Well, I was pleasantly surprised! A friend of mine recommended this buffet, and we went for lunch. It is an enormous restaurant with tons of seating, so no reservations are necessary outside of holidays. The service is very fast. Staff comes by to clear plates, provide drinks, bring utensils, etc. They are constantly moving and work really hard Ambience is nothing special. It kind of looks like a boring diner inside. It looked clean to me and very spacious. Now, for the food. It was great. They have several sections set up, including Asian cuisine like sushi, dumplings, Chinese dishes, etc. They also have some Italian options, kid friendly options, soups, and a hibachi grill area. Everything I tasted, was good to great. I really liked the dim sum and the dumplings, broccoli chicken, and chicken skewers. There is something for everyone. Also they have dessert. The bathroom are disgusting, looks they never clean them tissue with feces all over the place. I saw flys everywhere as well, I even saw one land on the food as I was serving myself. They do not properly clean their shrimps, the shells and veins still on it. Went last night April 11, 2026 with my wife, and family. Food was plentiful but not appealing to me. We got seated right away in a very congested seating area. The lady took our drinks of 5 waters and 1 Coke or Pepsi, whatever they sell. We ate our meals and the waitress was quick to pick up our empty plates. Then the surprising bill came. Six adult meals for 4 adults, 1 -11 year old and one 2 year old. Also included 6 drinks which we only received 5 (4 waters and 1 soda). As we received the bill regarding the 6 adults and charged for water we were appalled that you now pay for a glass of water, even the one you don't get. The lady taking care of our plates came over to see if we had questions. We first asked about 6 adults, when we told her the ages, she asked my granddaughter "how old are you" my granddaughter said 2 and held up 2 fingers. Then we questioned the 6 drinks as we only received 4 waters and one soda. My son's wife said that her daughter would drink her water. The woman then said you were overcharged let's go to the counter to straighten out the bill. As my wife followed her to pay the lady that sat us and took our orders glared at my wife. She then came to our table to count 5 cups not 6. We straightened out the bill which I was still upset about paying for water, and noticed they recommended a 15 - 18 % tip for picking up dirty plates? I can't believe how that showed us total mistrust in the age of my granddaughter as well as the number of drinks we received and for the record no one ordered a refill. I was very angry that a business would mistrust their customers that much. I reluctantly left a $10.00 cash tip and will never return there again and advise all to look at your bill before you proceed to check out. read more

Haven't been to a buffet in a while and thought I'd try this place. Pretty good lo mein and egg drop soup. Tried the pork dumplings and chicken nuggets and was pleasantly surprised. Waitstaff was very attentive and quick to assist. A bit pricey from what I last remembered but maybe it's inflation. I love me some Chinese food... I have been coming here for years and I think this is a good spot. The food is good. It seems to always be busy when I come so they are always refilling the food which I think in my opinion is a good thing. I think they have a great selection of foods. I always try to go before 3pm because it's cheaper. I believe it's about $8 bucks.. then after lunch it's about $13 bucks. The bald guy who's always in the front as you walk in is always nice to me and my family and chats with us for a bit before we sit down. The staff is alright. They do their job. The lady who refills the food does not care if you're in the way lol; she'll make sure you know to get the hell out. Definitely better than other Chinese restaurants I have been to. read more

This Buffet used to be fantastic, but now have completely done a 180. They're food almost put me in the hospital! I don't know if they're the same owners, but they have run this once mighty Buffet to the ground. Best service, ambiance along with quality foid. Not your typical Asian buffet. This restaurant is probably the best restaurant that I have ever seen. The food stays hot and fresh and you don't have to wait for them to fill it, it actually has the proper flavors too. The staff will keep your table cleared and your drinks full. They act like they should one team not just one way just hustling to get a tab. It's all about one team and it works great. This was my first visit. They have one area with American comfort foods. There was turkey, corned beef and cabbage, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some other things. Then there was a salad bar / Mongolian grill . And then they had to be four or five hot bars with Asian food and a dessert bar and a sushi bar. Extremely reasonable as well. Anytime I'm in the area. I will be stopping by again. A big busy boofay I like boofays because you don't have to wait and depend on a server fawning over you and because of the wide selection of food available. You don't have to choose, you can take a little, or perhaps a lot, of everything. Of course the food quality frequent declines in boofays compared to fancier, slower and more expensive restaurants but not necessarily by a whole lot. Mid Hudson boofay is a huge place with an impressive number of different items. All the usual things expected in a place like this but with some nice seafood added. Lots of different shrimp, mussels, fish and even crab legs that were quite fresh and tasty. The desserts were kind of boring and ordinary but who has room for dessert with all the seafood around. The decor was typical Chinese American boofay and the service was impersonal but quick and efficient. You don't even notice the servers sweeping in to take your dishes, which is how it should be in a boofay. Even though this is a large place I was shocked at how packed it was. By the time we left at around 4:30, the line was out the door and people were everywhere. Never seen a boofay so crowded. I reckon the people in Kingston know a really good boofay when they see one. read more

Very clean and very quick service. This buffet unlike many other actually taste fresh. Food is constantly rotated and hot. Severs are quick to the table to replenish drinks, napkins etc. lunch and dinner prices are VERY reasonable as well. The deserts are also good. The ice cream does have the frozen yogurt taste the you would consider cheap at some times and other times it taste like true ice cream so I'm not sure what that's about though. Very friendly management and many separate dining areas for children and larger parties. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for your normal American/Chinese buffet. read more

We met here at 3pm on a Wednesday and I was worried about stale food, but that was definitely not the case. Lots of people and lots of turnover in the food. Price is great. Kids are super cheap.
