Excellent services. Their Service Manager is Jesse Bulter. He showed me around and pointed the defective front-wheel brakes, and articulated each detail and answer my question confidently and reasonably. All these made me feel relived and they are reliable and trustworthy. Price is also reasonable. I replaced two front-wheel brake rotors, calipers, and repaired my ABS hydraulics system and other related items. It just costed me $2.7K including taxes and labors. I have been a loyal customer for 15 years at a Midas near my home in Trenton Oho, so when my vehicle developed transmission issues while I visited Waukesha WI, I immediately took it to Midas on East Moreland Blvd in Waukesha. I was very disappointed in the service I received there for the following reasons: 1. The manager Matt told me that they put my old transmission filter back in but put on CarMax that they installed a new filter. 2. According to Matt, the price of the transmission control solenoid was $1625, which included labor. I then contacted the manager at the Ohio Midas and was told the system showed that the total price was about $1000.00. When I asked Matt to give me a discount to lower the price, he said no because he couldn't see in the system how much he should charge the customer. Which I know is a lie. 3. I was charged for a 2-part trans flush kit and synthetic transmission flush that I did not receive. They just dropped the pan, replaced the part, and filled it back up with transmission fluid. I will never go back to the Midas is Waukesha. I feel that since they knew that I was from out of town, they took advantage of that, knowing that I would be stuck without getting the part replaced. Normally I do not give bad reviews as we all make mistakes, but last time I went in to get an oil change it took over 2 hours, and other people scheduled after me were leaving. I believe they told me my guy was helping other people and they were sorry it took so long and I would get my service free next time. today I called and told them I was supposed to get my service free, they said come on in we will take care of you. When checking out he said that will be $$ and I said it is supposed to be free, and he said ok fine you can go then, and did not give me any of my paperwork. Ever since the old manager left, this place has gone downhill. I've brought my car in multiple times and each time they did some work it did not fix the problem. The latest was a new credit card where they offered $25 off an oil change or a $25 statement credit. They refused to give me the $25 off, he said because then my oil change would only be $10... well no kidding that's how coupons work! And the new credit card never gave me the $25 statement credit either. Emailed the owner and zero response. I cannot believe this place is still in business the way they operate. read more

Great first experience getting an oil change here. I requested an appointment online. They sent me an emaIl to confirm the appointment and assign me an exact time. I arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and they took care of me right away. I purchased a 3 oil change package for $60 that has no expiration date. They did the oil change and inspection in less than 30 minutes. They explained the results of the inspection in detail and answered my questions. The space was clean and the employees were polite. I go to this Midas regularly for all my oil changes and little tune-ups that aren't covered by my warranty. They have improved their staff and their building's atmosphere in the last year or so, I've noticed. Everyone here is super friendly and nice, and they always give me a fair shake. They don't pressure me into getting my air filter changed if I don't want to - unlike Valvoline's I've been to. The full service oil change and fluid top-off price of $20 is awesome too. I think they include a tire rotation in that too, when it's needed. Great deal, and they've never done me wrong. I'll continue to bring them my business so long as they keep being cool! One tip - you are likely to need an appointment to get work done here, and they are pretty quick so don't get any big ideas about crossing 18 to look around Kohl's or have lunch. I like this place for oil changes because they're priced the same as everybody else, close to home, easy to find, do their work quickly, all that good stuff. But I *go to* this place for oil changes because the staff members are all so friendly They remember my name, the names of my family members, ask how we're doing, offer suggestions on alternate options in place of pricey services- it's great. I wouldn't expect a national chain type place to have such a hometown feel, but that really is what I get when I go there. And to save a few extra bucks, they have a punch card that earns you a free oil change every 5 changes, and the Midas.com website has coupons up all the time, as well as the coupons that appear in the local circular ads. read more

This was the first time taking my truck to Midas. I was very happy with the service that I received. They did the requested service on my truck. What I really liked is, at the end, they gave me a thorough list of things I might want to look at or have one at a later time. They also gave me an estimated price of what each service would cost. They did not try and sell me anything. They did not tell me that i needed to get it done right then and there. But with what a great job they did and how respectful they were with not only me but the other customers that came it, I will be back there anytime that I need service on my truck. Great Place to go. Check Engine light came on over the weekend. Went online and requested an "urgent" Monday appointment. Email came back Monday with a morning appointment. The Waukesha Midas came through with flying colors. Emission control issue which they rectified. Had Tahoe back by 2:00 and can now tow the boat up to Minn. for a fishing trip. They even called on Tuesday to check. I recommend this shop without reservation. Have used them for years always satisfied. read more

I had a problem with the ABS light after they serviced my truck.One would think they would have told me before I left.Accidents do happen and replacing my rotors calls for the whole hub assembly too be removed.Special tools are involved in the procedure and labor is listed as extreme service.After a few phone calls and another$100 bucks, which made the entire bill $623,my 98 chevy silverado 2500 7.4 Vortec with a new engine in ,is running the way it should.My truck is a very nice looking and the guys at Midas like it. I do understand problems can occur so the other $100 was meeting Midas in the middle.No labor charge so I am happy and content that Raging Thunder is on the road safe again. Ron Johnson read more

Had brakes done which had parts that were warranted for a "lifetime" ... no wait, "not that part of the brakes" .... work failed after 13 months .... oh too bad - that part was warranted for only 12 months. Had to spend another $205 for ONE brake area repair. Guy said it wasn't lubricated properly which caused the problem .... and that was OUR problem how???? This isn't the first car repair that has had a problem at Midas. We won't be going back as we've learned our lesson. read more

