get a price that will be honored and I don't want my company to come out of pocket for little "last minute" price additions here and there. That said, if you're looking for a good karaoke spot that's clean and fun, you can come here, but just MAKE SURE you ask them about EVERY.SINGLE.COST.AND.CHARGE. because they might add on something later. read more

Mics Karooke is different from most karaoke bars in that it is very upscale. The furniture is very beautiful and the spave is very modern. The only downfall to this place is the prices..... So lemme give you the rundown. To reserve a karokoe room is $45/hour (thats not too bad) , but you cannot buy a single drink here. The only single drink you can buy is beer. So dont think you are going to order a cocktail or a glass of wine because they do not sell them by the glass. Cheapest wine bottle starts at $68 where they chare a service fee (service fee would be fine if it was the tip but its not, you have to tip on top of that). I always tip, so a $68 bottle ran me $98 and all we had was a bottle of brut. The food is not great. I hate to call them out on this becasue service was good but if the french fries werent even good, its hard to not call it out. The shrimp and chicken are panko fried which is fine but there is no seasoning on them. The egg ramen had absoltetly no flavor and the fries were overcooked (all 4 orders of them). If you are looking for a picture worthy karaoke spot, this is definitely the place. AGAIN service was not bad and the ppl were nice but be preapred to spend money like you are in a night club. The servers said they don't have a bartender so they don't offer individual drinks. Stella Rosa is $68.00; it costs less than $15.00 in Walmart. They don't have wine glasses or champagne flutes. There are cognac style glasses and small, plastic flutes. Customers are expected to pay $150-$200 for a bottle and not have standard glasses? A bottle of cranberry juice is $15.00. Really?? My friends ordered a bucket of beer and the bottles were not cold. The food offerings are limited, just fried appetizers like spring rolls, fried, chicken tenders, etc. I wouldn't go here again. read more

When I called to book a room, I was told the reservation would be from 6-8pm. When my friends showed up at 6, there was a sign informing us of the "new hours" starting at 7. When they called, a man informed them that they have opened at 7pm for the past 2 years despite the sign. Once actually in the building, we were informed that the person that takes the reservations routinely tells people to get there at 6, despite them not being open. We left and didn't get back until 7:20 and was told that our time starts once everyone got there. This was until 9:00, when we were kicked out. In addition, they only offer bottle service and the bottle prices are crazy! Why pay $68 for a $12 bottle of wine? Our scrawny Chinese server didn't mention anything about the room service fee and stupid add ons. The bill came out to $130. How did we end up paying an extra $60 dollars. Honesty is so important. This has to be detailed to be honest. The venue is done up to the Golden gods. Just visually it's a lot. Very luxury feel is what they aim for. Very 90's dru hill music video vibe. It's all rooms and we had a medium size room. No longer byob and only offer bottle service. They opened just before the pandemic so that's a change they made sure then. Food actually isn't so bad but the liter of water was like 7 dollars. The American songs you might want are their just hard to find as it's done what I assumed (so sorry if incorrect) Japanese styling. So out American artist are in foreign and foreign bands. It's select songs in cases. Some songs you can tell just were downloaded off line cause it was speed up or off key to not get in legal trouble. But it's nice to have with the artist singing as an option. Sometimes the artist isn't recognized and you have to look up the song. Which in all means knowing what you want to play up front. I ended up picking tons of songs to que for my group and it organized the list automatically for us which was pretty decent. I've mic needed a charge and the lights that were supposed to follow the music only did so well. I'm the end even with respect that it wasn't built for American karaoke (saying that to be more clear I don't care and it's not why the score was effected) I still barely happy with the money spent vs the experience. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Please read the real reviews and not the bots! The food was microwaved, the 18% service charge was added and never told to us, the music selection was HORRIBLE! When making the reservation, I was told to just bring myself for a good time. Surely that did not happen. The actual karaoke system failed a number of times which required us to call the server. He proceeded to tell us that the system needed to be updated. After about an hour and a half, the system still did not work and the server proceeded to blame it on the software. In the hour and a half we used our phones (Spotify karaoke) to maintain a somewhat good time for a birthday party. Some are asking, "well why didn't you leave?" Well drove an hour from Atlanta and to top it off we were from out of state trying to have a good time. But that's not the end of it. To top it off, the food was trash! Fries and wings were re-heated in the microwave after telling them it was cold TWICE! After we disappointedly left the room, I told the server(and owner who ran out quickly) that the service and system was bad. He proceeded to say, "it is what it is" and a 10% discount could be given. I love this karaoke place ! I love how they have all different themes in each rooms . NON- SMOKING is a plus . The room is high-tech with a call button at the front and two touch screen panels . One of the touch screen panels acts as the song book and the other controlled the room functions. It's a $35 /hour for a small room and a $45/hour for a big room with a 2 hour minimum commitment .It's definitely one of the nicest karaoke in Atlanta and I love it that it's non-smoking like most of the karaoke place in Atlanta . But I think need more improvements but good enough to get started. Need more features which are controllable with anyone not only for the Chinese customers cause mostly the buttons in Chinese character and if I don't have my Chinese friends with me I don't know what button to press it's very confusing .
