I've been a loyal customer of this Midas location, spending thousands on repairs and maintenance. Initially, the service was outstanding, with knowledgeable staff, excellent communication, and quality work. Even as the team changed, I still had good experiences, though pricing started to feel inflated. (using the most expensive version of parts they could etc.) However, my most recent visit was beyond frustrating. My car was brought in on a Friday evening due to flashing dashboard lights. I was assured it would be fixed by Saturday. By 2 PM Saturday, I still hadn't received an update, so I had to call them myself. I was reassured it would be ready that day. By 5 PM, still no call, so I called again. No answer. I called at 5:30 and was put on hold for ten minutes. Finally, as my friend was driving me to the shop, I called a third time, and only then was I told, "We were just about to call you." The delays continued into Monday with zero proactive communication. I had to call again in the late afternoon only to be told they needed my car for another day. By Tuesday, after yet another call from me, it was finally ready. I understand being short-staffed due to unforeseen circumstances, but that does not excuse the complete lack of communication. As a single mother with one car and a full-time job, I rely on timely updates so I can plan accordingly. The complete disregard for customer communication, especially from a long-time customer, is unacceptable. Something seems really sketchy with how this shop is run, plus the constant overturn of staff is concerning. I won't be returning. read more

My husband went in for a coolant leak on the hose 10-07-2025 to get it fixed. The guy that was helping my husband comes back to tell him he needs a new thermostat($153) because the coolant spilled all over the thermostat , housing($296) but also including the coolant hose($480) and labor ($706) The price came be $1,483 but to top it off the guy told my husband our battery was bad so we should replace it which brings us to $1,900 . My husband lets him know that he does the have the funds for all these needs for the car, so the guy said " i can give you some discounts and see were it comes to" which brings us to $1189 because me and my husband weren't worried about the $260 battery he was charging... my husband decided to take the car home and check out the thermostat himself something he was unaware of , turns out there was no coolant leaking on the thermostat It was oil from a previous oil change that spilled including housing was completely fine . They tried to scam us out of almost $2000 !!!! read more

Should have read the reviews before spending $1200 on breaks and rotor. Is actually a 90 day warranty if you want your labor to cost nothing. Asked to just get the break pads because they have a warranty and call it even I was told they don't do that. $300 for $69.00 break pads is a rip off. Shame on me. Won't fool me again. read more

The only reason I took my 90 year old mothers car back here is because I've brought it there before and had no issues at all with the service. Different issue and all different people working there now equates to incompetence, I'm still dealing with my bank and I'll also be contacting corporate because generally when you take a vehicle in for a leak, they find the leak and repair it, well it's still leaking and has never stop but you have my $539.66...stealing from a 90 year old....karma! read more

Worst repair shop I think I've ever heard of. Had my sons truck for over a month! he had to bring it back once and then refuse to pick it up the third time. They finally get it fixed correctly and my thought is they should give him back over HALF of the $1200 in LABOR they originally charged him the first "fix". Had several issues with the manager and his explanations of what was going on with the vehicle. Turns out he was just repeating what the ignorant mechanic said, he never looked and saw for himself. I have 3 small children so I have a minivan. It suffered a "very common problem" and was overheating. I have a warranty for it with a $100 deductible. In their first submission my part (after warranty payment) was $788+my $100 deductible! Finally they said $391 TOTAL but when I got the bill it was $491. They said the warranty co failed to pay the amount agreed on! ‍ #lies When the manager called me at 5:15PM she was very unprofessional & rude and wasn't helping at all so I said "Ill just pick it up in the morning" because my wife was on shift at the hospital . This woman then actually said "we are not a storage facility so Ill have to add $75!!" I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! They overcharge you on parts AND labor and then when you ask them why they talk to you like garbage and tack on even MORE money! read more

