This Chinese Take Out place used to be good, but no longer. We ordered Chicken and Broccoli with Garlic Sauce and it tasted like something you might get at a diner. Chinese food must have fresh tasting, crisp broccoli. The broccoli had no snap to it. It tasted like it may have come out of the freezer. The garlic sauce had very little taste. read more

Best cashew chicken I've ever had! The sauce had a great flavor and was cooked perfectly! The portion sizes here are huge, even for the lunch specials. My husband said the crab Rangoon was also the best he's ever had. There is no denying they make great food if you order the right dish. The reason for 4 stars is because I asked for extra cashews and paid an additional $1 for them but there was literally only a handful of cashews throughout my meal so that was disappointing and the cold sesame noodles I ordered were unflavored, sticky and grainy. It's very difficult to find good cold sesame noodles though so can't really hold this against them. Overall we would definitely order from them again! read more

I live in Saugerties and have tried food from so many Chinese restaurants within a reasonable driving distance (30 min.). Honestly, Wing Shui makes the best Chinese food I have ever tried ever--everything is well-cooked and very quickly put together for pick-ups. I only get delivery or takeout here. The deliveries aren't the fastest, but they'll give an honest wait time. If it's going to take an hour, they'll tell you. I'm always happy with my meal. The food is reasonable priced and portions are large. The kitchen is visible and you can watch it prepared. One of the few uptown restaurants that is open all the time, for instance they are open. When snow storms close the rest of the city or holidays. The dough on the wontons is a little too thick. Every Christmas Eve since I can remember my family has gotten Chinese food from Wing Shui. Of course, Chinese food is not a once a year thing in the D. household either, no indeed. In fact, we are what you might call delivery and take-out whores with pizza and Chinese being the two automatic suggestions. For pizza we always go to Savona's and for Chinese we always come here. Why do we not further extend our palattes past North Front Street? The Service is AWESOME. The people are damned friendly and great people go a long way in the House of D. You could have the best food in town but if the people who work for you suck we're not coming back. Food = Consistently Delicious. Back in my formidable carnivorous days, I used to love everything from this place. From sesame chicken to spare ribs to hot and sour soup to chicken lo mein, I was a one woman eating machine, ready to devouor whatever wonderful foods were placed in front of me. Now of course, I'm more herbivore than anything... this doesn't stop me from ordering everything under the vegetable section that I can. SO GOOD. Prices are affordable. Lately (as in the past 10 years) I've been noticing that new Chinese places are cropping up all over Kingston - China Rose to Go comes to mind. Prices here and at older establishments around town (i.e. Engs) are not nearly as fair as the ones you will find at Wing Shui... nor is the food as good. read more

Wing Shui is the Chinese take-out that I grew up and which I compare all others too. I have eaten at all of the Chinese restaurants in Kingston and none of them compare to Wing Shui in my opinion. The food is always spectacular. My favorites are the Sesame Chicken and Hot & Sour soup. Combine them with Wing Shui's Eggrolls and Pork Fried Rice and I'm set for dinner. Everytime I'm in Kingston it's a pretty safe bet I'm going to somehow manage to get Wing Shui. Just writing this review my mouth is starting to water ... They will deliver just about anywhere in Kingston and are usually right on with their estimates on time. The prices are also very reasonalbe and the portions are always overflowing from the containers. You can't go wrong ordering from Wing Shui. read more

The food here was not bad. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was great, but it was decent. We dined in. Its obvious that this place is mostly catered to go. We were never asked what we wanted to drink and not even offered water. The prices were decent for lunch specials, but if you go outside of lunch time it seems a bit pricey. There are other places that would be better food quality for less cost. Overall, I would still recommend if you need a lunchtime Chinese food craving to tackle. read more

The boneless spare ribs were the best I've ever had. The sauce had a sweetness you normally don't get. Reheats great. The fried wanton shells are softer than many places; I like it that way. Greasy Chinese food at its greasiest! If that's what you like this is the place for you. How this establishment passes its yearly health inspection by the county is beyond me. Cobwebs, grease and dirt are visible everywhere. The dining room floor was filthy and our table was gummy/sticky to say the least. Definitely more suited to take out. The roast pork fried rice was dripping with grease, the spareribs are deep fried and not broiled as they should be. The egg rolls are the second nastiest in Kingston. The wonton soup is okay as are the steamed dumplings. The crab Rangoon was also overly greasy. Sesame chicken and General Tsos chicken were both overcooked and tough. To me this place needs to be cleaned up before someone gets sick. Go elsewhere. read more

This is the first place we go whenever we get back to the area. Their brown sauce is fabulous... No other place in the country can I get one-taste chicken or Hanan cashew nut chicken... so those are the first two things I get.... We call this the great Chinese greasy spoon restaurant!! I remember when this Chinese take-out, or, at least one with the same name, was on Wall Street. That was about 25 years ago. I used to go there to get take away for my dad and myself when I lived here. I remember it being really good, and loved watching the chefs in the back who made it look so easy. I was visiting this weekend for the first time in 8 years, and while I wanted to go to Dallas Hot Weiners, it was too crowded, so I had nostalgia for Wing Shui. Blah. Hot Sesame Noodles were just noodles really. The only thing sesame about it was the white sesame seeds scattered over it. I also bought a serving of Kung Pao chicken. Very tiny pieces of chicken. Which I am OK with if the rest of it supports that approach. Lots of big scallion chunks. Because scallions are cheap. I like scallions, but there's a limit to how many you should include. Sauce is a very important component of a dish like this. There was none. Oh, I saw evidence of moisture on the bottom of the container, but that was it. And the rice. It looked more like couscous, and, rather than being in a separate container which I am used to, was just one side of the preparation. And it was day-glo yellow!! Saffron rice? No, I don't think so, more like Yellow Dye Number Whatever. I was very disappointed. You can't go home. read more
