So this Midas location was recommended to me by 2 long time customers. I took my car here for the first time in May 2025. I had an oil change done and then they told me I needed my serpentine belt fixed. And there was some kind of cover or plate that needed to be replaced. I went ahead and got that done. I regret getting it all done at Midas. So they realized they put in a wrong part in my car, they had to go to another Midas location across town to pick it up. The removed the wrong part and put in the right one. Red flag right there. When I picked up my car and started driving off, every time I accelerated it would make a clanking noise. After 10-15 minutes though it went away so I decided to drive home. Home was 45 mins away in hunters creek. I regret not bringing it back immediately even though the noise went away. That was my mistake. Looking at my current paperwork my serpentine belt was changed at Toyota in 2022. Months later in December 2025, I was overdue for an oil change and figured I would go back to Midas to just get an oil change. I refused everything else. Oil change was about $90 for my Toyota Yaris 2017. So just recently when I started my car it would make a noise at the end. Several different noises. The car sounded like it wanted to die after starting it, or there's some kind of grumbling or clanking. I asked some car friends about it. Suspicion was low oil. I decided to take my car to Toyota to check the battery and whatnot. They came back with 2.5qts of oil missing. There was not an oil leak. So there was not enough oil put in the car during the oil change. So due to low oil in the car, my sprockets went bad. Oil wasn't flowing down there I guess? I regret taking my car to Midas for them to touch it. This is why sometimes going to your car dealer is worth it... my car is going to cost an arm and a leg to fix or I have to get a new car. So my coworker also took his wife's car to Midas for an oil change in the last few months. We were both actually referred to come here by another coworker. Ever since the oil change on his wife's car, the car has never been the same. The engine light never goes away and there's no reason why. Back to my car, I think the serpentine belt was put in wrong somehow or something because of the initial clanking noise after picking up my car in May 2025, along with skimming me out on oil during my oil change has messed up my car right now, I DO NOT Recommend this Midas at all. Cannot speak for the rest but definitely not this one. read more

I have a hybrid vehicle and instead of the staff telling me that they weren't qualified to service my vehicle they did it anyway. They ended up putting a bandaid on the crater of an issue I had which later cause further damage to my car. I now have to pay 5600 dollars to the dealership I purchased it from for repairs and Midas refuses to give me a refund or take responsibility for their poor services. Trust me when I say.. these people are only looking to take your money, not provide quality service. read more

My first experience today with Midas Altamonte Springs and Jeremy was excellent. I went in just for an oil change and tire rotation special. While chatting with Jeremy, I added a fuel injector cleaning on my 3 year old Soul with 28,000 miles on it. It seems to run much smoother now. He explained how the cleaning is done in a 3 part process. The final bill had a couple suggestions on it for additional preventive services, and I'll likely go back soon for most of them. Thanks. I brought my vehicle in to have a brand new exhaust system installed and was told that I bought the wrong part, took the vehicle to another shop and the system bolted right up which I knew it would. Prior to bringing the car there I personally had the car on 4 stands and checked that what I ordered would fit, I was quoted $360 to do the install but when the car got on the stands the price bumped up to $440 then I was called and told that I needed to do headers in order for the system to work which bright the labor up to $1400. I suggest you guys dedicate your time to hiring professionals and stop ripping people off. read more

I My husband visited MIDAS of Altamonte Springs 610 E Altamonte drive this morning, and had the most dissapointed experience ever. He was mistreated by the manager, Jeremy Wilkins. My husband only requested an oil change as he had before, and just because this person decided to run a full diagnosys in the vehicle without even asking and my husband did not want to get the advised service at the time, he was yelled at and mistreated by this guy Jeremy. Beware. AVOID THE PLACE. I am the original owner of a 2007 Jeep and sole drive. I have started my Jeep probably 50,000 times in my life and I know how to drive it. It started to have starting problems. $1,799.39 (overcharges and typical complaints by others). and 4 days later, nothing has changed and still having same problems. Still under supposed warranty buy yet this place refuses to honor as such. Tells me I do not know how to start the Jeep and may have a low battery. They become Anger, hostile if I question them about fixing it, and they just simply refuse to fix it. Preparing a lawsuit against this company. I would not trust them to fix a flat tire, as they would put it right back onto the vehicle and overcharge you. Many, many people have complaint about them. I am a senior (77 years old living on social security only and having to skip meals to save enough money to hire another mechanic). I believe they charging me for parts that they never install on the Jeep. Do not even spend a penny on a repair with them, in my opinion, that would be penny too much. Complete Rip-off!!!!! $600 to put on struts and springs, they said 5hr labor, I said are you sure my buddy did it himself in less than 2hrs with a jack. Guess what I was right it took them less than 2hrs with an oil change. I asked for a discount to justify the hrs of labor and he refused. How do you Justify $600 in 2hrs. Complete Rip-off!!! On 9/21, I came to Midas seeking help on a sea foam treatment for my vehicle. The attendant said he could provide a service that would essentially do the same job for $89.99 - mind you I did not ask. I asked if I could be shown by one of their experienced mechanics where the sea foam is applied to as I did not want to make the mistake of applying it in the wrong line. The attendant pretty much indicated I was asking for too much and that if he were to help me, he would have to help everyone and it would not drive business. This was aggravating because as a customer who has come here for regular oil changes, I felt like I was being slapped in the face. It's very discouraging to hear the poor mentality of some people who make these decisions and his response has costed him my business. I do not plan on returning here for any further oil changes as I know my business will be appreciated elsewhere. I had a coupon for a $19.99 oil change and decided to give this place a try since it's near my house. I was a walk-in although you can make appointments as well. The manager (Mark?) was very friendly and they started working on my car right away. My total wait time was about 40 minutes and I entertained myself reading magazines in their lobby. My total cost w/ disposal fees and tax was just under $24. I would recommend this place and would return here. read more

