Ate here yesterday for an early Mother's day. Mom picked this place. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict (English muffin, Canadian bacon, poached egg) plus the "Belgian" waffle as a side. For one, the waffle was not a "Belgian Waffle". Anyone who has ever eaten an actual Belgian waffle could tell at first taste, this was generic waffle batter poured into a mold. I grew up eating Belgian waffles (in the US, so I'm not expecting anything crazy, just truthful food, don't lie). Also had their Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were SOLID. What the hell. Disgusting. The entire draw of Eggs Benedict is cutting into the poached eggs and the yolk running over everything. This sadly did not happen here. Crumbly yolks fell off my English muffin pieces. The weirdly semi-solid hollandaise sauce made it taste just ok. Second complaint. The hollandaise sauce! Omg, when my Eggs Benedict came out the Hollandaise sauce on top of it was a big first red flag that the entire meal was bad. It was semi-solid. The outside was solid until I poked it. Also the lemon flavor was very extreme. Combine that with over-hard poached eggs and you get a very gross meal. Both of my parents ordered omelettes. They both reported that the omelettes were extremely dry, which lines up with my meal. LEARN TO COOK EGGS PROPERLY. It's not that hard! I'm a cook myself and eating here was very distressing, eggs are some of the easiest foods to cook, if you cant even get that right then why are you in this business??? read more

Yummmmmmm! I ordered the healthy breakfast (I think that's what it's called) and it was delicious! They have apple butter! APPLE. BUTTER! It's the most amazing fall treat! Throw that on their delicious wheat toast and you will have a great morning! The portions sizes are incredible! The food is good and the service is fast. First time here. When I walked in I wasn't expecting very much for a shopping center cafe. Place looked nice. Menu has many options available that are not run of the mill cafe food. I hade two egg breakfast. Was good. Eggs cooked perfectly and sausage was good as well. I don't get places using frozen potatoes / fries when they are so easy to make fresh. The potatoes not so good frozen ones. Coffee was good and they have flavored creamers on the tables. A plus is they have sourdough toast. I like that. The server was very polite and friendly. Another customer had a breakfast sandwich that looks really good. Ps clean up at the clutter and crap in the bathroom. I came for the pie,but the one I was seeking (cloud nine)was not available due to how poorly it travels, so I required another form of sustenance. I had breakfast! I ordered the farmers breakfast which was nothing to write home about. There was no flavor... anywhere! The salt & pepper shakers were damn near empty. The servers and owners were very hospitable, but I won't be coming back. I know some people eat food to get full, but I eat food to not only get full, but to also enjoy the flavors and textures. I am always on the lookout for breakfast spots for when I visit DFW. I had the California omelet which had spinach and tomato. They need to add a bit of garlic and salt! Nothing too special about this place. I wanted to give it a try this morning even though my friend had warned me it was mediocre. And indeed it was. I ordered the French combo (French toast, 2 eggs, and choice of 3 bacon or sausage links), I went with the sausage links. The eggs were probably the best thing on the plate, which isn't saying much because I can easily make better eggs at home. The sausage links were WAY salty, and the French toast (which I was most excited for) was a sore disappointment. They should've used a thicker bread. By using just regular bread, it shrank down when cooking and thus made it tough in some areas to eat. The syrup was also off, wasn't sweet and had a weird aftertaste. If I was just rating this place on food alone, it is definitely a 1. However, the service was great!! They instantly greeted me when I came in, and had a smile on their face throughout the whole time I was there. Besides the food, they made it a positive experience for me. Will I come back? Probably not. For the amount of money you would spend here, you can get better quality food at a Cracker Barrel or even iHop. read more

Family owned , waitress was nice . I gave 3 stars due to no coffee refill , so I paid $1.99 for one cup of coffee. No one checked on me after I received my meal. Everyone was nice. They are open early and are primarily a breakfast place. Very good breakfast but lunch is just average since they have no fresh rolls or cornbread like Mama's Daughters does. They need to streamline the menu so the cooks do not get so overloaded and add yeast rills, cornbread and chicken and dressing. read more

I need half a star here. 3 1/2 Stars. Quaint little neighborhood spot. We stopped in for breakfast this morning. It was quiet, which was nice for a change. The crammed packed chain places are always so loud and we wanted to visit with our out of town guest. I had an egg over medium, Canadian bacon, rye toast and hash browns. It hit the spot. My 13 yr old (growing) nephew had 2 eggs, chicken Apple sausage and 2 pancakes, he gave it a thumbs up. My Mom had 2 eggs, bacon and fruit, she said it was good as well. No complaints. I've been going here for a long time, since they opened. They have changed hands often, but food and service has remained the same and great. However, the current regime is lacking in service and food quality. The last three times getting a 2nd cup of coffee has been an effort,. Today The waiter asked how my food was, I told him that my uneaten eggs were rubbery and had a weird texture, he said he was sorry. Wasn't looking for an apology, you either discount or replace the bad items. They apparently add something to the eggs and over did it. The gravy was served room temperature and were flavorless. We ended up here randomly because another local breakfast spot we were intending to go to had a 55 minute wait for a table for two. I'm so glad they were so busy, because this place is fantastic! Much shorter wait, low noise level inside. We ordered french toast and the chicken waffle, plus turkey bacon. Everything was delicious, servers were very helpful and attentive. They even managed a request to make the turkey bacon extra crispy. Perfect! I'm so sad this is four hours from my house, because I'd be coming back all the time. read more

