I am not surprised that this Midas has an average of a 2.5 star rating. Their service and customer facing service is an unfortunate reality for the Castle Rock community. I'll spare the details of our long story and summarize this review by stating I'm giving 2 stars only because the manager, Luke, on duty waved the $40 service fee for the replacement tire that was under warranty. I will give them credit for the attempted half-genuine apology of, "we are sorry this inconvenienced you." When I asked in return what he would rate his company based on our family's experience he responded "4 out of 5 stars" and that right there is the problem. If you need tire services in Castle Rock, I would recommend Discount Tire off of Founders and if you need any other services I would refer you to Wessbecker Automotive. Before taking your vehicle to Midas, I recommend investing in an electric bike. read more

Leaving one star because I requested an appointment online and received an email stating, "We'll get back to you within 30 minutes about the status of your request." I submitted my request at 11 AM and never heard back, so I called around 2 PM. That's when I was told they wouldn't take my car because it "didn't align with their schedule," since I couldn't bring it in before 5 PM. When submitting the request online, I was asked to select a timeframe that worked best for me, and I chose between 5-6 PM--only to be told afterward that this was too late. If that timeframe isn't actually available, it shouldn't be an option on the request form. read more

I had service done on a Friday at 3pm, and the team initially did a great job. They even stayed late to resolve an issue they found, which I appreciated. When I noticed the windshield wipers hadn't been plugged back in, I returned and the employees handled it quickly and professionally. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn when the owner began yelling expletives at his employees while customers were present. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially considering how hard the staff was working. Because of that behavior, I won't be returning. I have additional work that needs to be done, but I'll be taking it elsewhere. read more

Besides oil change the staff came to me with many outrageous problems with my vehicle,ie front end needs replacing, frame needed work???? Suspension work? The manager threaten to kick my ass since i refused to go along with their scam. Crooked business. Terrible workmanship. Took my truck to get front breaks. $1700 later, breaks are squealing (already took it back once to get fixed) like a stuck pig. Truck dives hard to the left when breaking. No accountability. Tried taking my daughter's car there and they were trying to overcharge her for warranty work to a tune if $478. When questioned, no response. Pure panic. I will NEVER go back. They are supposed to be the subject matter experts. Can't trust anything they say. Very disappointed. Our vehicle had a radiator flush and an oil change, after picking it up the check engine light came on, we took it to an Autozone to understand the error code. It was an O2 sensor code. An hour later it was was on the side of the road with the radiator cap blown off. After having it towed back to Midas they siad there was an oil leak. While trying to explain it was towed in because of a clear radiator issue, I was talked over and eventually yelled at without ever getting the basic point across. Now we are paying for a tow to a capable shop. I won't use this shop again. I suggest you do not either. read more

yeah, hi, I'm telling everybody do not go to this Midas on Plum Creek over there. Those guys don't know what they're doing. I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. I think it has something noise the rack and pinion those guys couldn't find a stuck in their ass and Luke told me to bring it back today and they put it in the bay didn't even open the hood didn't raise it off the ground. They didn't do anything. So don't ever go back there does it the second time I've been back there the first time sucked. Also I should've never gone back. Never gone back. read more

This Midas location was open and able to book my vehicle for an oil and filter change on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Easy in, easy out... about 30-45 minutes total. Also needed a new air filter. Friendly, professional manager, assistant manager, and technician. Kindly checked my catalytic converter status per my request. Helpful in providing directions to the nearest emissions testing station. Passed without a hitch! read more

High: they gave me a discount that I didn't even know about and automatically applied it without informing me. I was supposed to pay $40 for an oil change but they had a coupon for $30 instead and they applied it which I found out when I left and was reading the receipt. Low: while my car was being worked on, I got a call asking for I wanted to change the cabin air filter and car air filter both at a high price (which I didn't know about until I looked it up later). What got me was that on the receipt, they said that they charged $0 for labor cost and all of it was the item cost which I believe isn't true because I looked it up with the specific item number and it was $15 cheaper than what the receipt had. Conclusion: Oil change is great! But for other things, check the price online and do your own research before agreeing to their pitch. read more

