This location tried to convince me to get 2 new tires on my truck when they weren't necessary. What scammers!! The 2 tires would have been over $600 installed. They said I needed them when I could tell by looking at them that they were not necessary. That was 2 weeks ago and I have put over 1500 miles on the tires since, came for a patch somewhere else due to a nail puncture. I had firestone gauge them for me and they informed me they are at 40% tread. I hate it when shops lie to get more business. Will never return here for anything again. read more

Took my truck in for a transmission leak, $3,400 and three weeks later, they returned my vehicle. I had an additional 550 miles on my vehicle, seems as if somebody decided they wanted to take it for an extended test drive, as well as a leak from the repairs one month later. Couldn't afford to take it back to them and they're incompetent mechanics, so had to pay another $1,800 to correct their mistakes. They told me i needed a brand new kit for the back(have no clue what kind of kit wasnt really explained to me) brakes. 1700 later they had to refund me for ac because it was never fixed and now my car leaks antifreeze in passenger side floor bored( inside truck) i have been having all kinds of noise from brakes cheri which is owner refused to redund my money to go somewhere else to really fix. So last night driving home the brakes snapped and now i have no brakes. Had to have it towed in by tow truck to another midas where they told me theres no such thing as a brake kit in the back. And yhey did sinething to have anti freeze leaking. They knew i was going on a trip to texas. Actually i nevet went i was so scared to drive it that far. So i never got to help my dad recover from heart attack. Because they couldnt do their job correctly. Now they are trying to say we did damage to the vehicle. We were visiting on vacation and our van was making a noise, so I took it in. They said we needed an alignment and tire rotation. After, when we were on our way home, the van would only drive straight if I had the steering wheel jerked 30 degrees to the right. When we got home (a 5 hour drive away) I called and they asked me to drive back to Castle Rock to "fix it." They also told me it was "done right" but that the steering wheel had been set wrong. I finally negotiated to take it to a different Midas store, which also did not do the alignment right. I called for a refund and the manager told me that he wouldn't because I, "took it to another shop." I pointed out it was another Midas. He told me to go get a refund from the second shop. Of course, I didn't pay them anything because they were supposed to be fixing his screw up. I had to call the 1-800 Midas number to get a refund. I finally had my local shop do it, who said it was "way off" and "really screwed up." I wouldn't recommend any Midas, but especially not this one. read more

These guys always do a wonderful job on both mine and my wife's cars. Took my 2007 edge in for a brake check since another shop I went to said it was gonna cost around $1700 for everything that my car "needed". I brought my car in to Ron and they took car of everything and was nowhere near $1700 worth of brake repairs. My car is running great. They also make time even if it's close to closing to take car of my car. Very satisfied with this shop and all the staff. Thanks guys! read more

I was driving from Sundance, WY to Colorado Springs, CO the day before Thanksgiving - November, 2021. Long story short, my Jeep began what seemed to be "The Death Wobble" as I cruised through Denver into Castle Rock. I spied this Midas and hoped for the best. $4202 later...I was back on the road. I had no choice but to ok the charges and pay the bill to get back home. Once I got home, I showed the bill to my husband, a certified mechanic, who advised me that they sold me parts at hundreds of dollars in mark-up. Obviously he was mad at me for paying, but got more mad once he looked at the "work" and immediately saw a leak into my inner wheel well. He called and spoke to Midas in Castle Rock (a couple of times over different days) and they basically told him too bad. They weren't adjusting any of the charges. We took the Jeep to a different Midas, 60 miles away from where I live in Sundance, where the mechanics there incredulously told me what a scam I got myself into. They also couldn't believe the cost of the parts charged to me. They ended up putting $2,000 more into this, on Midas' dime this time, to fix the shoddy work that the Midas in Castle Rock did. I contacted the BBB who basically told me that since I ok'd the charges and paid, it was on me. Lesson learned. I saw another review that mentioned a "single lady" feeling like she'd been taken advantage of by this Midas. I can't do anything at all about what happened to me, but, hopefully I can save the next "single lady" from going into this Midas in Castle Rock, CO. read more

Driving through castle rock and my car started to break down so I stopped at Midas. Even though they were supposed to be closing in 30 minutes, the manager Brandon took his time to figure out what was wrong with the car and then even stayed late to work on it! For someone who does not understand cars and could have easily been taken advantage of, I felt very comfortable and trusted their honesty. Great customer service! read more

These guys were great. On Saturday my friend and I were traveling back from Colorado Springs to Denver, and after crossing Monument Hill, my car overheated, engine light went on, oil light was blinking, smoking.... very scary and upsetting. We were 6 miles from Castle Rock, so since I don't know much about cars, I pulled over to the shoulder to see if I could cool the car down until we made it back. What was also upsetting is only 1 week before I was at the dealership that I go to for service for my 100K service tests and they found nothing wrong. Anyway, I started up the car again, and it sounded worse. Saw Midas from I-25 and we made it to the parking lot. It was 3:45 and they close at 5 on Saturdays. I was hoping it would be an easy fix or at the very least they could tell me what was wrong, and then I could call a tow truck. They got me in, looked at my car, diagnosed it, ordered the part, and stayed open until they were done (about 6:45). They were very nice, explained everything, and very helpful. (I'm sure these guys had better things to do on a Saturday night). Come to find out my old radiator cap was so worn, the heat from the long drive caused the cap to fly into the radiator and split the radiator open. (Be sure to get your radiator caps replaced at least every 2 years). Anyways, thank you Midas. It was a great experience, and my car is working the best it has for a long time. read more

