If Midas offers oil change and tire rotation with a big sign out front saying they offer those services. How about you take down the sign stating you offer that instead of wasting my time going in there doing all the paperwork for the guy to tell me he can't do a tire rotation makes absolutely no sense. Don't think I will ever be going back there again. Waste of time. Update: So I received a call on that Tuesday from someone a customer service office to let me know that a district manager or the store manager would be calling me to address the issues that I had over the weekend. Worst customer service ever first I came here to have three bolts on my tranny re tapped so the pan would stop leaking. Well upon leaving my tranny pan fell off.. Yes fell off was not properly re installed and the three bolt hold where never re tapped. Israr took care of it. Then after speaking with corporate management was informed he would have to service my vehicle free of charge. Sweet right. Now up to date call for an oil change to be done today and spoke with the rudest lady ever. If this is what your company does to draw business then screw the customer over then I look forward to the day this place closes. Already reported them to the better business bureau and auto repair bureau. Dont go here they are not worth the hassle! The one in hayward is a lot easier to deal with. This is the by was the worst service I have experience. The manager let me wait for over 20 mins talking on the phone when no one else is in the shop. The mechanic will take they own time, txt message and hide behind and no nothing. Not until I walk out to check on my car. This is the slowest service I been to, I will never go here again. I went to this Midas to get an oil change and a tire rotation. I had a coupon I found online for this to be done. I called and got an appointment the same day, which was the only positive about this experience. They did a review of my van while they were changing the oil. They took me out to see that it needed new brake pads and there was a screw in the tire. I knew it needed brake pads, but wasn't there for that. When I told them that I wasn't doing it, they looked at me like I was stupid. They also told me they would charge me to remove the screw from my tire. I told them to not worry about the screw and just put the tires back on it. As they were checking me out, another worker told me I needed brake pads and tried to pressure me into doing it right then. I hate that! Then I went around the corner to another place who took the screw out of my tire for free. When I got home, I realized they didn't even rotate my tires. They put them on in the same place, which is completely stupid because they were all off the van at some point. I saw them off with my own eyes! read more

I am not sure if I am lucky or what. My personal experience with this shop is not bad at all indeed. I dropped my car and was told to pick hours later and my car got pretty good care with coupon. The staff were nice but cool. The store owner or manager was quite helpful. They did not touch anything else on my car besides what we discussed upfront which I like the most. Went in for an oil change and called my dad for his credit card number so I could pay for it. They then told me that everything in my car needed to be replaced and my transmission needed to be drained, and all kinds of stuff, probably because they assumed my dad would pay for it and I was one of "those" girls. I told them thanks for the oil change, but I'll take it to Toyota. At Toyota they told me that nothing was wrong with my car, except for low windshield wiper fluid which they should have done with my oil change. Won't be using Midas again. read more

And the supervisor at that time a fat white guy, never even bother to help me out. I was left in the parking lot wondering if they will fix my door lock. Poor service.. Not recommended... After having a good experience with my oil change, I drove off and a little while later I get a check engine light. I definitely would have never guessed it was related to my simple oil change from this shop but my mechanic looks at my spark plugs and they were all loose! I know for sure that they were fine before my oil change because I had recently checked them. There was no reason for Midas to touch my spark plugs, but I can't help but think it was them. This place is a total joke. They have no idea what they are doing here. I dropped my car off since Thursday and they still haven't fixed it for 5 days. I have to keep calling and checking up on my car every day instead of them calling me and telling me what is wrong. Everytime I call, they would say oh we don't know what is wrong with it yet, we need to look into it more. For 5 days?! When I brought up the issue their excuse was that they only have ONE person who knows how to fix my car. (cavalier?!) really?! They also wanted to charge me extra 150 for "looking more into the car" which they still couldn't figure out what is wrong. We finally told them we are coming to pick up the car (which we told them a day in advance) when we arrived it still wasn't ready. I will not be bringing my car here ever. This Midas is absolutely terrible. I bring my enterprise van here to get services and they take THE WHOLE DAY just to do a simple routine oil change. They don't offer you a ride home or provide to convenience your wait. Besides that issue, one time I brought it in for another service and the teller straight up told me "we don't service enterprise cars here." After arguing for a brief 5-10 mins he finally looked up my name and BOOM the car that was on file was my enterprise van. Professionalism isn't a high priority here I can tell. I usually don't go out of my way to write these reviews but these ppl are a constant headache and I wouldn't recommend anyone do business here. read more

Well, reviews depends personal experience. And I have experienced one of the best services from this place. I forgot the name of the person who assisted me, but God bless him for saving me some money. So, my 2008 mbz GL 450 needed rear air shocks. And mbz dealer on Automall, Fremont, would charge me $370 just for the diagnosis. And cost about $1k to $1500 for each (4) of the shocks. But I came to this place and got a quote for just the air shocks. It came out to be about $1040. I agreed. About $1370 including the battery. But during repair they found out that the manual shocks also needed replacement and would cost about another $1k. I wasn't prepared to spend this kind of money. But that guy gave me a really good deal and I was out the door with only $2300 cost. That's 4 shocks, a battery and labor. Icing on the cake was when he said that I would get my car tomorrow, but he called me around 5:15 to tell me that it can be picked up today since he himself went and got the part he needed instead of waiting for the vendor to deliver the next morning. It wasn't just about the car at that point, it was about people. He is just an amazing person. They definitely have me as their customer. read more

