Pointing at a sign on the wall that says no checks doesn't negate your position which is, we don't trust you and it's our company policy not to trust you. I make a significant amount of money (thank you very much) and I don't bounce checks. I come from a family that does not bounce checks. I am trustworthy and when I'm told we don't trust you, fine. We took our wheelchair van in for Oil change and tune up prior to driving to Indiana with our disabled son(Motorized wheelchair). Most don't realize that a breakdown with a wheelchair vehicle is a major catastrophe. Van can't be towed with a person in it, disabled person can't be loaded into the tow truck and the wheelchair is too large and too heavy to even get out of the van without the lift. Tibor and Sean made sure our van was gonna be road worthy. Not only did they do the requested work, they also found and repaired a roofing nail in our tire, they found and replaced a failing fuel injector causing a misfire on cylinder #1. They were fantastic..... Our other car Is going in to get and oil change, doesn't even need it yet, but I want to give them the business before we leave just to support then for taking such good care of us on the van. read more

I want to start off by saying that as much as this company tried to win one over me, I was the one that actually won. I made an appointment via the website for an oil change with a 4:00pm - 6:00pm window on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 4:58am. I received an email saying they weren't open yet but will respond within 30 business minutes. I never received anything. At 3:07pm, I called to confirm I was on the schedule since I hadn't heard back. They said I was on the schedule for 4:00pm. I said since I didn't receive anything, I thought it was a window and I wouldn't get there until around 4:30pm. They said the closest to 4:00pm, the better. I said I would get there ASAP. Upon arrival, I parked my vehicle and walked into the lobby with my two young daughters. I spoke with the person at the front desk who was trying to explain about how I might have gotten an email from their owner email, etc. We went over what I needed done, the oil change, the coupon as well as it being a tad more as my vehicle takes 7 quarts of oil, instead of the more standard 5. I was aware and agreed with everything. I handed over my keys and sat down in the waiting area with my daughters. Shortly after, I see an employee going to my car to move it to the bay. He tries to turn it over 3 times and is unsuccessful. People often have a hard time starting my car, probably due to it being a larger engine (5.7L) and their lack of experience with such. It doesn't just immediately turn over, you have to give it a second. During that, my car was reversed into the parking lot and they are then trying to push it into the bay. They pop the hood and see a little bit of smoke (this would probably be due to trying to turn it over several times in a row). They start looking around under the hood and I start getting concerned so I walk over to where my car is at to ask them what was going on. One of the techs begins to scream "Fire Fire Fire". For safety reasons, I back away quickly, unsure of what would happen. I then see several techs, and an not uniformed person walk over and they are looking at my car. After a little bit of time, realizing it was safe, I walk back over to find out what was going on. Everyone got very quiet and some walked away. The non uniformed person proceeds to tell me the they won't touch my car as they don't want to be "married" to it and that there are several after market parts they can see and also that there is radiator fluid leaking everywhere. So with all of those things, I need to get it towed out of there and go back to the last person that did any work on it. Mind you, I just came to get my oil changed. I said to the man that there had been zero indication of anything being wrong before I pulled into the parking lot. No smells, no smoke, etc. I called for a tow truck and my girls and I waited. As we were waiting, I was gradually getting more and more upset because, as a single mom on a single income, I didn't have the money for any large repairs like a fire in my vehicle, etc. The tow truck arrived and I went to ask for my keys and it felt like every employee was avoiding me and not wanting to say much. Whatever! Anyways, I got my car towed to my house and as we were on the way there I was speaking to the tow truck driver about the situation and he started mentioning that a lot of it doesn't make sense. As I was thinking more and more about it, it wasn't making sense to me either. When we got to my house, we looked for any indication of a fire, leak, etc. and there was no indication of any of those thing. At this point, I hadn't tried to start my car because of fear that my car was going to recatch fire. It was around 6:00pm and I turned my car right on and drove it down to Take 5 where I proceeded to get an oil change and spent less with more services. I didn't mention anything about the experience I had just had at Midas until the oil change was finished and they also were very confused as there was no indication of ANY of the problems that were mentioned at Midas. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the treatment I received from Midas and the company's employees. I have NEVER in my life been treated that way. The stress that this incident caused me is astounding and I can't believe this establishment is still in business if you treat customers this way. I still am unsure what the motive behind it was. Was it because I'm a woman, you thought you could pull on over on me? Jokes on you because I know a tad more about vehicles than some. I at least deserve to know the true reason, but I'm sure I never will. Like I said, in the end, I won. Not this shit company. I have used them several times and am very satisfied. they have properly diagnosed problems and resolved them without added costs. asked them about my brakes pad wear, they said I still had plenty of pad. they have previous experience at Ford, they show good expertise on my Ford. I do my own car work but when I have a bigger issue I use them. on the coupon I am going to use it, because it clearly says tire rotation is required which I need anyway for the oil change. read more

