Since this is the Chinese restaurant nearest my house, it gets most (but not all) of my Chinese takeout business. I especially like the lunch specials which provide a lot of food for the money. Happy that they are open again for takeout after a brief closure for the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are walk-in, take-out, cash customers every month or two. We're quite satisfied with the…read morereasonably-priced food and think it rates 4+ for take-out. Our order is always ready on time. About that: if you've phoned in your order, try to arrive at the when-promised time, as the waiting space is rather drab. We also recommend asking for an itemized sales slip to make sure every item paid for is included. At each of our last two visits we were disappointed, once home, to find the "extra sauce" item absent--but charged for. We'll chalk them up to honest mistakes, but the owners should guard against risking an even worse appearance. We're sorry to give Kai's only a 3+ for now, but it's with a promise to revise upward after a few problem-free visits to come.

It appears that they do a lot of takeout, as there were only three tables inside the restaurant. It's obviously a family run place, because of one of the children was playing with their toys off in a corner of the kitchen. I decided to go for the shrimp toast, appetizer, and the lunch, special of shrimp and lobster sauce with vegetable fried rice, and wonton soup. The food came quick, and it was absolutely amazing. The shrimp toast was crunchy, and had a lot of filling in it. You could definitely taste the shrimp. There were six of them in the appetizer, which was very generous for the price. I was going to take a few home with me, but I couldn't stop eating them. I finished off the whole appetizer. I loved the shrimp in lobster sauce. At first, I was confused, because it was like an egg drop soup with shrimp in it. I thought it was going to be a Brown sauce. Then I realized, that's what lobster sauce is I was confusing lobster sauce with oyster sauce. The soup was creamy, rich, and delicious. There were "only" four shrimp in the bowl. I say "only" because those shrimp were huge! They were tender and delicious, and a very generous portion. The fried rice had a good flavor to it as well the rice was not under or overdone, and they were generous with the veggies.. I ended up taking home some of my shrimp main dish, and all of my wonton soup. The wonton soup reheated, wonderfully, the broth was delicious, and the wontons were tender. With a large amount of delicious filling. The price for everything was absolutely reasonable. I would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

I haven't hit an All You Can Eat buffet since I worked in Castle Hill back in the day, when the…read moreThrogs Neck AYCE spot was my weekly guilty pleasure. Fast forward to now, I finally dipped back in. This time, at Super Bowl. Hubs and I didn't leave disappointed. First off, the seating here is actually comfortable. You can breathe, spread out and actually enjoy the meal. Bonus points: if you're not feeling the buffet marathon, they have an à la carte menu. But their buffet is the real showstopper: They don't skimp on meats and seafood. Plenty of options, cooked up different ways and the seafood is fresh. Salads, Rice & Veg: Yeah, they've got the "healthy section"- but honestly, as much I like salad, I wasn't here for lettuce. There's even a Hot Pot Station that looked fun. I hope they have veg broth. Maybe next time? The bottom line is this- Super Bowl nails its clean, has a good spread, the prices are solid and service is on point. Plates are cleared fast, drinks topped up without that awkward flagging someone down. And, you walk out full and satisfied. This is definitely a level up from the run-of-the-mill AYCEs and nice to see Super B. up in these neck of the woods.

