I took care of in for its MA annual inspection sticker. They were accurate in what my wait time would be, and had a tv to watch and some magazines in waiting room while waiting for my car to be inspected. The employees were friendly, professional and courteous. I plan to go to them next year for the car's inspection sticker. In the past, I have had my brake pads replaced and found the price to be reasonable, and they took the time to explain what work they had done on the brakes. I just tried to get my car fix at Midas Bridgewater. after all the normal process as living my keys and car part was done I stepped out the shop and went about my day. the desk manager present took my keys in front of my eyes before I was gone and move them. after some minutes they called me telling me that I never left the key at the shop to begin with, even called me a liar and made jokes about be forgetting to leave the keys. Following close to an hour of me explaining myself and him joking, they found the keys and sure enough they kicked me out because I was right and did not fix my car. After having a good experience here in June, I returned in August for an oil change. The service advisor comes out and says I need struts and brakes, and it will cost $1,100. They convinced me to apply for their credit card. When done, I was handed an envelope with papers in it. They didn't tell me the final cost or show me the paperwork. When I looked, it was over $1,600! When I complained, they gave me a paper with a balance of -$102. When the credit card statement arrived, the credit wasn't reflected. When I called customer service, they informed me there's nothing they can do about that. Also, while I waited, they told everyone who went in for a simple oil change that they needed more work, trying to upsell. Never returning, and will make sure everyone knows they are dishonest. read more

Do not try to get your car inspection done at this location. After trying the last 2 times they are the laziest group of employees and will lie through their teeth to keep from doing inspections. I went this last time and was told come back the techs were busy. I came back and the guy didn't recognize me only after a little over and hr and then said the same 2 techs aren't inspectors and to come back Tuesday. read more

Came in for a tire repair. They made me wait over an hour to tell me that they looked at the tire and could not repair it. All the while making fun of me for having work supplies in my trunk. They wanted to charge me $50 for this "service". When I left a bad review on the company website they called me to harass me about said review. Management aka "Andrew" needs to be dealt with. read more

I went for an oil change and inspection sticker and they said my rear brakes needed to be replaced. We were about to leave on a trip so we took a different vehicle to be safe. Upon return I took my car to a different mechanic and he said they were completely fine. I won't return to Midas. read more

My wife brought her car in to get the window fixed. They charged her $300 to get a new part, which didn't work. They told her to bring it in again and charged her $160 more to connect some wires that they should've connected in the first place. These people are absolute crooks. DO NOT take your car to them. Total rip-off!! I went in for a sticker and manager " ANDREW" said I had to replace a light bulb for my license plate, and a rear (small ) wiper blade to get the sticker. Andrew is the so called Manager of this store here in Bridgewater with Very Very Poor Service and lack of experience as a so called Manager. I do not Recommend anyone go at this location. I booked an appointment 2 hours in advance online and arrive 30 minutes early for my appointment after traveling 45 minutes from where I was to be told they were overbooked with not enough workers on today. I arrived at 4pm and was scheduled between 4:30pm-6pm when they close. I even called and was told to come in for 4:30pm because I wanted to see if I could get in earlier and was told no. When I arrived there was only 2 cars in the bay with 3 workers present. This is very Poor Service and would NEVER RECOMMEND this place in Bridgewater to anyone. read more

Zero. literally zero stars. I booked an oil change apt. days ago, it was confirmed and they called me the day after to confirm and they asked if I could come earlier. I talked to work and the let me leave earlier . Get there to my apt and they tell me they can't do it that day they are too busy. John and Steven at Midas were great! I got a flat tire while I was across the street and was able to get my car across the street to them. I went inside all flustered about what just happened and they were more than willing to help me out. Unlike most auto places, they gave me multiple options on what I could do and didn't give me any hassle about ANYTHING. The prices were straight forward and they explained all of the prices in great detail. I can't thank them enough for helping me out. They took my car in right away and fixed my tired. As a young adult I can get stressed super easily but like I said, they treated me with such respect and did all they could to make sure my tire would get fixed and that there was no need to stress! Never, every use this shop. Ten months ago they replaced our rear brake system. Six months ago brought the car back because of noises coming from the rear. They said the were fine. Today I am replacing the rear brake system again because the caliper is broken. read more

I didn't expect free flat tire repair when I called. I wanted the tires rotated as well. That wasn't free, but he told me it was free with an oil change. Turned out I was due for one. So I got an oil change, nail removed from my tire and repaired, and tires rotated all for the low price of an oil change. It was a bargain. read more