They advertise complimentary tire rotation with an oil change, but they will not honor it After they completed the oil change on my 2018 Toyota they rolled out the car tires intact, apparently it was too time consuming. I discovered this since I had marked the tires prior. when confronted they had a million excuses And quickly presented me with a quote for 4 new tires at over $1300 highly over priced! for 235/45 18r 94v tires . Brought my sons jeep in there to replace the ac. They replaced the compressor. Worked for about a week. Brought it back and was told that the condenser (looks like a radiator) part was blown. They put in a new one. It worked for another week. The unit then blew the O ring on the new system installed. Because the pressure was too high. Clearly someone doesn't know what they are doing. They pulled the part citing manufacturer defect for the pressures being too high, probably charged the low side with the high pressures. Didn't offer to reimburse me for the condenser they destroyed cited "rock" hit it. Complete bs. Told my son he needs a new radiator with a separate fan switch and on/off switch (like a formula one race car) the jeep is bone stock?!?!?!. Upon inspecting the install, I see they used zip ties to install this unit/. Complete hack jobs, I won't be going back ever. Seriously? Zip ties on a new install? And telling my son that the radiator was incorrectly sized? It's a direct replacement! You all are complete hacks. Worst part, I was dealing with the manager the whole time. Prices went way up. I always told people that this Midas was very good and not rip you off. I went for a oil change and paid just about 3 times what it used to be. That I let slide but when they told me my rear breaks were just about metal on metal but when I found a man to do the job right and price right also. He showed me the pads he replaced and I know they came off my car cause I was right there all the time. This brakes were not even close to what the man behind the counter, not even close to the squealer. Be careful there from now on they seem to have become a shop that scares people into work that don't need it. read more

I knew that I had a slow leak in my tire and this gentleman was able to find and remove a very small finishing nail. I'm just amazed that he was able to spot that! read more

Thanks service manager and technician for turning off my headlights while getting serviced. So I don't get notified about my headlight being gone till nighttime, I'd advise to listen to whatever they say or else... they turn off your headlights and when you finally turn them back on my car says one headlight is GONE. Professional, friendly, affordable, and knowledgeable !!! So I went in for an oil change and I knew my car wasn't in the best shape. (This review is going to be long so if you don't want to read the whole thing, just know that this place is AMAZING) Thank goodness I finally changed my oil seeing as how I had tire wire sticking out of my tire (apparently that's a bad thing ) so Sean came and explained the situation. This is the first and only car repair place I have been to that didn't try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need! Yes, he did explain that I most definitely needed two front tires. He also suggested that I will be needing rear tires down the line as well. So he went over every pricing option, every financing option and thoroughly explained it all to me (multiple times because I kept asking questions !!) Him and the other guys that came out and talked to me were so friendly! Not to mention that my car literally drives like new!! They used to be the most reliable repair center I found from 2008 till 20222. They must have changed owners, when Shawn was behind the counter he would show me the parts that needed rep;aced and you could see.it was bad. Last two times a different person was behind the counter and prices were triple what used to be and really I am being kind on price increase/ Amyway the new guy said my brake pads were bad so I let them change the front for a outrageous price and a oi; change a lot more than Usha; but the pandimic so I paid. Next oil change still back pads need changed for outrageous price and oil leak in and around injectors I looked and looked and checked oki every time i got fuel no leaks at all and got back breaks and hardly aby wearing at all but changedanyway for $59 9nstesd of $400 they wanted. Sp went from best and most reliable tp worst.; I had kept the pad he said was q post down to metal till just about a month ago but I know if a person with a metal detector I cou;d find again pretty quick, yjay's the reaqson I threw where I did so I could find it if nrrded, Cost me money to buy from Auto v Zone on peachland Bkvd. My wife took her truck to Midas to fix fuel problems. For 3 months we have still had the same problem. We took the vehicle back and they said nothing was wrong. After we had a puddle of gas in our driveway. After getting gas today something. I call Midas they told my wife to drive it back to them with leaking fuel. No why would you tell someone that. I went here for an oil change and a tire rotation for $19.99. They changed the oil, but didn't do the tire rotation. I asked the guy about it and he said there was more tread on the front tires than the back. That's not possible since I have never had the tires rotated. WOULD NOT GO BACK!!!!!! read more

I was Midas client. They changed oil in my car. After that oil leak has appeared. i have found oil on floor in my garage. When I went to their repair shop, specialist showed me a leak from the drain plug. Then I went to this repair shop 7 times about this problem but oil leak is still there. On December 17 I went to BMW Sarasota in order to solve this problem and change oil. BMW specialist told me that oil pan needs change because the place where the plug twists is broken. Before oil change there was no leak so oil pan broke when they were changing oil. Today they offered me to change oil pan for my money. I think that they have to do it under the guarantee. I bought my first set of new tires from them. Nexxens they were. Supposed to be 60000 mile tires but at 30000 they started commenting that I need new ones when I would go in for an oil change. This place is great! I like that if they find something that needs attention, they take you to your car and walk you through what it is and how they came to the conclusion. No one comes out with a list and you are supposed to trust them, as is usually the case. Their prices are reasonable and they are courteous with old fashioned customer service.
