Great place. Friendly service. Fair prices. Brought in my Subaru Impreza after the radiator hose blew up on the interstate. They worked it in to their busy workday and replaced the radiator and hose. While testing it out, they noticed that the brakes were starting to shudder, and recommended I have them replaced as soon as possible. I had that added to my work ticket as well. We dropped off our Acura MDX for a timing belt, oil pan and oil pump seal (the cost $2200) on Wednesday 1/18 in the late afternoon about 4:30pm (they close at 5:30pm). We received a call the next morning from the Douglas County Sheriff's office stating that our car had the catalytic converter stolen from it overnight in the parking lot of Highlands Ranch Imports. HRI had filed a police report on our vehicle as well as a few others that had their vehicles broken into/stolen parts as well. The officer informed us that the shop owner, John, had valued the stolen part for our car at $5200 (that was including repairs/labor). Since we heard the news from the Sheriff's office & not HRI, we immediately called HRI several times to find out what had happened and how to proceed. They didn't answer our calls after many attempts. About an hour and a half or so later, they finally answered and all John could say was that this was a public parking lot and he is not responsible for what happens in a public parking lot. & he went on to say that his wife's car was one of the cars that had her catalytic converter stolen as well as a jeep & all he could say was sorry and we'd have to go through our own insurance to file a claim on our car. We asked him, doesn't he have insurance on his business that should cover the vehicles left in his care and he stated he was waiting on them to get back with him. We called our insurance to inform them of the situation and our insurance said that if we filed a claim that they would go after the shop for liability since the car was in their possession/care/responsibility. Hours later, John calls us saying that he is going to take care of the catalytic converter himself without his insurance. He again apologized and said our car should've been pulled into their garage but he wanted to leave early that night due to the snowstorm so they left the car outside in the lot, which they shouldn't have. We appreciated him doing the right thing by taking care of that, as we felt he should. He then tells us the car will be ready on Friday 1/20 or Monday 1/23. Friday, no call. Monday, no call. Tuesday, no call. Wednesday, no call. We call him and he says he needs to keep it overnight as he's just taken it for a test drive and was concerned about the power steering but the car would be ready in the morning on Thursday. Thursday 1/26, no call. Again, we call him at 4:30 and he finally says the car is ready. So they had the car 9 days and never called us to update us and we had to call them repeatedly. The car was supposed to be ready in 3 days and it took 9 with us hunting them down. WOW!! What a professional way to run a business!! So, not only will your car be left in a "public" parking lot that they may/or may not take responsibility for but they will not update you on the status of your vehicle unless you call them repeatedly. When we went to go pick up the car his associate, Pat, started arguing with us saying that they didn't have to take responsibility of the stolen catalytic converter and we should've filed our own claim with our insurance. I informed him that our insurance did say that they would go after the shop for liability but the man continued to be rude and argue saying go ahead and file a claim against us then. ... So if you want parts stolen from your car or very rude unprofessional service, then take your car here. But ... If you don't want your car left unsafe in a "public" lot with rude shop owners being unprofessional arguing with you and never calling to update you on your vehicle.... Then STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!! 0 stars!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Buyer BEWARE. The ego here is too big for their britches plus experienced lots of pushback about some repairs I needed. As soon as I walk in the door, they said that they're slammed, so I explained that I made this appointment a week ago in good faith. I went in for a rough engine idle issue while the AC was engaged. So, while I was away from the shop I get this call explaining everything from exhaust brackets to heat shield were loose which can cause noise. Then they all the mounts need to be replaced. Back at the shop, told I need all my engine mounts changed out. I mention that they were all changed out very recently. Then they try to confuse me on how many mounts I actually have, including trans mounts. I'm familiar with mounts vs trans mounts, so that didn't jive. I also had one trans mounts changed out. Finally after going back and forth 6 times according to this clown, I finally got a straight answer, that the they would do the trans mounts after I get the front mount (RE)done, which is under warranty at another shop. So, I head to the shop that did my front mount. They said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and that I was trying to be taken with unnecessary repairs. Bottom line is they weren't honest and can't be trusted. Anyone have a match and $60 dollars? ..cause you might as well burn your money instead of coming here to receive bogus, argumentative and deceitful sales tactics. I should of just got a roll of money and lit it on fire instead of waiting a full week plus a few hours of my time to come here. It would of saved me lots of aggravation. read more