Called a day before, guy said just come in anytime. When i got there yesterday, the guy at the counter was a Dick and a terrible salesman. He didn't want to take any time to explain to me the differences in the oils or the benefits. I was trying to ask him other questions about my car and he wasnt one bit of help, acted like he didnt care or understand the mechanics of my vehicle. I went there a few years back but i assume they have not changed much. My front brakes were grinding and they had a sign New set of brakes. 50$ (I would do them myself now) I said, i just want front brakes. Nothing else. Knowing annoying chains like that i even added, so don't go and take my rear wheels off too. Then they later tell me after they remove all the wheels they could not give me my car back until i had a ton of work done. Being a naive kid at the time i had no choice. I believe it ended up costing me 800$! One of the many things i did not need done that was listed was "serviced the calipers" So when i left there after a few miles My wheels were smoking Lol, i remember running up to a random person's house to grab their garden hose. So the next day, i go back and say. My calipers are frozen. They said. Looks fine to me. The one time they don't want to take everything apart. So i drove it down the street and back to let them smoke and came back and said. Is that normal. All the customers got to see. They tell me it will be 500 to fix and denied doing anything to them even though it said "serviced calipers" I bought new calipers for 30$ and did it myself. Bottom line Total scum bags Scam artist Theives Never go there. I hate that place. read more

Awful experience.. I dropped off my car for a regular oil change. After an hour, the manager called and insisted I had almost $500 worth of repairs (some of which I just had done by a mechanic I trust very much). The manager was supposed to call when my car was done, not when he wanted to get in my wallet. I called him back an hour later, asking if the oil change was completed and he said they were "just wrapping it up". When I picked up the car 3 hours after dropping it off, my car was still in the garage. He suggested I just back it out to save time and he would open the door. I conceded, just wanting to go home. Someone pulled in the parking lot as I was backing up, so I braked. Before I could even stop my car completely, the manager felt the need to suggest I look where I'm going. Seriously? I was already stopping. I think he assumed I was a bad driver because I'm a woman. You know what they say about making assumptions! Sorry I wouldn't rollover and let you rob me blind, jerk! Do not go here!!! Took my car here for a sticker. Car runs fine and no issues. Was told $1k plus of repairs or they wouldn't pass me. Ticky tack stuff - wiper blades (work fine) and then a "whole new exhaust system." There are many other local places very close by that I have gone to for years without issues. I would highly recommend going elsewhere unless you want a rejection sticker and extremely rude service. read more

Will never go to this business again! My daughter brought her car in for a routine oil change only to be told that her brakes were basically "metal on metal" and needed to be replaced immediately for a cost around $400. There was no indication that her brakes were bad, such as the usual squealing or grinding sound brakes make when they are "metal on metal". Also don't see any reason they would have to inspect her brakes for a "routine oil change". Then the mechanic comes back to her a bit later and told her that her total cost was $900, did not ask if she wanted the work done just that was what she owed. She tried explaining that she couldn't afford that so they began pushing their credit card on her, which thankfully she refused to apply for. The whole situation reads of a college student being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous business. Midas will never get another dime from any member of our family or friends. read more

I recently visited Midas to fix my tire that had popped on 9/27. I am from Maine and a student at Bridgewater State University. On 9/29 I arrived at Midas to get my tire fixed and asked that they ensure the rest of my tires are at the correct pressure. About an hour later I received a call from the manager saying that not only did I need to replace the rear passenger tire ($245) but I would need another tire for the front passenger side of my car, new rotors ($285), and an alignment ($99). This all would total to about $900. I explained to the manager that I just had an alignment and I just bought my car less than a year ago. Very confused I decided to just have the popped tire replaced and I would bring my car to the Ford dealership where I purchased it. I picked my car up that day, paid and went on my way. The weekend of 8/6 I drove my car home to Maine and brought it directly to my dealership and had them keep it over night to let me know what I need for work. On 8/7 I received a call for my car salesman that there was absolutely no need for work to be done and everything checked out to be perfectly fine. He explained that I may need new break pads my next oil change, which is 3,000 miles from now since I got it done before I left for school in August along with an alignment. I am very disappointed in Midas of Bridgewater for trying to get more money out of me by doing unnecessary work. I will not be using them ever again. read more

I had a bad feeling about using this shop. There were no cars in the lot and only a couple in the bays. This usually means they have a bad rep. I only needed an oil change and an inspection sticker so I figured what could go wrong. About an hour and half later, the guy called. Tried to sell me on a bunch of stuff including wiper blades. He said they were "streaky". I said no and he said the car was ready then. When I went to pick it up he said he would have to give me a rejection sticker if I didn't want to buy the wiper blades. I checked out the blades and they were still good. They were only about 6 months old. So I paid for the oil change and went to someone I trust for an inspection sticker. This is not the way to build a good customer base. Had I been treated right, I would have come back. But now, no way. read more

Stay Away! Failed inspection for suspension. While there they told me to bring it to them for repairs. Got 2 separate opinions telling me they were full of crap. Then, as the car was under warranty, replaced the supposedly faulty part anyway. They failed it again. They picked a part they new was under warranty thinking I would bring it to them for repairs. After all with the warranty it wasn't my money so why would I care? If you want honest service this is not the place for you. I went here because I live two minutes away. I now take my car from bridgewater all the way up through that Boston traffic to Quincy. It is that bad. read more

Such poor quality service. The brakes that I got a year ago squeaked from the moment I got my car back. I was told that it was normal. Cheap calipers got stuck, caused burning, and the entire system had to be replaced. I was overcharged, they didn't save the parts despite my asking them to, and the prices are higher than their competitors. Never again. read more
