I took my car in for an oil change and brakes when I picked my car up there was smoke coming from the tailpipe which was not doing that before. This is serious and I don't look at this as a laughing matter when I brought my car back the owner thought it was funny having smoke coming out your exhaust pipe is funny at all. One of the service men was very helpful and he didn't laugh and he is going to check it and redo my oil change. The one star is for him Harold not for the owner Matthew Blazevich!! This place is only good for oil changes and nothing else! I had an appointment yesterday for an oil change, tire rotation and balance. The mechanic who was working on my vehicle said I needed rotors, break pads, and all new tires. Mind you, my father is also a mechanic. But because he didn't have time, he recommended Midas because of their free tire rotation and balance with an oil change deal. Now, my father already done the inspection on my car prior to going to Midas. He said outside of the deal, he was going to do my rear breaks because it was cheaper and it was almost time to change them. Anyway, the mechanic insisted that I get all that done, which wasn't needed. And the mechanic would not rotate my tires unless I allowed him to replace everything which cost $906.10. Then, he proposed a $30 rebate on the tires like that was going to make me say yes to the ridiculous cost. Uh no, thank you! So, I only got my oil changed and nothing else. They wouldn't do anything unless I spent a ridiculous amount of money. Not going to happen. read more

This is yet another complaint regarding service done on my brakes at MIDAS located in Waldorf Maryland on 22 October 2020 original estimate # 1091087 and picked up the vehicle at 11:30 am the following day with a final Invoice #1079511 in the amount of $1126.10. Technician's name Harold. Vehicle Type: Ford Explorer 2011, Color: black. During that time (Harold the technician) managed to get a camera speeding ticket from Charles County Speed Camera Program at 09:11 am on 23 October 2020. Understand the vehicle was not in my possession as i picked up at 11:17am on the same day. The Citation number: 82000309903 which now I am responsible to pay in full with a due date of 12/07/2020. This past Saturday 7 November 2020. I was almost involved in a near miss accident due to negligence on the part of the Midas Technician's. The right side of my vehicle(tire) was missing 2 lug nuts. The brake pads fell off its mount and the Calipers broke. Thankfully I had AAA tow the vehicle to a nearby Midas in Springfield Virginia. While there I was able to obtain photos of damage. See Repair order# 0261139. I was also told by the technician in Springfield MIDAS that I was extremely lucky and that Harold the original technician at Midas Waldorf did not secure the bolts for the calipers and forgot to place on the lug nuts for the right front tire. On the left side (Driver side) One bolt was loose the other was completely missing on the caliper. This caused tremendous stress on both my wife and I and could have been a lot worse. What seemed to be a good day turned into this event. As I spoke to the Manager on duty at the Waldorf store not even an apology. Instead all he stated well "what do you want me to do" and that It would be my responsibility to have the vehicle towed to the nearest shop in Springfield Virginia. The purpose of this email is to inform MIDAS that I entrusted my vehicle in their care paid over a thousand dollars for this service on top of that got stuck with a speed camera violation and there is no accountability or at least compensation for the grief that my wife and I had to endure as a result of this experience. The technician should be reprimanded or at least apologize for his negligence. None of that happened not from management nor the technician. Current condition of the vehicle is operable and vibrating severely in the front when driven. I am not sure if this was a result of the wheels being slightly damaged and the balancing weights removed when the brake pads fell off during the incident. I intend on seeking an attorney to resolve this matter. Not only for negligence but also the speeding camera fees. I will certainly contest the ticket as this now requires more time from work to address a matter that should be resolved by MIDAS. According to MIDAS web site "Midas technicians know every part of your brake system inside and out and can perform brake repair on any make and model". It is my opinion that the job on my vehicle was rushed. I have sent emails requesting a discussion with Management with failed attempts. No returned phone calls or even concern on behalf of MIDAS. I see no reason to trust the Waldorf store on performing any future maintenance to my vehicles as my safety was seriously compromised. read more

The staff was great and the techs that work on the cars are always fast as and get things done and inform you on what's going on. This is my favorite place to get service done on my vehicles. I have been coming to this location for over 10 years and never had an issue any of my vehicles. Although they take walk-ins, I recommend that you schedule an appointment for service. It will help reduce your wait time if you plan to wait. If you do happen to walk-in, pending on their schedule, they may schedule a time for you to come back so you don't have to wait, but that's only if they are not completely booked. They have reasonable prices, the staff are friendly, honest, and courteous. They take time to go over the issues with vehicle and provide their recommendations for service required or needed. If there is a repair that can't fix, they will recommend a reasonable shop that will be able to do the repair, they will even recommend taking it to the dealer if they feel it's a repair that should be done by the dealer. I really appreciate their recommendations. I brought one of my vehicles new and it now have over 200,000 miles with no major issues due to keeping up the maintenance, and replacing worn parts as necessary.