Dealing with Matt at the front desk. He needs some customer service training. They have done a decent job in the past but called to say the car was ready after fixing a couple of belts. We go to pick it up on a Friday midday and it won't start. Now it won't be looked at until Monday. I'd have been embarrassed telling the customer to come pick up a car that won't start and I'd look at it right away instead of keeping the car over the weekend. These guys did a great job, fit me in same day and were able to get my battery replaced with an OEM battery from the dealer. They also discovered an issue with a part I recently had replaced at another shop, that I was able to get fixed thanks to them! If you're able to sit and wait for your car or can get a ride this place is good, their prices are really competative, check them out with your next repair to get a quote! One thing I wasn't happy about was they ran a diagnostic on my car, but didn't finish going through all the error codes or figure out what was wrong. They said they ran out of time, but they charged me for the test anyway and gave me a quote to complete the test, and finish going through the error codes that came up to figure out what's wrong. The diagnostic test should include the complete test of going through all the error codes that come up to figure out what's wrong, and diagnose the problem if they can. read more

I came I to there shop on Wednesday afternoon. I asked if they were appointment only and they replied yes. But they also said that they could squeeze me in Friday morning. I told them I'd call back just to make sure that I could get a ride to and from work since they wanted my car all day. Later I called them back, but they didn't answer so I left a voicemail with my contact info saying that I could use the Friday morning appointment. Then Friday comes around and I drive all the way out there just to find out that they gave my appointment to somebody else and they never listened to my voicemail. So I don't recommend them, just the poor customer service is enough for me to never go back there. read more

So I pulled up with a nail in my tire, and they told me they would take care of it for $17.50, but if I came back when I need tires they would give to me no charge. Then after waiting an hour they pulled my car off the rack and said they couldn't fix the tire and less I replace the front two tires even though the whole was in one of my rear tires they couldn't fix the flat in my rear tire and less I replace front two tires. What a joke, the whole bait and switch crap is really sad because I'm a guy and there trying to pull one over on me, can you imagine what they're doing to all the women out there. read more

I have an older model Toyota Camry that I have taken to Highlands Ranch Imports for at least 10 years. Recently had a timing belt, water pump, o-rings, lube pump gaskets replaces. Car ran great but it appeared that a gasket or o-ring may have been pinched and a minor leak existed. Car was off to college for year before really discovering the issue. Highlands Ranch Imports examined the car when back in town and fixed the problem under warranty. After using for so many years once in a while something like this is bound to happen. Terrible work, and even worse customer service from John (who is the manager). I'm very mechanically inclined and typically do my own auto work, but I simply don't have the time these days for certain repair jobs. My car needed a new clutch (and nothing else, everything else was perfect), so I found this shop and gave them a shot based on all the great reviews. The initial repair was pretty straight forward and took 4 days. Unfortunately when I picked up my car it had new issues that weren't present before, and the shop admitted they were directly related to the work done incorrectly by the shop. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I brought it back in to have them fix the new issues they created. Long story short, my car was in and out of this place 3 more times back to back, and I didn't have a functioning car for an entire month. I also had no follow up from them, and I had to keep calling every few days asking for a status update as to what the heck was going on with my car. I even told John what the problem likely was, but he just kept scratching his head saying he didn't know what the issue was... not the reassurance you want to hear from a shop that's screwed up your car. I finally ended up just repairing the car myself and fixing the problems (spoiler alert: the solution was exactly what I told John to try), so all is good with my car now. The money spent having the shop try to repair my car to save me time was essentially a waste since I ultimately had to do it myself. They offer a 1yr warranty on parts and service, but that's worthless when the repair guys are clueless. The only bright spot for this business is that Chad, the guy working the desk, was pretty friendly... but that only gets you so far. read more

This is the best mechanic I've been to in Colorado. Without a doubt the most honest auto repair shop and I can say that from experience. Recently took my 2009 BMW 535i there for new spark plugs. Schomp BMW quoted me almost $500 for parts and labor. I called Pat, who is one of the most respectful and truly nice people I've ever talked to in the industry, and he quoted me $309 for the work. Dropped my car off at night after they were closed, filled out the service envelope where you seal your key in, and then the next day at noon he called me to let me know my car was ready. For $309, they changed my spark plugs, patched my front right tire which they found a screw in, and even offered a free oil change since my service charge was over $200. The best part about this shop I've experienced is that they only repair what needs to be fixed along with giving you an honest evaluation of your car and what future service you may need. They don't take advantage of their customers like most mechanics do. Last year my radiator was leaking so I dropped it off here to have them take a look at it. At first glance, it looked like there was damage to the radiator from normal ware and tear plus so rock debris. I agreed to pay for a new radiator, which with parts and labor was a little over $1000. A few hours later Pat called to inform me that when they were in the process of pulling out the old radiator, they noticed the leak was coming from a bad seal. They replaced the seal, flushed the radiator, drove it around, and made the decision the radiator didn't need to be replaced saving me over $1000! Now try to name me a mechanic who would do something like that! Any other place would have just replaced the radiator, made their money, and gone about their business. I'll never take my BMW anywhere else. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate this shop and their honesty. read more