Was forced to go back after they replaced a part and damaged something else that caused my car to break down 3 nights later. After getting my car towed here and them fixing the damage they caused, I called to see about something else they had said they would do but didn't. I was given x amount of free oil changes as compensation for the issue. Our phone conversation went pretty sour for the mere fact that I was even calling. I was told they went above and beyond and received a few personal digs at how I wasn't being understanding and should be grateful.. I can do without some free oil changes. Being treated fairly is what actually matters. Unfortunate that I won't get to take advantage of those free oil changes as they have lost my business. I wish I could give them 0 stars! I took my car to 2 different locations, both in Castle Rock. Plum Creek replaced my breaks a year and a half ago and they're already at 1mm and I had to pay another shop to replace them again. This is after driving less than 20,000 miles. Castleton replaced my oil pan gasket a year and a half ago and guess what, it's already at a level 2 leak! When I called, the manager said he would contact the owner because even though it is past their warranty, this didn't seem right and he would see what he could do. It's been a week and a half and they haven't called me so I just asked my husband to call and they told him there's nothing they can do. This place (these places) are a joke, the owner is money hungry and they cause more problems than they fix. Don't spend your time or money, there are many better options out there who really guarantee their work and fix issues, affordably! read more

Luke was fantastic! He quoted me a very reasonable price for tires, alignment and oil change. And,...it gets better! His team fixed a bent rim, fixed a flat spare, checked brakes and suspension system,...and Luke also worked on resetting my navigation system. These guys go above and beyond! I would recommend them to anyone! I have read a few of the previous reviews (not very good). I know Luke said he was brought up from the Springs only a few months ago (where he worked for many years). I think I know why their ratings are so low and they were advertising on Groupon. Heed this warning They have absolutely horrible service in all aspects of that word. And their wonderful service also caused us to blow the engine in a car we've only owned a year. Stupid us for getting the Groupon cause their service advisors who work on commission, get soooo pushy if you don't get all these extra services like changing the air filter. With how they were acting that day, I can only assume what followed was payback for only getting the oil change and nothing else. We took our 2015 Subaru in on October 30, 2023. See normally we'd change our own oil but my fiancé just had his first back surgery in April and I've had 2 of my own that left me semi disabled and we're in our 30s, so trust us if it wasn't a current physical limitation, we wouldn't have even went there. I wish we hadn't because either they poured oil all over our engine compartment and in every nook and cranny along with leaving the oil filter loose on purpose or somebody doesn't need to be touching any car, much less performing a simple oil change. Did you not have a funnel? Like what happened? And who was so lazy they didn't bother even telling us so we just thought our engine was going to blow up, which had I not caught the loose oil filter we probably would have eventually blown a head gasket. I mean my 4 year old could have done a better job so I can't see how a "professional establishment" can't do a simple oil change. Luckily we've only driven it 2 times since the oil change and it seems to only be 2 quarts low, but you can be assured we're having a mechanic take a look at it to make sure they didn't mess anything else up. This is our warning to others, unless you want your car in a real mechanic's shop, steer clear of this place. I've added pictures and will try to add video of the oil I've been cleaning out of every compartment I can reach without removing my intake. We are contacting Groupon and a lawyer, one good thing of my fiancé being on workers comp after his back surgery and injury is he's gotten really cool with his lawyer handling that, this is another area this lawyer handles on a contingency basis. There are very few times that I have felt compelled to write a complaint about a manager of a business but this is one of them. I went onto the Midas website for the Castle Rock, CO location to schedule an oil change for my car.  I selected 10:00 am this Saturday.  I received an email within in a couple of minutes stating that I would receive a confirmation within 30 minutes.  Four hours later, still no response. I called the store and got a person named Luke.  He explained that he is the only person on the desk and is short-handed in the garage.  