This one the worst rip off shops ever... Don't do business with these people they lie like politician's. The life time warranty is a joke it is a 90 day warranty at best. They up sell you paid 1400.00 for front brakes in less than a years brakes made a horrible noise. Took truck back in today at the Riverside location in Clarksville TN only to be told that it would now cost 1700.00 on my lifetime warranty brakes. And to be told they don't cover a commercial vehicle when they installed them on the same vehicle. Midas on riverside drive. Probably one of the worst business I've ever been to. If I could give negative stars I would. Went in for some service on my vehicle and thought it would be like every other Midas in the country, to my surprise it's not. The lady working the front counter was extremely rude and unhelpful, not just to me but other customers as well. She was actively antagonizing one customer while gate keeping her bosses information from me and that other customer who wanted to file a complaint about her. I want to thank the lovely people at this Midas location for their excellent, honest service. I needed an oil change but noticed my car was shuddering at a cold start. I explained the issue to the gentleman at the front desk. He suggested I may need a tune-up with my spark plugs. I agreed to the work and he pulled me aside about 15 minutes later explaining that my spark plugs looked fine and suggested we fix a belt instead. He did not charge me for the spark plugs or the labor. I am so thankful for such honest service. I will be back. read more

Whatever you do please avoid this location at all cost. If you are forced to use this location please video your interactions with any managers or service technicians for your own legal well being. My car was damaged while in their possession and the manager denied any liability. I took my case to corporate but as there is no video proof of anything it is he said she said at this point. I paid to have the part that was broken fixed and have avoided this location since. Learn from my mistake and go elsewhere please. read more

Not only leaving a leak but left my car driving worse then when I took it! I tried to tell the GM and they took no responsibility and wanted me to pay MORE money for there mess up. The MIDAS ON RIVERSIDE is a bunch of CROOKS! I took my car to them to check on a noise and they tell me my engine is knocking just monitor it. I got a second Opinion an the engine was fine because the noise came from a bad ac pulley. Midas is close to my home so I took it back to them an told them what was found. Midas on riverside said ok I see it's the ac compressor now lol. I debated on going back their but I did. I let them do the work. They charged me $1200 to change my ac compressor that's with charging it up also, two days later no heat in my car so I put my car on ramps an found the leak an showed them the issue, okay Mr Turner we found the leak an I guess they fixed it. I didn't check to see if it was fixed since I just paid $1200! I asked them to reset my Tire pressure sensor, okay Mr Turner we found a problem? You have a electrical issue so it will cost you $150 an hour to troubleshoot this issue. I had my Mechanic friend reset them just fine smh, Midas on Riverside (CROOKS). This 60 degree day we just had I turned on my AC on for the first time it's blowing 86 degrees from the vents an I have my AC set to 60, NO AC. I took it back to Midas on riverside side, okay Mr Turner we found leaking hoses to the condenser that run to the AC. I asked to look an they said sure this will cost $800 to fix this issue. I looked an didn't see the same thing so I said I have to go. I went home an checked on these hoses that they said were leaking an the hose wasn't leaking at all, the $5 straps needed replacing only so I replaced them myself and charged the AC up. Hey no leaks at all now my AC is blowing super cold with my complaint's! They're not getting enough work so they're making work by lying to the customers! I hope this helps you. As a consumer, you want to trust that the professional will give you honest information. I did not get that from Midas. I took my car here on 04/09/2022 due to leaking coolant and running hot. Midas told me initially that the car was holding pressure, but they wanted to change the radiator because I added KSEAL to it the day prior, and that copper was not good for the radiator. I trusted they knew because they are the professionals, they encouraged me to get a loan from Snap Finance for $1995.76 (AFFILIATE PROGRAM, THEY GET A KICKBACK). When I arrived to pick my car up, I checked the fluid levels, and the mechanic stated that his partner forgot to put fluid in it; again, I trusted their word. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived home, the car had run hot and continued to leak coolant. I immediately contacted Midas; they stated I would have to come back on Monday because they were walking out the door and not open on Sundays. I had no other option, but to take and get it looked at, as I just signed off on a loan that could cost $5,000 if not paid within a certain amount of time. I was then told by another mechanic that just looked under the car that it was the water pump or a hose and that there's no way they checked my car thoroughly, that they were trying to get me to purchase a radiator. On Monday, I take it back to Midas, where I say exactly what the other mechanic stated and what do you know, it's the water pump where I had to pay AN ADDITIONAL $641.26 in cash to get fixed. My concern is that they may be encouraging consumers to get these outrageous, bogus loans on services not needed, and it does not fix the problem. I requested my original radiator and water pump back, where I took the radiator to have it checked on Kraft St b another Mechanic, and what do you know, there was nothing wrong with my radiator in the first place. I know that sometimes we all have instances where we may have to require additional funding to get certain things, but at this Midas, they are really on a close line to assisting in PREDATORY LENDING. I would have rather just paid the correct amount on Saturday, $641.26, instead of signing off for a loan that I did not need. read more