We were seated right away, and socially distanced. We were immediately offered drinks, and they were brought quickly. The cafe is very clean, and they were constantly wiping down the tables. The food came in a timely manner and everything we ordered was good- the only negative I have is the meals were all lukewarm. There were five of us, so that may have been why but the country gravy was congealing, and so that was not appealing to me. This place is great. I take my son there all the time for breakfast. Food is delicious. We always get the 2x2x2 meal but add more eggs to it. That's what I like. You can always make changes to their menu options. The pancakes are my son's favorite. Pretty tasty. Not "Old West Cafe" level tasty but they're pretty darn close. The cafe is always clean and sanitary. Waiters are always on top of things and friendly. The owners remember their customers so visits there are always relaxed. Atmosphere is calm and quiet. This place was a disappointment. Coffee was weak like it was watered down. Omelettes were bland and weren't actually omelettes, they were scrambles. Also, the bacon was soggy. The waitress was nice and service was OK except they charged us for a substitution even though we told the waitress we did not want it if we are going to be charged. The solution was to take $2 off the bill when they charged us $8. The staff did not care that we had a bad experience and it seems like they are used to the complaints. read more

I arrived for a quick lunch while running some errands, and ended up being pleasantly surprised. It's a quaint little place, and there was only one other patron inside (which worried me). I ordered a grilled chicken pesto sandwich with a salad. The accompanying salad was ginormous, a very substantial size for what I thought would be a tiny side salad. The sandwich itself was tasty, though I felt any attempt at a healthful experience was negated by the amount of butter soaked into the toast... Of course, this tastes great, but I was a tad put off having tried to go with a slightly health-conscious decision. High quality food with great flavor. A nice gem for Euless. We've had Togo from here many times and always been happy. Today we finally dined in and experienced the service. My wife loves their vanilla crepes combo. I get the garden omelette. We both agree they have the fluffiest eggs and everything always tastes super fresh. Very good bacon and crispy potatoes. Today I found out about their house salsa and it was terrific and would be at home at a top notch Mexican venue. Kids had chocolate chip pancakes and were happy. They were very busy and a little understaffed, but we felt they still performed quite well. Our waitress and the manager ( or owner we assumed) were genuinely friendly and took great care of us. Having seen them in action while picking up Togo I know they are light on staff but with so many restaurants in town I bet that's hard to overcome. That said I wouldn't say our service was slow and the food wasn't either. Bottom line for us is food quality and anything we've tried was on point. They are packed on weekend mornings but I hope that means they are having success and stick around. That way we when we are lazy we get to enjoy their great breakfast. read more

I usually order tuscan omelet with the best hash browns and my boyfriend gets the meat lovers omelet and their pancakes are the best. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, do NOT order a burger. Heard the kids that work there cussing and loudly talking about how they did not want to work there. And you could tell by the service that they didn't care one bit. We waited for our food for 30 minutes. Had to get our own syrup and condiments because every single person who worked there vanished into thin air. Of course, when the kid FINALLY came over to give us our checks, they were at the front counter loudly talking about how "nobody knows how to tip"... Food 4 stars... Service..2 stars... Mid Citites Cafe is close to a major highway and sits in a strip mall. It was a little busy when we got there but we managed to sit right away. The first thing I noticed was a very heavy "fried food" smell. This is normally ok, but it was heavier than I'm accustomed to. Another observation; I noticed 4 tables in a row next to us were just sitting there, and not eating. Which got me worried about the turn around time of our order. When our food came before one of those tables, one older female customer voiced her displeasure that we ate before them. Our server came over about 10 minutes after we sat, and took our drink orders. The arrival of the drinks didn't take too long, she then took our order. During the wait for the food, I needed refill , however she didn't come back until the food came (which was maybe 20-25 mins). Then while eating I needed a refill. She never came back. Then when we were done, it took so long to get the check I actually had to walk up to the register because I thought maybe I made a mistake and we're supposed to pay up there. That was not the case. She just never brought it. A lady at the register (who I assume was the owner) asked me "how was everything...not good...ohhhh" (then began to look at her feet)....So even someone in charge is aware of this place's short-comings. They seem to be very short on help, and really need to get that taken care of. I had the steak and eggs. Steak was cooked to order and was prepared correctly. My wife ordered the Crepes (with no cream filling, just fruit) and my wife did seem to enjoy it. Our kids had chocolate chip pancakes and there was no complaints there. read more

My go to for a relaxing Saturday morning. Order breakfast at 7am and have it at my door 30 minutes later with Uber Eats. Their chicken fried steak and eggs is one of the better breakfast plates in the area. My first time to eat here. Breakfast was good: standard bacon, eggs, pancake and omelette... Had fruit cup that tasted sour so they gave me a refund. Great coffee (had to wait/ask for refill 3 times) and the cinnamon roll pancake was excellent. I'll go back but will try other places. read more