The time I requested, 10:00 am, was not available, but 1:00 pm was available.  I asked him why he did not take down the order taking part of the website and have everyone call the store?  He got very upset and hung-up.  I called him back to set an appointment for 1:00 PM, he became very annoyed because of the suggestion I made about the website order taking and hung up again.  I called back once again to let him know that I had a discount certificate my wife purchased and I just wanted to use it.  He then explained that he did not want my business.  I told him I just wanted to use the certificate, he said he did not care.  I asked if he would refund the money for the certificate and he said no.  I then asked the name of the manager of the store and he said that he was!  I was shocked.  It seems like he is a little over his head. Buyer Beware Accidents Happen I had an oil change done by Midas, five days later, the oil filter came loose and my car spilled six quarts of oil all up the street, up my driveway and partially in my garage. The tow truck driver checked out the filter and told me - yes, that is the problem. Midas gave me a new oil change. After I researched the best way to clean oil off concrete, I told Midas, they were going to reimburse me for the chemicals I needed to buy to clean up my drive. They asked if they could have a chance to clean it first - I said - sure. They were supposed to use a degreaser and pressure washer. I had already ready, a pressure washer would push oil further into concrete and hamper the chemical from doing the best job. I told Midas, I only wanted them to test clean a small strip (in the street). The first appointment date/time for cleaning, came and went (airline flight issues I was told). The second cleaning date came and went (staffing issues I was told). I had already cleaned my 45 foot driveway with the chemical I bought - it worked perfectly. The third date/time came - and he was only 30+ minutes delayed. When he arrived, I told him, I wanted him to do the 12 inch strip on the street, and some of the asphalt also with the degreaser and power washer. He stated, oh, I did not bring a power washer, nobody told me about that. He sprayed degreaser on the driveway, and little section of street, and asphalt and pulled out his mop and bucket and proceeded to mop it all down. The mop left all kinds of mop residue on the driveway - which he promised to come back after work to clean up - it never happened. I power washed it myself two days later. The following day (9:00 AM) I went to Midas, asked if he got my receipts - yes, I am waiting to get cash in my drawer to refund you. No call that day. No call the next day. I went up there the 3rd day at 9:00 AM. I was told, he has my invoice, and is just waiting for cash in the drawer. End of day - still no word/phone call. I will pursue via other methods. The worst part of the adventure - is the lack of customer service - not just by the store manager - but by the worker who came to my house. i have a Buick Envison. I requested a tire rotation and synthetic oil change. They first tried to charge me $101!!! I I complained and they took $25 off. but their sign clearly says $39.99 for synthetic oil change and tire rotation is $20... they charged me because with was a single woman and thought I'd just go with it. now I find out that they charge $69.99 (listed online) that includes a tire rotation and found a $20 coupon... I normally don't leave reviews for places other than restaurants, but this place deserves recognition for their great employees and customer service! I scheduled a last minute oil change and also asked them to take a quick look at what was making my car loud when I had accidentally run over a large rock earlier that morning. First off, there are two locations in Castle Rock, and I went to the wrong one that I was scheduled for, but they were super understanding and accommodating. Paul and Luke at the front were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Brandon, who I believe was one of the technicians, provided solid information and advice on how to address the issue with the car, which turned out to be a broken exhaust bracket. (Doh!) They were so fast and efficient in changing my oil. Best of all, they were honest and didn't try to upsell me on anything. (Honestly, upselling me on things is my number one pet peeve). They did a courtesy check of my vehicle and afterwards, gave me the report with no pressure at all to service other areas. Thank you all for the good experience-especially in a stressful situation where I wasn't able to pinpoint what happened to my car after running over the rock. Had the oil changed on my Tacoma and asked to have the u joints greased. I check the oil level when I got home and it was a quart low and the u joints not greased. Very disappointed and wonder if it has something to do with not having them do the addition $3500 of work they recommended! read more