I called today for a quote on tie-rod replacement. The person who answered referred to himself as Sr. After giving my name for the quote he asked for my phone number. I asked was that necessary for a quote? He said I would need the number to call you back with the quote, if you have a problem with that go elsewhere" then hung up on me. All I did was ask if it was necessary, and gave no attitude, but received some in return. I have never been there. And assuredly they will never get any of my business. All he had to do was state that he would have to call back with the quote. It's a wonder they are in business at all with that type of attitude. Take my advice, go elsewhere. Surely if there is a problem, they won't correct it or stand behind their work. read more

This location is terrible. They had my vehicle for three weeks and the clutch was not replaced, which was the problem. The location was under staffed when I dropped the vehicle off to be repaired. The staff acted as if I was an inconvenience, and after two weeks when I physically came down to the location to see what the problem was. I was informed that the location did not have the tools to conduct the service and had not even requested the motor hoist from the district manager. When I did receive my vehicle the battery was dead, and the windows were down. The staff didn't even try to charge the battery to put the windows up. As I was sitting at the location waiting for a tow truck I witness the only mechanic that is working at this location get into a Customers vehicle while smoking a cigarette. I used to bring all my vehicles to this location, well not anymore and never Midas again. read more

Absolutely poor work. Took forever for the work to get done. When they finally let me have my car back, I drove off the lot and turned right back around. I went to get my rear brakes replaced and my entire car was shaking violently afterwards. The mechanic, obviously hoping to go home soon said that it was totally normal and that there was nothing for him to fix. I drove home, upset that I would have to come back the next day and talk to someone else about the violently shaking car that did not used to shake. It felt like one of my tires was about to fall off. Well, one of my tires WAS about to fall off. If you work on cars for a living, HOW THE HELL DO YOU FORGET TO TIGHTEN THE LUGNUTS??? Well, I tightened the lugnuts but the car still shook violently. Not willing to risk my life by handing over the keys to my car to a bunch of lazy and incompetent "mechanics" I took my car to Gateway tire. The mechanics at Gateway (who have ALWAYS done right by me) told me that the rear brakes were installed incorrectly and that the act of driving the 2 miles from my house to Gateway had completely warped the drum for the rear brake. Lucky who checked my brakes...said I didn't need them replace. Wow, a honest mechanic...hard to find these days. Lucky was very friendly and didn't mind explaining to me what I really needed. Paid for rotor and brake installation. A faulty caliper was identified, but not brought to my attention until after the installation was complete and I was walking out the door. I want to thank Danielle, Bryan, Jordan and lucky for their excellent customer service and ability to evaluate and fix the issue with my 2011 Charger. I had shaking as I was driving and when braking at speeds of 30-60mph. I originally went to the Dodge dealership and they told me that I needed new front brakes, new rotors and struts with an estimated cost of $1100. I decided to have a second opinion done at Midas and we determined that all I needed to do was re-surface my rotors and pads. They also determined that my Lugnuts were not put on my tires all the way and stripped and I had to buy six new Lugnuts. When i gave the goahead to do the resurfacing they even brought me my brake pads to show me they were over 65%, meaning still good to go. Total to fix the car was about $270 compared to what Dodge wanted. I have driven approximately 1,000 miles since this fix and the car is working just fine. No shaking or issues braking.
