I've been in here twice in the past month. They've been great to me both times! I believe there have been some recent changes in management and the old reviews don't really apply. The first issue I had was a rusted tail pipe that needed to be replaced. I got a fair price and the work was completed quickly. I also had them do routine maintenance and an oil change at the time. They identified a tear in the CV boot and recommended I replace them. I got a quote and came back in a couple weeks to have the work done. Turns out the CV boots were fine and the issue was actually with the rack and pinion. (Which is a lot more labor intensive and a lot more expensive.) They worked with me to complete the work within the original quote and had my car back to me within the day. Amazing service! It was beyond easy to set up the appointment both times. They explained all of the work done and at no point did I feel like they were trying to sell me on anything. They take care of their customers here. read more

I came here for a an oil change after looking up their great reviews. I have to get synthetic, which can be costly. The pricing is cost effective & fair. The team the runs this location: Rob & Handsome-Tom are super welcoming and I watched them be fun, genuine & very transparent with all the customers waiting (even bring out the old parts to show specific issues). In general it can be tough to find a consistent-honest-fair priced mechanic; certainly as a woman. My daughters and I will be coming here for any of our future vehicle needs! read more

When I called for pricing for an oil change Rob was the guy I spoke with. He was very pleasant and had a very great attitude over the phone! Pep Boys when I had arrived over there had really bad attitude so I chose to walk out and call ROB back and take my business there because he was such a great friendly person. This Midas location on 60th Ave and West Bell Road is not a location or store any body wants to do business with. I had brakes replaced on all four wheels. I began to have a shimmy when I applied my brakes. Nissan told me the rotors needed to be turned. My car is a 2016 Rogue. They said who ever did my brakes did not turn the rotors. I brought the car back to this Midas. He informed me they did turn the rotors. This was a blatant lie. He then proceeded to tell me I would probably need new rotors. He was setting me up for a large bill. I left and brought my car to another Repair Shop, they also said the rotors have never been turned. 30min later I was on the road with no more shimmy. Simple! I will be taking these crooks to small claims court. Beware!! read more

I took my car in this morning because it was blowing hot air. Dropped it off around 10:30 and they called around 12 to tell me that I needed a new compressor and what the cost would be. I had specifically asked if my car could be done before the end of the day so that I could drive home after work (work down the road from this location in Glendale, but live in Scottsdale) and they made sure to ask when they called at 12 what time I would be off and told me it would definitely be done by 4. Sure enough, they called at 4 and said it was done! Tony was super nice and flexible and I also spoke with a nice older gentleman when I picked up my car at the end of the day. So about six month ago I got an oil change at a jiffy lube, they told me my rear main was leaking! and I knew I had a transmission leak. So I to my truck to a "reputable" transmission shop they had a five star rating and yes they where really nice and had wonderful customer service as they told me the rear main would be a thousand to repair and i need to rebuild my transmission for twenty five hundred dollars or something. So I went to Midas aka Tony for a second opinion he walks me to my car shows me that the rear main is completely dry shows me the problem with my transmission and repairs it for about a hundred bucks. Recently needed to pass emissions same story I moved so I'm a good forty five minutes from Tony so I went around the corner they quoted me three fifty to fix it so I dropped my car off at Midas last night left message that my check engine light is on I picked it today total bill 125. I would like to say that I am completely blown away by the Midas location. I have been managing restaurants for 17 years and i have seen a great deal of angry customers. This one was in my top five of unreasonable customers. I don't know what happened to her in the past but it obviously had nothing to do with the workers or the service from yesterday. Jennifer the office manager and Tony the owner were able to diffuse the situation with the disgruntled customer. I am not sure why she was so angry but she was giving everyone dirty looks and yelling at the mechanics and the owner. She even came up to me seeming very unpredictable and started telling me what I can or cannot purchase from them. She was angry because they offered me synthetic oil for my 2008 jetta with 125k on it. It seemed like a reasonable idea to me seeing as that is what I normally put in my high mileage car anyway. LOL. The lady was threatening to call the cops and everything. She was degrading the owner, making myself and the staff uncomfortable. All said and done, the owner felt so bad that I had to witness that and apologized profusely and paid for my synthetic oil change. OBVIOUSLY he isn't trying to rip people off when he just paid for my entire service including a free diagnostic. He even had his mechanic Dahrious take the brakes apart and show me them. These are honest people who treat you like family and I will definitely be back. To the lady who like to go around being abusive to nice people...you're gonna need to maintain your vehicle better so you can get back and forth to your much needed therapy sessions...seriously. read more