I've never paid more than $30 for an oil change, but I paid nearly $50 for the basic service! They didn't do any "Midas" checks and the overall experience was awful. They first started by saying there was only one person working when CLEARLY there was someone working on a car in the garage. Then after over an hour, they came back with the $40+ tax and fees price tag, a notice that my oil was leaking (IT ISNT!) and NO customer service. He did not offer to fix my oil "leak" and did not provide any sort of instruction for maintenance. I also had downloaded a Midas coupon and was told they could not accept it unless it was printed. Are you joking?? The coupon had an "add to wallet" option and also was for Colorado locations!!! Will never be back. read more

First, let me say that everyone at the shop that I encountered is very friendly. Unfortunately, I was taking my car in for a brake check because it was shuddering when I stopped, especially from high speeds. I am a younger woman who clearly (from the way that I explained the problem) knows nothing about cars. They called me back the same afternoon to tell me that everything on my front brakes needed replaced - brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake fluid. Plus my back brakes could use new drums. To the tune of $1000. For a car that is only a few years old, I was pretty upset that my brakes were completely destroyed. Turns out they weren't. Luckily, my neighbor used to be a mechanic and he took a look at them. The only thing that needed replaced was the front rotor on each side. I purchased them from an auto parts store for $60 total and it took him about 30 minutes. My brakes feel perfect now. The brake pads will need replaced sometime in the near future, but they still had enough thickness to keep them on for a while. And my calipers were fine. I don't like to believe that they were completely dishonest. I am sure that everything isn't perfect on my front brakes. But on the phone, they led me to believe my brakes were completely destroyed and I HAD to get everything done right away. I'm glad I didn't. Just beware when you get an estimate, especially if you don't know a ton about cars. read more

Where to begin, I took my car to this shop for a diagnostic since my car wouldn't start which cost $100 despite what they tell you. Needed a new fuel pump and a MAF, at this point I was thinking "My MAF was fine" and the wanted to gouge me for that so I told them do the pump at a ridiculous price of $550. Get a call saying it's done, couple hours later my wife gets a call from Castle Rock PD saying it's abandoned on the side of the road..... WTF! Of course I call them and they said it died and are getting it back to the shop. Couple hours later I call and they say that are doing a "minor repair" but wouldn't elaborate. Pick it up that evening and the lady at the front counter says I need a fuel pump hanger (the fuel pump/hanger is one piece in my car) and that I should be careful going over bumps as the pump might loose connection but "It should be fine, I took it on a long test drive" So I spent $550 (they were "kind" enough to knock $30 of their ridiculous diagnostic price when most shops waive it if you get work done) on a car that while it runs may go out at any moment. I get it home and go over everything and wow..... They lost the cover off my diagnostic port (OBD1), removed the clips that hold my spark plug wires out of the way, MAF plug in was busted up, one of the wires was not plugged in to the cap all the way and they had the wires wrapped around my clutch cable and resting on the radiator hose and of course they deny everything. I did a complete tune-up the day before and had be OCD about having everything in place. Avoid at all costs, I've had good experiences at Midas shops but this one price gouges and has very little clue what they are doing. read more

After not being treated very kindly at another tire place across the street, I went to Midas and was greeted with utmost kindness and truthfulness. Ron And Chrissy took my tire off and put my spare on so I could get the truck to the dealership to get the tire replaced. My sister took her car in to have brakes put on. And the vehicle has more problems then it had when she dropped it off!!! She has tried to talk to the manager at the store he doesn't seem to care. Drove my car there to have a front axle fixed on a Manuel transmission. They put the wrong axle in for an automatic, Forcing it in in turn disturbing the transmission, so they messed up axle, destroyed transmission, master slave cylinder on clutch and tried towing it out of their shop by the radiator!! They also stole items out of the car. They have denied all wrong doing! Dealing With corporate now. I had to have car towed off of their lot to another mechanic so he could take pics of the damage! The owner Sherry denies everything saying, "They've been in business 25 years" ! What a joke!! If corporate doesn't make right, I will be contacting a lawyer!!
