I own a 2003 Nissan Xterra that up until this last year has held together amazingly. But, time and wear and tear have started to take its toll. I brought my SUV into Midas Beverly Hills in January 2026 to get rotors and pads done. I've only had to do this one other time in the entire time I've owned my car and I did that also at a Midas location, so I figured why not go there again, so I took it to the one closest to me in Beverly Hills. Everything was great, it was wonderful to have new brakes on my car, and that was the end of it up until a week ago when I was driving and all of a sudden my antilock breaking system engaged, which left the car immovable. It was towed to Midas Beverly Hills and I waited to find out what the potential damage was, literally and financially. I should also say that due to life happening, I lost not only my business, but my home in mid December, so since then I have been living in my truck, unfortunately. So you can imagine how scared I was that I would have to put more money into this vehicle (money I did not have). A Couple days later, I received a call that the car was ready to be picked up, but I was curious because no one ever called me to let me know what work needed to be done, so as I walked a couple miles to the shop, I was filled with dread at the potential money that it was going to take to get my car back. I arrived to find out that one of the bolts had snapped, which was the reason for the breaking system to engage. But, the warranty that Midas offers got my vehicle fixed at no additional charge, and I was free to go, literally! In this day and age, it's becoming harder and harder to find people that stand by their work, especially when it comes to automotive repair. So, you can imagine the relief I felt when I was told the car was ready to go, and there would be no charge. I have never used Midas for anything other than the two times I have gone to have my brakes worked on, but because of the care and concern of Midas Beverly Hills, they are now my mechanics. No good deed goes undone. **Thank you so much** to Joe, Kenneth, and Nacho, who treated me and my SUV with the kind of care and good workmanship that you would expect from a solid mechanic and auto repair shop. Here's the exact breakdown from my receipt: * AGM Interstate Battery: $289.99 (but when I asked the service writer, he told me $380 -- misleading). * Labor for installation: $202.80 * Battery programming/registration: $120 * Starting/charging system diagnosis: $160 That adds up to $801.06 for one battery replacement. I called two independent BMW/European repair shops afterward, and both quoted me around $500 total for the same service (battery + labor + programming). That means I overpaid here by at least $250-$300. I understand shops need to make money, but this feels like taking advantage of customers with inflated labor and unnecessary diagnostic fees. On top of that, being told the battery cost $380 while the receipt shows $289.99 is simply dishonest. Unless Midas corporate or this location makes this right with a refund or partial adjustment, I cannot recommend them. If you need a BMW battery replacement, go to a reputable European specialist -- you'll save hundreds and avoid being misled. read more

Their store window and website state they open at 8am. It wasn't until 8:30 that ONE person showed up to open the store. So even at 8:30 they aren't available to do any actual work. Just say you open at 9. The solo employee was immediately on the phone (and being quite unpleasant with the customer he was speaking to) and after waiting another 10 minutes, with one person in front of me in line and only one employee working, I decided to leave. This place is a mess, do not come here. A wasted hour of my day. I was here for all four tires from my work truck and some check engine light. They lost out on some good money. read more

She got there an hour before they closed but Joe made sure they fixed her tire and even mounted it back on the car (she was driving on spare). I took my Nissan Juke as the engine had stalled and service engine soon light was on. They initially diagnosed the repair as a need to replace the mass air flow sensor and it would run. Since that repair back in late June, the service light returned three times. Brought the car back and they indicated the code was due to a system problem with the CPU and the air flow sensor was all that was needed. (Potentially an engine air filter change and fuel injector cleaning) I brought the car to Nissan as they recommended and they found problems with throttle system and turbo accelerator. Nissan's mechanics indicated that the air flow sensor was just a cover up for a solution. Service was fine for what was thought as the initial problem, I just wish they had assessed the problem a bit more deeply as now I have to trade in a car later than what could've been done sooner. Down 800 dollars from the air flow sensor and now further with the change of car. read more

