My experience at this location was not a great one. I made appointment for a free courtesy inspection when I arrived, I was told I would need to pay for the inspection. I really hate car places that take advantage of people, especially when they see they are a women thinking women don't deserve genuine car care. This place is just another example of car places over charging women. I am disgusted at the result of my appointment for a courtesy inspection, if there is something wrong with my vehicle. I wouldn't get work done here, because they are liable to over charge for the service. read more

I was not scheduled, I asked if they could look at a light that came on after purchasing the 35k vehicle used less than 24hrs after. Manager said it could be a brake light- I said that has its own light that's not what it says. It's referring to regular maintenance I'd like to make sure I'm ok after that type of money for my Mom. I don't want her to have to do anything but drive. I explained the brakes were jumpy, same manager after having a tech turn off the maintenance light says it must have been sitting the brake noise and feeling goes away after I kept referencing replacing the rotors possibly buffed uneven. He says he's Not going to Lie and say I need rotors he's not gonna lie to make the dealer pay. WOW! I never said LIE I asked him to check, he began yelling at me about taking the truck on a back road drive about 35mph and hit the brakes! Don't throw yourself through a window but the rust will fall off the more you drive! But he refused to document. Then says well that was $25. now I'll just do a used car inspection $149.00. THATS WHAT I ASKED FOR TO BEGIN WITH. He walked away, when the tech was heading to my vehicle I requested my keys & asked if I owe anything. I'll just leave cause he clearly doesn't want to look at it. Manager comes back saying he doesn't mind looking. After calling me a liar- yelling- making a scene because I am a WOMEN asking the right questions. He gets mad and calls the next customer. I have been to this location before & have returned with the PREVIOUS MANAGER! This guy should NOT be allowed to interact with customers. I am Customer Service & he was Deplorable! The mechanics had better communication skills than he did! I went to another shop & was treated very kind. That new manager that was there 5/1/26 at 3:30pm is terrible. read more

My repairs were extremely expensive (Toyota should say it all!) The manager and the assistant manager were extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable! I'm sure he took a personal hit on this work! I've had some tire issues involving going flat due to corrosion and also needed them rebalanced. Whenever I called, John was able to get my car in very quickly, and complete the fixes quickly too. I have been going to the Midas on Arlington Rd in Akron for about 18 years. The technicians and management are friendly and professional. It may be a national chain but it has a small local business feel, at least at this location. Great service, quality work, and excellent prices for the work done considering how quickly they get me in and out of there. I highly recommend! read more

I couldn't be more happy with my experience here. To make a long story short when I wasn't going to be able to pick up my car for another whole day they offered to pick me up (from 25 minutes away!!) and bring me back to the shop before I had to go to work. Once I figured out if I left right that moment I could be there within 25 minutes, even though they had just closed they stayed open for me to be able to get my car. I've been on the other side of that situation so I know how annoying it is and they really handled me with grace! The price was completely reasonable as well. Very pleased and appreciative read more

This is the worst service I have ever received. I had my brakes fixed and no more that two weeks later they were squeaking and there was an issue because they didn't complete their job properly. We have been talked back to, lied to, and told false information. They will never admit to their faults. We were told that they would cover the tow and fix the issue for free, and now we are being told the opposite. Avoid this business at all costs. I know I will never be going back. They went out of their way to help me get the best deal on my tires (making some calls for me to see if anyone could match tirerack.com) and then walked me through the process of what would happen when the tires were delivered to their shop. The waiting area was comfortable, the price of the service was fair, and the job done was top notch. Highly recommended. read more