AMAZING service! I highly recommend coming here for all your automotive needs. Tony, the owner, is extremely friendly, helpful, and HONEST. He's definitely one of a kind, especially in the automotive world. By far the best service and all around person I've met since moving here. I'm a student here, so having expensive repairs aren't exactly built into my budget. He will do everything he can to help you out and will quote you fairly. I can't say the same about other automotive shops. I drove across the country from the east coast to AZ. My truck also has over 100k miles. So when I got here my engine light came on, knowing I had put a lot of strain on my truck, I went to take it in. I was referred here based on other students and I'm so happy that I went here instead of somewhere else. I got all the work and repairs done at a very reasonable price. Very satisfied! Tony even helped out and went out of his way when an uncorrelated problem arose. You can tell he really cares and I believe THAT alone sets this Midas and him apart from all other shops. Amazing. I live on the other side of the valley, but needed help by their shop. They fit me in on short notice, did the work promptly and correctly, and took all the time I wanted walking me through what was done and future care recommendations, etc. They charged me a very small amount. I had made it clear that I live on the other side of the valley and would never be back there for additional work, but they were clearly more concerned with doing quality work at a fair price than about trying to maximize each individual transaction. They were suppose to open up at 7:30, went there early to try to get my oil change, Manager was having car trouble so on of the employees came over and said they wouldn't be open until around 8:15. Called back around 8:10 and asked if they had time for an oil change, they said we are booked for until noon but you can come drop in but may take 2 hours for an oil change. They give out this 17.99 coupon for oil change but then they either have you waiting for hours and then try to upsell you. I can't stand midas. read more

Dont take your car here unless you want to be charged for services you DID NOT receive. I took my girlfriends car there to get her fuel pump replaced. After the tech lectured me for about 10 min about the importance of not driving your car on E (duh, I know, not my car, my girlfriends) they charged me 25 bucks for gas. Ok, cool I thought there is 25 dollars in gas in the tank.. SCORE!!! Nope, the car was BONE dry and on E. I asked the manager for a refund and he slaps 10 dollars on the counter. I said "nope that will not do, I either want 25 dollars in gas or a 25 dollar refund". He then offered me a free oil change. Really?? Do you think I would bring my car back for an oil change after being ripped off for 25 dollars in non existent gas. I dont think so. He called the manager and after a few minutes came back saying "well, I dont know what you want me to do". HEY JACKASS, HOW ABOUT A REFUND??!! Nope, I know my techh put gas in your car. I handed him the keys and challenged him to drive up the road with me and back. Of course he would not take my challenge. I had been told that I was in need of rear brakes and not the front and the staff at Midas was very honest with me. They helped me find pads/shoes in my budget and they also called me right away to let me know what was definitely not needed. I ended up not only saving money but getting an honest explanation from Janelle and the great technician that worked on my car. NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP... let me share my experience with Midas Glendale. I observed a weird sound in my car and visited to the shop. They inspected the car and a lady came to me. She said that the root cause of this sound is CV Axle, so you will have to replace front CV axle that will cost you $588 including labour. She also mentioned about front brake pads to be replaced if you would like to. She estimated total cost of repair $1075 and she gave me discount of $80, so i have to $995 to replace both CV axle and front brake pads. I said that this is too costly, then she said you can replace brake pads next time but CV axle needs to be replaced immediately. She created a situation to scare me about car and life safety. I got scared and decided to borrow some money from my friend and asked her to replace both axle and brake pads. I asked her if someone can drop me to my office. When i reached office and my friend about money but he was not able to arrange at that time. Then immediately i called her and asked to stop service within 10 minutes after leaving Midas. I got a call after 30 minutes and they said you will have to pay $134 service charge. I asked it's too much for inspection and 10 mins $134 money. I took my car back and paid $134 and again about the root cause of that sound. She confirmed CV axle is causing. once of my friend recommended for another place and i went there. I just told him about the sound and nothing. He inspected the car and said the root cause is front brake pads because there is a metal chip that is causing for this sound. He charged me $320 for replacing front and rear brake pads. When i asked about axle, then he said that is leaking minor and you can replace after few months that will cost you $320. He seemed to me genuine and honest person. Finally, i only replaced all four wheels brake pads in $320 and that sound is gone. He was able to identify the root cause and resolved also in reasonable price. Midas guys were not able to identify the problem and quoted me $1075 to repair the car and charged me $134 service charge for inspection and 10 minutes. Please remember never go Midas Glendale otherwise you will be trapped to pay more and more money as i was trapped. They are not genuine and honest, and always ready to catch you like a fish. read more

I have been coming to this location for quit some time and have never been disappointed until now. I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone going to this particular midas for any reason whatsoever. The customer service is atrocious, I do not think that the office staff has a clue as to what they are doing and the young female who is I guess running the place doesn't seem to have any answers, let alone education on vehicle matinance. There was also a ton of goofing off happening, which is extremely unprofessional. I am very disappointed and curious as to what happened to the two gentlemen who were running this place just a few months ago? I think their names were Matt and Tony and they were fantastic. I had an oil change appointment at this Midas location (59th ave and Bell road) and it was my first visit. I was 10 minutes early for my appointment and the lady behind the counter said she would have me in soon. I waited in that waiting room for 3 hours! Let me tell you my observations while waiting. 20 minutes after my arrival my car was pulled in where it sat for the next few hours basically untouched until the last 15 minutes of my wait. I observed 5 cars come and go in that 3 hours I was waiting and not one person came in and payed for there vehicle, either the lady from behind the counter or one of the mechanics met the people in the parking lot and cash was handed to them. So I asked the lady if I had paid cash without a receipt would I have gotten out of here sooner and she laughed and said yep, that's how it works here! Really!?! That's how it works here!?! I told here I was going to leave a review of my experience and contact Midas corporate about what is going on here and she laughed again and said many have tried before yet I am still here. Unbelievable. I will never come back here nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone, ever. read more