I have been coming to this Midas in Beverly HIlls for years now and I have always had the most outstanding service! I recently had some issues with my old car and went to get some things updated and had the best customer service from Kelly the Manager. She is the best!! Absolutely love her and how she conducts business there. I think she and her crew she be recognized for their outstanding job and service. She gave me the best advice on my car and the service was the best. I highly recommend this place to all my friends. my car had broke down and my husband took it into Midas to have them diagnose and look into the problem. I thought it might be the alternator but turned out to be a bad battery. They changed the battery and off I went until about 10-11 days later when the car stopped working and I could not jump start it. We had the car towed back to Midas and they found the problem almost immediately. While they worked on the car I sat in the office and spoke with I believe her name was Kelly. She ordered the part and it was delivered within 30 minutes time and fixed in about 5. I give them 5 stars for customer service and 4 for performance. I think this place is an honest place to bring your car. I was not charged for the part since my car had just been there 10 days prior and it had to do with a battery fuse. I would definitely trust bringing my car here. I think some of their prices might be a little high but because of the location I understand. Absolute CROOKS!!!!!!!! I had taken my car in twice and they recommended that I purchase 4 new tires each time. After each visit, I drove over to Just Tires, always getting the same response that my tires were just fine. Yesterday, my wife went in for an oil change with not even 18,000 miles on her car and Kelly some how conned her into purchasing 4 new tires. When I went back to confront her, reminding her about the two previous times that she was wrong about me needing tires, and asking her why she pushed my wife into buying 4 new tires, when they had less than 18,000 miles, Kelly showed absolutely no remorse. I had brought my car in on October 29, 2020. The car had overheated the night before and there was no coolant in it. We met with Joel regarding it and also inquired about doing an oil change. After looking at the car, Joel called me to let me know there was also an alignment issue and that he also wanted to replace two of the tires affected by this. In total costing a little over $650.00. Not a problem. We pick the car up later that day and Joel tells my partner and I that everything with the coolant looked good and he didn't see any issues with the cooling system. We haven't driven the car much because of COVID and other than going to and from the store there hasn't been much prolonged use. Friday night, 12/12/2020 that changed and I drove the car about 20 miles, during that time, my car overheated again. My partner, who has been loyal to this location for a while, calls Joel Saturday afternoon (12/13) and Joel says he can look at it on Monday. We go today to take the car in, Joel is not there, that's okay, we talk to Kelly, explain what has happened and she assures me they will check it out. A couple hours later Kelly calls me back to tell me they found a leak in the radiator and that I should take it to my dealership as the car is likely under warranty (I call, it is great). I go to pick the car up. Kelly is not there and the staff let's me know they have to charge me for a coolant flush. To which I express concern as I am here because they just did this to my knowledge back at the end of October. They guy informs me they just checked the prior history and Joel lied to us and never checked the coolant on the car, "you shouldn't be frustrated, you guys are good customers," he says to me. I ask for them to have Joel call me when he is back to work, as this doesn't make sense. To which I again get told, I shouldn't be frustrated... I feel lied to and I cannot tell who is lying to me as a customer. It is disheartening to then be told not be frustrated about being lied to, as my partner and I, both have a hard time believing Joel lied to us, as we have been consistent customers here for a while now and have not experienced this kind of issues. We have recommended this location to multiple friends. In the future we will rethink that. read more

Honestly, I was little concerned when I saw the mixed reviews. I needed a battery change and came in out of desperation. Joel help me out and he was fantastic. He didn't try and upsell me when I asked if they should do an entire inspection on my car. I told him I had a jump to get here turned it off tried to turn it back on and that was enough for him. I went here midday on a Tuesday for an oil change and when asked for the wait time, I was told it would take another 2 hours before my car would be taken care of. They front desk man recommended I come back the next day right when they open to ensure I can get in and out without waiting long. I returned the next day at 08:00AM and no one was in sight... I waited and waited, but still no one came. It wasn't until 08:45AM until someone came on a motorcycle. I was there first and then another man pulled up and of course, cut me in line. The front desk person said nothing. Did not even address the situation. Then when it was my turn, he then starts answering phones without acknowledging me. Finally I ask for an oil change and they do so. After my oil change, I've noticed my car have a burning smell after every drive. Stay away- liars. Will charge you for unnecessary procedures. Came to fix a slow flat, and complete ordinary maintenance. Joel saw a woman and I guess that meant $$ and gullible to him. I am not a kid, and nobody has tried to swindle me the way he did in a long time. He called and told me I needed a new air filter (he said it's bad but I can wait- what does that even mean? my car is 3 years old 22,000 miles), and 4 new tires, he said cost between 600-957$$. He refused to rotate my tires because he said they were so bad, and charged full price for maintenance even though he did not rotate the tires . I took my car and went elsewhere, who checked my tires and told me they were fine, and fixed my flat with a plug. Total cost 10$. The worst service, or rather NON-service I've ever received. I just wanted a simple oil change, but I was told to make an appointment or I'd probably just hang around waiting. So I made an appointment for 12:30, arrived at 12:30, and they had computer problems that lasted about 15 mins before they could get to me. Then they said it could take 1 hour 15 mins to do the job, because they were busy. Ok. 1 hour and 40 mins later they hadn't even started to work on the car. When I complained, they said , "I told you we were busy." So what's the point of an appointment?