Worse Service ever they had no idea what they were doing brought my car in for a check engine light they told me it was the thermostat to which I got charged $60 for the check after they changed it the check engine light came on again literally 2 mins after driving off took it back told me to come back another day. I took it two days later and they said it was the thermostat AGAIN! So they changed it under warranty but now supposedly it had a bad pig tail and a bad solenoid which needed to be addressed urgently so it was I got my car two days later and while driving the light came on AGAIN! Took it back and they wanted to charge me again for the check I told them no I already paid $60 for you guys to find out what was wrong with it they took it back and checked it again the manager told me we don't know whats wrong with we normally don't work with this kind of car so take it to the dealer they will be able to tell you whats wrong. So I was out almost a $1000 for no reason because they simply had no idea. AVOID AT ALL COST!! read more

After breaking a brake line, I had my car towed to this Midas and they fixed it. However, after getting the car back, I noticed my ABS light came on and stayed on. When I returned, they told me it was like that when they got it - no it wasn't. They informed me that a wheel bearing was shattered. Now, if this was the case and they knew about it when getting the car, why didn't they tell me in the diagnosis? Anyway, months later, I took my car to the dealership for regular maintenance, and they said whoever replaced the brake line just patched in a new line without taking the old line out. He said it was like tying 2 pieces together with string. I do NOT recommend this Midas to anyone ever! read more

We have been taking both our vehicles there for a few years now and the employees are so friendly, and helpful with explaining what needs to be done and why without pushing us towards anything not really needed. Well I went here looking to have my brakes looked on because I didn't have time to replace the pads myself. After their inspections I go new pads, rotors, calipers, oil change, belts, and a fixed valve cover gasket leak. I noticed the brakes were bad right away so I went back and they took a look at it and had overtightened the emergency brake. Ok, life is good, not really. The brakes smelt awful. I tried to look at them myself but noticed they lost my locking lug nut adaptor. So I went in to have them looked at, the kid put the car on the lift turned the tires and said "the wheels turn it's not your brakes", and as far as my lug nut tool the guy who worked on my car won't be back for 3-4 months so I'd have to wait. So I went home and pondered in shear disappointment. I returned for a 4th time to have my brakes fixed and the manager took care of it himself. He said nothing was wrong but did take the brakes all the way down and regreased everything because maybe they were sticking. He also replaced my locking nuts with regular ones, and boom the car worked. Then I noticed my belts started to squeak. Well after 2 visits back to have them retightened I took care of that myself. While I was tightening the belts I noticed I was leaking a lot of oil, oh look my oil filter is bent and oil is dripping out like a runny nose. So I did another oil change myself. I contacted the representative for the area and he apologized and offered me a free oil change next time I need one. Really, what the deuce is this BS. 6 visits to a store, 2 things I fixed myself and the best he could do is a 2.3% fix on my initial cost. Never again will I visit that store, better off trusting a 1 eyed homeless man on the side street to fix your car than these jack-wagons. read more

You need to watch them closely because they cut corners and they're not very smart. I took my car in because I had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. First, I was told they didn't rotate the tires because "it wasn't necessary". I think they were just lazy. Now my front tires are a lot more worn out than the rear tires. The manager then tried to impress me by saying they had to use synthetic oil because that's what the oil cap said to use and he didn't charge me extra for it. The oil cap does not say to use synthetic oil and a Hyundai Sonata with a 4-cylinder engine isn't going to require synthetic oil. read more

I only went back to Midas because my boyfriend had taken my car there 6 months ago for new brake pads and rotors so when my car became slow to stop i thought i'd just pop in and have them take a look since the pads have a lifetime warranty. After waiting 45 minutes to even BOOK AN APPT i was irritated. Then when i came back the next day for my appt i was told the problem was that a bolt needed to be lubricated so they did that and sent me on my way(an hour and a half later!). They even test drove my car twice but when i left i noticed that my brakes WERE EVEN WORSE THAN BEFORE!! So i called them when i got to work and set up another appt for later in the day after work. I wanted a refund for what i paid for the lubrication of the bolts since it didn't fix the problem but i was denied. They bled the lines as i requested because all my car mechanic friends told me that was the problem, then they told me it was all fixed and sent me on my way but yet again, it was NOT fixed!! I will never take my car there again, even though i have the lifetime warranty on my brake pads! Anybody looking at going here...my advice is to RUN FAR AND FAST!! TRUST ME ON THIS!! read more

If I could have chosen zero stars for this company, I would have. Other than doing an oil change, the mechanics at this midas have no idea what they're doing. But they won't tell you that! I'll give you a short version of my story. These people actually made me believe that they could do an engine swap on my car! Like the previous reviewer, Ruth, they were oh so friendly and knew me by name. Oh sure jenny! We do this kind of work all the time! It's not a problem at all! Well, here I am 1 year later, I still don't have my car back. There's a $14000 lawsuit against them which their insurance company is being ruthless about even though there is fact after fact of the laws they broke, of the lies they told me, and after the completely shitty work they did. Please! DO NOT trust these people! They made me believe they could do a job that they clearly couldn't, which scammed me out of thousands of dollars, and, oh ya, my car! Never once did they say to me they couldn't handle the job, which they told me needed to be done, so that I could have taken my car to a respectable and knowledgeable shop. Worst auto shop in all of Waukesha. You should save your time and money and just go some place else. The customer service (if you can call it that) was the worst I have ever seen. If you have to deal with Giovanni I would ask for someone different right away. The all out ineptitude of the service team is almost laughable, even resorting to the beration and verbal harassment of their customers when they clearly know they are at fault for inferior quality of work. I went to them and had two NEW tires installed. Two days later I walk out to my car and one of the New tires is flat. I then had to call a tow truck to take my car back to this sorry excuse of an auto shop to repair the problem that I paid for but had yet been fixed. When asked if they were going to cover my expenses for a tow truck they smugly said it was not there fault and they will not honor my request.