I have been a customer at ths location for 5 years and I have yet to receive bad service or incur excess charges for any services provided. Watching the interaction between Raffi or his staff with ordinary consumers establishes for anyone watching that there is a deep committment to personalized service as well as providing cost options to meet everyones budget. All of this appears done with a friendly smile and care for your car. In today's dull economy, companies like Midas likely look for ways to economize. That is understandable but Raffy does not compromise in his commitment to customer service care which is a quality much appreciated and not typically observed in most retail store settings these days.. This time while waiting for my car to be done, I also struck up conversations with other customers also having their cars serviced. To the person, there was a genuine appreciation expressed for Raffy's keen ability to be both personable and most helpful in explaining the smallest car repair detail. Dont even think about to go there. I went there for Oil change and tire rotation. They had a deal for 24.99. which also check and fill fluids, clean frond and rear glass, vacuum, belt inspection. I had an appointment at 8 am. I went there, did paper work and gave car key. I asked him the status at 8:45. They havent started working on it. they he said to come next day as I was getting late. he told me to give discount on that. Even though following things were included in that deal, they did not do: 1) fill fluids ( transmission, differential, collant, power steering, window washer) 2) Belt check 3)Visual inspection of break fluids 4) clear front / rear window 5) vacuum floorboards.. mechanic asked his manager(dont know he is a manager or not) to add fluids, but he said no to mechanic. that guy is very rude. He keeps you waiting over there. they try to sell their stuff with big profit. if you refuse to get them, they will not work properly on your car. read more

Few weeks ago had my change oil in this shop, when it's done. Paid the bill and left. The following morning I went to Oakland in on a rush hour, all of a sudden my hood was smoking. I pulled over and my friend checked what's going on, and found oil all over my engine, the pads on the hood was soaking with oil and dripping. Found out that the oil tank was not covered! The cap was sitting at the edge (inside ) of the hood together with a plier that the technician who performed the task forgot to put it back and just left his tool on my vehicle! Technicians did not pay attention. Damaged the panel pads on my hood causing to smoke when engine is hot! Called the manager and reported the incident, told me to come back and replace the oil and gave me note that they will replace the panel pads once they find one! They refer me to some engine cleaner! Called the following day to follow up if they already got the pads and now the rude manager said they will not replace it because "it's too damn expensive" imagine the trouble I went through just because of somebody's negligence. I will never ever go to that shop anymore! Next time you oil change check before leaving their shop! This establishment deserves a "boo" hiring crappy technicians for cheap labor and now costumer suffers! It will endanger the lives of the driver and the passenger! Had semi-major maintenance performed here, involving fuel pump. They get five stars for giving me confidence that I did not get cheated. I agree that they could be friendlier, but at least they are competent. Came here after getting an estimate from Pepboys, advising twice the repairs. I have to say, before moving to the Bay Area, I would not have given a garage five stars just for doing their proper job, but my car maintenance experiences in this area are horrific. Overcharges, unnecessary repairs (Pepboys, and above-mentioned incident was not the only one), likely minor sabotage in other places. I mean, seriously, are the costs of doing business in California so crazy that they act unethically (or worse)? AAMCO: shoddy replacement of my transmission (legal proceedings started). Dealership: ridiculous estimate approaching the blue book value of my vehicle. I could go on and on. Anyway: if midas wants to keep those five stars, they need to just keep doing their job honestly. I went here to get an oil change. The wait was more than an hour. The cashier/mechanic didn't even tell me that the oil change was already done. So pretty much, I waited for more than an hour for nothing. The next day, my car started making this very loud noise. I called a family member who's very knowledgeable about cars and he determined that it's an idler problem. I don't believe that it was a coincidence that all of a sudden there was this problem because the car was running perfectly before they did the oil change. I came in the next day, I asked the owner what's wrong with my car. They told me it was in fact an idler problem and the owner gave me a quote of roughly $1,000.00 to fix the problem. Mind you, my car is older and its worth about $2K. I very much regret coming to this place. I can only describe my experience as truly and utterly horrible!!!! read more

This place is horrible! I will never go to this place again! They are liars and procrastinators! And they go through your things! So I went there due to a burning smell in my car and needed a coolant flush. So they told me it was my thermostat and my coolant and engine works together. So they said they were charging for a coolant flush, DX, and thermostat for 275. I said OK. So before all this. I called to see if I can come drop my car off and if they had time and he said yes. So comes to find out they didn't look at my car until the next day b/c they were busy which is why I called in the first place! Then they said my car would b done by 3pm and they called me around 530pm saying my car was finished. So I get there and I had to wait and extra 30 minutes b/c they took it for a test drive and still had to rotate my tires. When my car was finished I paid and the guy asks me if I had 2 12s in my trunk for my system and I said yes. I didn't realize until after I left that how would he have known that unless they went in my trunk and touched my things! You don't need to go inside a trunk to fix a dam thermostat! And I seen my belongings moved as well which pissed me off. I have OCD SO I KNO WHEN SOMEINE TOUCHES SOMETHING OF MINE AND MOVES IT. ANYWAYS. I GO TO MY FRIENDS CHEVEROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THE BURNING SMELL WAS COMING FROM A PLASTIC THAT WAS CAUGHT AROUND MY EXHAUST! SO THOSE EVIL MIDAS CROOKS LIED AND TOOK ME FOR GRANTED! Sorry for the late review, Had an oil change and tire rotation 2 months ago and it was definitely NOT WORTH IT ! Aside from the poor customer service and long wait times, they forgot the MOST IMPORTANT PART ! they forgot to LOCK ONE OF MY TIRES !! I was on my way to the freeway when my rear left tire came flying off ! thank god I was able to pullover on the side and avoiding more damage to my car. They agreed to pay for all the repairs, but they wouldn't pay for the car rental which they're supposed to. But instead they want me to drive their busted old Mazda loaner which was parked in the back. Owner was kind enough to lend me his for a couple of days. The worst thing is that my uncle dropped by a few weeks ago and the guys who was working on my car is still there. Just be careful guys have your wheel locks checked.
