Cold Sesame Noodles (waste of money)
Amanda L.

Best cashew chicken I've ever had! The sauce had a great flavor and was cooked perfectly! The portion sizes here are huge, even for the lunch specials. My husband said the crab Rangoon was also the best he's ever had. There is no denying they make great food if you order the right dish. The reason for 4 stars is because I asked for extra cashews and paid an additional $1 for them but there was literally only a handful of cashews throughout my meal so that was disappointing and the cold sesame noodles I ordered were unflavored, sticky and grainy. It's very difficult to find good cold sesame noodles though so can't really hold this against them. Overall we would definitely order from them again!

Every visit has been consistently outstanding. The food is simply exceptional. We've tried many dishes over the years, and honestly, everything on the menu has been delicious. You can truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every plate. The service is equally impressive--friendly, professional, and always attentive, making every meal feel special. They don't offer a kids' menu, but that has never been an issue for us because our daughter has a very French palate and happily enjoys the regular menu. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation for the weekend, as it tends to fill up quickly. Also, keep in mind that they're closed on **Wednesdays and Sundays**. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable French dining experience, Le Canard Enchaîné never disappoints. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

The young lady (hostess) who we encountered for seating was the only who rubbed me the wrong way..no smiles, all business.."do u have a reservation " NO, & she just wasnt on her game I guess(Olivia?) But in comes Dan, our server, what a gem! Our food was great, my friend really enjoys his short ribs cavatelli, my husband ordered the half jerk chicken & didnt even leave a crumb! I had the maple glazed Salmon, and it delivered mouth watering goodness with just enough sweetness from the maple but not overpowering. Way to go guys, now I know to make this a staple in my after work rounds.

They have a lot of seating and a good menu price range. My favorite thing about the menu is that they have duck fat fries! If you never had your French fries fried in duck fat then you are missing out!!! Now I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. I highly raved about this place but the last time I came it was such a disappointment. Our waitress though very friendly was not very attentive. We couldn't find her when we needed things and when we asked for things she didn't bring them. Now I'm sure she was busy and we never complained but that mixed with the fact that our food was just alright made me drop it a few stars. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't the best, including the glassware. Now to be fair every other time I have come the food was fantastic. I typically always get the general tso fried chicken sandwich and I love it. So maybe it was an off day we all have those. I will go back again and see if they redeem themselves! Also I just want to make mention the sandwiches do not come with duck fat fries you have to specifically ask for them to be the duck fat ones.

We chose this because we thought they had a ton of holiday decor, however was mistaken; it's just an old school bar that serves Italian food. Service was very attentive and friendly. In general, everyone in there was chill and happy which is always a good sign. Ordered a few negronis which were all well made. We got the eggplant rollatini, fried calamari and house salad to start. They really don't skimp on the portions. Calamari included tentacles which I didn't expect from this kind of place; it was fresh and pretty much as good as it gets, especially upstate. Eggplant rollatini was well made and showcased their really good sauce. House salad is loaded up with cheese (parmigiana and gorgonzola) however I mean that in the best way; it eats like a Caesar, and it's a massive portion. Got the penne ala vodka with chicken cutlet for my main although I was tempted by the bolognese special. It was damned good. Vodka sauce was fantastic, and chicken cutlet was plentiful and on the well done side. I think I got 3 meals out of this and I'm not a small dude. Great meal all around and the perfect cap to our day. I don't make it to Kingston much however I would come here whenever nearby. Vibe is great and the food is better. Never a bad thing to have another reliable Italian place around!

If I was aware there was a fee, I would just have ordered it and packed it up myself.‍

BUT somehow, we struck gold and found Yasuda--worth every second of the search. We got there around 8:45 (no, timing was not intentional, no regrets ), and from the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect. Amazing atmosphere, super welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly feels like a "why haven't I been here before?" spot. The service? 10/10. Everyone--from the owner/the sushi chef--was genuinely personable, attentive, and made us feel taken care of the entire night. The waiter Salmon, was amazing 10/10. Not trying to be funny not sure if he spells it that way but he was amazing!! And the food... WOW. The Toro? Unreal. Melt-in-your-mouth, life-questioning levels of good. Every single dish we ordered was a 10/10, but the Toro especially stood out--fresh, flavorful, and done perfectly. As if that wasn't enough, they surprised us with a beautiful complimentary gift set at the end, which just sealed the deal. Whether you're planning a dinner with your best friend or trying to impress someone special, Yasuda is IT. Kingston after 9pm might be a struggle...no raw bar however!!!!! but this place makes the search 100% worth it.

Unfortunately, the pictures+reviews on Yelp are disappointing enough that I almost talked us out of coming here. Hubs still wanted to try it. We were pleasantly surprised. The Bowery D has two flrs. You can sit downstairs- which is used for mostly for events- but we were told most people head upstairs and that's what we did. The main dining rm is carpeted, spacious and has a decent-sized bar. The first thing we noticed was the nice seafood smell in the air. So why come here? Raw oysters for one. Also because hubs has had Lobster Newburgh on his mind lately and the closest thing these folks offer is a mixed seafood Newburgh. He went for it. Result? He liked it. My Swai fish was tasty, though I was expecting something a bit flashier than sweet potato fries. My Jamboozle cocktail didn't have any oomph so I stuck to water after that. Service was great and the food was good. A nice surprise for a spot that doesn't totally shine on Yelp.

It's a huge space with a lot of room for regular and hibachi tables, with modern decor. Service is very friendly and consistent which is not always the case with these kinds of places. They had an issue with one of the vents while we were here, however they quickly fixed it. Just needed to leave the back door open for a bit. Drinks were on the sugary side which is typical; my mai thai was good however I couldn't do 2. Soup and salad were good. Chef was one of the better hibachi chefs I've gotten. Wish they flipped shrimp instead of veggies for an appetizer, but hey, recession. More importantly than the presentation and show (which was good), they did a really good job with the food. Steak was perfectly cool if a bit over seasoned. Scallops were seared better than I've had at a lot of fancier restaurants. Massive portions too when the veggies, noodles and rice were factored in too. Of course my food got switched at home, and I got a fuckton of chicken instead of my steak. I mourned this, however will survive to return again.