I went in for an oil change and had them take a look at my transmission oil since we thought it was overfilled; he knew it was and was still asking me about is as though trying to make me think it was other things as well.......not cool! The main mechanic guy was named Sean I think who was the one who rudely helped and answered "some" of my questions! They ended up charging me $88 which $20 went to check and take out some oil in transmission......pricey compared to other places. I thought the service was fairly quick in under 45 minutes but thought the overall service was crappy with a bad attitude! When I got there it was only 2 people waiting but after both of them left I still waited almost an hour. Shout out to Midas on 436 in Altamonte Springs! My tire light came on and I put air in the tires a couple of times but the light kept coming on again. I stopped in on my way to work this morning and asked them to check my tires. Sure enough they found a crew in my rear passenger tire. They fixed it FREE and I was on my way in less than 20 minutes. THAT'S SERVICE - no pushing products on me, no scaring me into buying anything, they just fixed my flat. Thank you! read more

EWARE !!!! If I could give this place ZERO stars I would because they aren't worthy of even one star . I came in for an oil change and long story short a few days later my car stalled and I had to get it towed to the house. The check engine light came on and the oil change light came on, so once at my house , popped the hood and realized that the "technician" NEVER RECAPPED THE OIL CAP AND THE OIL HAD SPILLED ALL OVER MY ENGINE. Now my car is new , so fearing that I could've voided the warranty by having taken it to an outside shop like midas, I called my dealership and explained to them what happened. They were able to accommodate me into their schedule three days later and told me that because the oil change had not been done properly or capped correctly they would need to do another oil change and clean all the oil that spilled everywhere. It cost me $200 to get this done and when I reached out to Midas to explain what happened and request to have this issue worked out I was told by the manager Jeffrey there was nothing they would do to help me. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HIS TECHNICIANS GROSS NEGLIGENCE THAT LEAD TO ME HAVE TO SPEND AN ADDITIONAL $200 ! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND MIDAS TO ANYONE..especially not after the disgusting manner in which Jeffrey handled the situation - he LITERALLY LAUGHED AT ME WHEN I PROVIDED HIM THE PROOF FROM THE DEALERSHIP STATING THE OIL CHANGE WAS DONE NEGLIGENTLY ! Beware. My wife took her car in for an oil change. They told her that the vehicle needed over $1700 worth of repairs including new front brake pads which they said were completely worn. I took the vehicle to another repair shop to check the front brakes. There was nothing wrong with the pads at all or most of the repairs they insisted needing done. I checked the pads myself. They are crooks looking to lure suckers in for hundreds of dollars in unneeded repairs with a 19.99 oil change. Get the oil change. Forget any repairs they tell you about. I have always been hesitant about going to a car repair place. That changed this past Friday. I have a 2011 Mercedes and I brought it into Midas in Altamonte Springs. I was greeted by Jose Jr. with a big smile. He gave me such an assurance that everything would be ok, I felt safe. I felt that I was not going to get ripped off, but actually cared for. The thought that because I drive a Mercedes they would think that I am rich and try to sell me things, terrified me. I want to thank Jose Jr. for changing my fear that day. Thank you thank you. After trying a bunch of places I tried this place. Reviews were so so. I needed brakes and a thermostat. I had taken my Mazda to the dealership earlier in the day to get a full diagnostic on my vehicle. I knew brakes would be cheaper at a non dealership. Sean quoted me brakes labor and thermostat replacement for approximately $500. I said great. He even could get it done that day. He calls me at 515, they close at 6, to tell me my calipers are shot and won't go back into place and that it was basically not drive able. Imagine my frustration when they tell me that. How do you inspect something then call me to tell me that you basically have to replace this now. He told me then my charge would be $1100. $1100!!!!!!! Bs. I get parts and labor but they did not know what they were talking about. they will tack in pointless charges if you let them. On top of all this they have to keep my car overnight and when I pick it up the next day they tell me my fan motor is shot. Why in the hell would you tell me after you have finished my car and not while you were working on it? The whole reason I got a thermostat was to stop the overheating. Now I am having to replace something that Mazda would have surely caught. Very sketchy people here. Be aware. read more

I went for a diagnostic on my vehicle because my engine light went on, the service they gave me at Midas was very fast,rude,and not helpful..After I denied the extremely over priced services they wanted to perform on my vehicle they gave me a printed paper of my diagnostic in which they held important information of what was wrong with my vehicle,Until the next day i notice and made them give it to me ..they wanted to charge me over 500$$$ for an easy fix..the guy who worked on the front office Sean said that the part was 500$ which I ended up buying the part for 80$...and he said the installation was 39$ in which took me 5 min to do myself....I ended up getting the same Diagnostic results from Auto zone for FREE!!! on my vehicle then in midas which cost me 37$$$.... read more

I went into this Midas location to get an oil change. the staff there was very friendly and I was introduced to the mechanic that worked on my car, along with the manager at the front counter. I was able to get my car serviced quickly. They did point out a few things that my car needed, including tires. I was not able to get the extra work done at the time, and did not feel pressured to get it done. I am very happy and will most definitely go back for any services that I need on my car. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was because the office area was a little messy and they were out of coffee. read more