We went in today to drop our car off and her an oil change, as well as get a mechanical issue checked out. Right off the bat, the employee told us that is was.most likely a very expensive repair, without even looking at the car. So the oil was changed, and that cost $50. We had a coupon for $10 off, but the employee told my husband he couldn't use it because it was not printed off. Nowhere on the coupon does it say it has to be printed, so they essentially ripped him off. Furthermore, the Midas in Littleton does a free tire rotation with the oil change, and it is half the price. Not only was this oil change a rip off, they we're unable to give a proper diagnosis of what is wrong with the vehicle. We will never go back to this establishment. read more

WARNING! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE! They are unethical! They recommend work that doesn't need to be done, and the work they do do is horrible at best. Their prices and wait times aren't any better. It's the kind of shop that you should check your wires, hoses and anything else under your hood to make sure they didn't intentionally do damage to milk more money out of your pockets. read more

This place is a disaster. I have given them multiple chances and each time they disappoint me. The last time I went in to Midas they told me they needed to keep my car for an hour. The actually kept it for more than 7 hours and still did not complete the work on it. Both locations are owned by the same couple and are equally disorganized. They are dishonest and clumsy. I went to the castleton St location a few weeks ago...they installed an exhaust pipe and a new exhaust tip...no issues...I asked about the check engine light...Buddy (one of the owners) said it would cost me $120 to inspect the vehicle. I said no thanks and informed him I have a neighborhood mechanic. Today I had to take my car back there for an exhaust blockage...Buddy spent 10 min trying tell me I didn't know which location I was calling...he couldn't find me in the computer...he didn't ask how to spell my name (which is important) when he finally listened and got the car delivered he told the person who took it over he didn't want to work on my car and he doesn't want talk to me...probably because I know more about cars than he does...well long story longer...This time he told me in order to see if the exhaust problem was their fault it would cost me $60 to diagnose it...I talk to a lot of people in castle rock Buddy! You will never have my business again nor will I ever recommend Midas to anyone! No wonder you're never busy...the shop next door and 2 doors down are always busy! Hmmm wonder why? SMH read more

Harvey runs a great clean shop! He is an honest mechanic who isn't looking to make a fast buck while pulling the wool over your eyes. He was recently very helpful after buying a used truck that had problems the first day I had it. He worked with the dealer to get it all fixed and was honest about what had and hadn't been done on it. I will go here always. book ahead they stay busy. read more

UPDATE! On Tuesday 06-30-205, at 1330 PM I returned to Midas at the store owners other location in Castle Rock at 742 Casteton Road, to have there tech look at my car. I approached the owner in the front lobby and she had me sign the form to allow permission for her Midas staff to operate my car. I did not sign this form on my original oil change when they took my car off grounds for ten minutes with white smoke coming out. At approximately 1340 the tech pulled my 2013 Nissan Versa in the bay and instructed me to come to the car. He pulled the air filter box open and observed oil still in the air box and stated "ya I see oil in here". He then got a cleaner and cleaned it out. He then pulled the dip stick out and stated "Ya its a little high". I asked the tech if he should drain it and conduct a proper oil change he states "you should be ok its just a tad bit full, maybe a pint full". The oil was approximately 2 CM over the full line. Nissan service manual states the oil should be half way between the L and the H line not above it at all. I then proceeded to the front lobby and asked the owner to document the discrepancies noted on a Midas form. She hand filled a form out noting that her tech in fact stated the oil was full and there was oil in the air filter box. She then handed me a free oil change for my next service which I declined. Midas yet again failed to make this right and in fact did not even offer to do a correct oil change. I am demanding this gets fixed and have now retained legal. I demanded a refund and I am waiting for a check, however if there is any terms and conditions with this check I will not cash it. read more

STAY AWAY! Went in with a coupon for a tire rotation and an oil change for $24.99. I was told it would be 45 minutes to get it done. I walked to the library......a few minutes away and my phone rings. "Hurry on back we need to talk about your vehicle immediately." I told them to finish the tire rotation and the oil change. "Oh, we must talk before we finish." I said finish the oil change and tire rotation and I will talk to you when I get there. "You have unusual tire wear and you need new springs!" (For a bag full of money). I expected the upsell, but this was ridiculous. I told them, "No thank you." It took the guy forever to get my bill ready. "He said, here you go, you owe us $49.95." I laughed at him. I said I am paying $24.99 plus tax and that is it." He replied, "We did the high mileage oil change that costs $39.95." I said, "Good for you, but I am paying $24.99, plus tax. He was totally freaked out and flabbergasted. I paid just $24.99 and walked out. The coupon is staring him in the face and he asks for $20.00 more! Get real! STAY AWAY!