The very first time we saw the sign, we thought this place was a sports bar. What a surprise,…read morewhen we drove up, and found out that it was Chinese food, and darn good Chinese food at that. We've been ordering from here for years, and I can't believe that I've never done a review! We have never had a bad item off their large menu yet. The place is clean, I like the atmosphere, and everybody is friendly. One thing that we have not done from here, is the hot pot, (the "Super Bowl" in the name,) where you cook your own food, tableside, In a bowl of hot broth that they provide you. I've done that before at other restaurants, and it is a lot of fun. I hear that it is extremely good, here. . They do delivery through most of the delivery platforms, but you are going to pay a higher amount than if you ordered from them directly. And not only the delivery fee, either. The menu prices are higher if you go through one of the delivery platforms. If you are going to be ordering food to pick up, the best way to do it is directly through their webpage. That way you don't have to pay a premium... Tonight, I ordered from their large "all day special" menu. An egg roll, your choice of soup, your choice of rice, and your choice of entrée from their large list, all for only $14.95, plus tax. That's an amazing price! Tonight, I ordered the chicken curry with egg drop soup and fried rice. It's amazing that I got so much food for such a small price. The eggroll was large and delicious, and the soup was excellent. Not too oily, not too greasy. The rice was just the right texture, and the chicken curry was amazing! The chicken was tender, and the veggies were not over or underdone. Also, I could definitely taste the curry. It was just a little bit spicy, but not too much. Just enough that I knew the spice was there. After the egg roll and the soup, I barely made it halfway through my main course. The rest ended up as my midnight snack. We will continue to order from here. Thank you! UPDATE: The food was so good last night, I ordered from the "special menu again, for the next two nights in a row. The first night, .I had the shrimp and veggies with brown rice, and wonton soup. There was a one dollar "upcharge" for the wonton soup, but that was no big deal at all, because it was chock full of large tender wontons, with a delicious filling. There was a good amount of decent sized. Tender, shrimp, and again, the veggies were done just right. The rice was good as usual. I didn't mention it last night, but there was a tiny taste of cinnamon to the eggroll. I didn't mind it at all, because that comes from the "five spice" that they use. The five spice really adds to the flavor. Once again, half of the meal is going to be my midnight snack. The second night, pretty much the exact same excellent experience. I had the wonton soup again, and this time I had the "Thailand chicken" with fried rice. I was worried about the name, but there was not a "spicy" symbol next to it on the menu, so I asked. She said it was not spicy. Once again, the chicken and veggies were excellent. It had a very good sauce. I can't really describe it, because I can't recognize the flavors, but it was very good. As for spice? Again, there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I knewthat it was there. As is a bad habit of mine,, I tore into it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. Thanks again for the great food!!

I took loads of photos. The place has been around for half a century or more and it has that old school vibe which I can appreciate. Its clean and service was lovely. The woman who served us was warm and friendly. The food was just not hitting it. I normally wouldn't want to bash a local mom and pop spot but since they got a James beard award??? I had to write this review. We ordered the pork dumplings and they were so thick and doughy. 75% dough and 25% pork filling. That's a bad ratio. I had to take off more the an half of the dough. The pork filling was tasty, like most traditional dumplings. We also ordered shrimp egg rolls. It came two per order. It was filled with diced celery???? 95% celery and a few morsels of tiny baby shrimp. No cabbage or any other vegetables. I was surprised it was heavy on celery? Not the most appetizing to say the least. Just call it celery roll. We also ordered the chicken and broccoli. The chicken was tender but the flavors were very different. It was a heavy sesame oil flavor, that's all I could taste. Disappointing big time. We also ordered the triple delight? Not delightful, more like scary! Beef, chicken, shrimp and veggies in heavy brown sauce. The plate came out and it was all so dark swimming in dark brown sludge. So not appealing whatsoever. You could barely make out the veggies, everything was drowned in the dark brown thick sauce. Only four pieces of small shrimp. The beef was tough not tender and had a strange taste. Not good. Couldn't eat it. The restaurant is darkly lit so it was hard to tell what was chicken and what was beef. The flavor wasn't good. Better than the other dishes but that not saying much. I would not recommend. That's is for sure. We also got the tofu and broccoli in hot garlic. It tasted very unusual. My husband ate it since he's a vegetarian but I cannot make out any of the flavors in this dish. How in the world did they get any type of award is beyond me? I will not be returning to this establishment ever again. How has this business stayed around for this many years boggles my mind. Truly the worst Chinese food I have ever consumed. I wish I could erase this memory from my mind. I really wish we never stepped foot in this establishment and could have saved our $$ for a better meal. Worst meal by far. Huge disappointment.

It is one of the only restaurants open on a Sunday evening, and we decided to give it a try. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. It was pretty full, and a nice interior. Clearly an old house. We ordered drinks, vegetable pad Thai, and vegetables with ginger and shiitake. The ginger/shiitake dish had a great sauce, but they look like there was only one shiitake mushroom all cut up, and not a lot of vegetables. The pad Thai was tasty, but nothing special. They don't seem to have the dishes with all of the vinegar, chill oils, etc. We did request it and got three little bowls of seasonings. We definitely used them all.
