Wife here. Had an appointment at 10am today(01/18/25) for oil change and tire rotation. I'm a very busy person, and have a full day ahead so needed to get this done. Walked in and the employee looked at me (no greeting). A couple walked in just ahead of me, and the service person proceeded to help them, they had a flat tire. 10 minutes later, I still got no acknowledgment, after I've been waiting for my APPOINTMENT to begin. I've been coming here over the 20 years I have lived in Waukesha. My husband will not come back here, after two bad experiences. One was like a scam to repair his car in order to allow him to drive away with it. But I haven't experienced any issues until my last two visits. I wrote the last bad visit off as a fluke. Anyways, since I was invisible, I ended up leaving (they wouldn't have noticed anyways) and went to one of the many other services in close vicinity. This sucks because in a business, conducting daily, weekly, or monthly meetings should ALWAYS emphasize CUSTOMER SERVICE and QUALITY. Once a customer has built a confidence level with a business, they're yours until it goes to crap. Now I know why people I talk to about going here scoff at the notion. read more

I've had some bad luck with nails and screws lately, and this has been my go to stop for help. When I call the staff has always answered and tried to get me in as quickly as possible. There has been a few times that I had to stop in while out and about with my pup with me and they've let me bring him into the lobby to make sure he stays cool while they fix my car. Every time I stop in the store manager Will has been incredibly kind and helpful, and when they are overworked and understaffed he is direct about the timing I can expect. I've witnessed him calling other stores nearby when need be for clients to make sure they get the help they need in a timely manner if they can't get them in as quickly as they need, which shows just how much they care about their clients. I always appreciate their honesty and customer service and feel like I have a reliable place for car help. They may not have the fanciest waiting area or wifi available, but there are a variety of fast food places near by if you need food or a quick work space. I highly recommend them when you're looking for a local go to. read more

After driving on a rough road, I took my car in for an alignment. I told a friendly staff member that my car was drifting to the right and shimmying at highway speeds. They recommended an inspection, which was reasonably priced. They found a loose bearing. I fixed that and got the alignment all in 5 hours. However, back on the highway, it still drifted and shimmied. I took it back in and they moved a front tire to the back. They said they test drove it and it was fine. I took it back on the highway and the shimmy was worse, the pull to the right was minimal. They overinflated my tires by 10 lbs! They were at 30 lbs each when I took it in, I checked since I thought low tire pressure was the problem initially. I'm very disappointed as now I will have to take my car in for the 3rd time to address the vibrations, but obviously somewhere else. Since this location doesn't seem to be very thorough in their inspections or analysis of tire issues. Everything we've read on Google said it's either poor alignment or tires out of balance that cause shimmying. Tires Plus did not suggest a tire balancing. If you know exactly what your car needs, maybe this place is a good fit for you. read more

I went in to get my oil changed due to the light recently coming on. I am adding that I am a female college student. Even though I have an older car it was running perfectly fine. I am sitting in the lobby and one of the workers came up to me to tell me that they cannot get the car to start, then proceeded to tell me that for $116 they can run a diagnostic to see what the issue is. I asked them to continue to try to start the car, there was no issue before I came here. I then called a family member and had them on the phone which they to said this makes no sense. Watching them through the lobby there is 5 workers surrounding my car. My family member told me to tell them once it gets started we will take it straight to a mechanic we know very well. Within 5 minutes the car started fine. It is very sad that local business would try to take advantage of a young female because they assumed that I would not question what they were telling me. The car is running like normal, but now I am questioning what they did to cause that to happen and now need to pay for the mechanic to look at it to make sure it is safe to drive. I also question how many people this happens to as well. read more

My car was having issues and become un-drives me during the inspection. I had to have the front struts replaced. This location was able able to get it done same day and I am very thankful. William Cambell and Chris Brown did a really good job explaining and diagnosing what was wrong with my car. Impressed! They've been there for me when I blew a tire in route to Las Vegas from California ... my first hello in Nevada. I dropped by the Waukesha location to get a second opinion on a warning light no one could figure out but had of course had "$$$$ Solutions". Tires Plus was there for me! Poor experience. Granted we were 15 minutes late for our appointment unfortunately but in three hours time they never even moved it from the spot we left it. I'm not sure how 15 minutes can mean that the entire day they're not going to look at your car at all. The guy working the counter had a pretty bad attitude was not willing at all to accommodate even though we drove from Hartford. I would not recommend this location for sure. I have used tires plus in the past and have had varied results at different locations but I have to say this one was pretty poor. read more

So, I like cars and I know enough to get me through minor issues, but as a woman, I always worry that when I go in to have my car looked at that I am going to get taken advantage of. I chose this Tires Plus because shortly after I purchased my car, the TPS light came on, so I tried topping up the air myself, but it appeared again. So one day I stopped at Tires Plus, they checked for punctures and topped up the air. They were great, polite, but I didn't feel like I was being b.s.-ed. It was time for an oil change, so of course I thought of Tires Plus. I called them up asked to make an appointment and the guy on the phone was absolutely great! Friendly and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing what kind of oil the dealership used at the last oil change. He kept reassuring me that they would double check everything and make sure they update the record. When I showed up, the guy at the counter was friendly and told me my car would be ready in 30 minutes. Exactly 30 minutes later I was out the door. And the fact that every time I have stopped there... I think about three or four times now and even though it is always a different staff member, they are always nothing but nice! read more

I took my Ford Explorer to a Ford dealer for a recall. I asked them to check the noisy exhaust. I was told I needed a Y pipe and that it would be approximately $750. I didn't want to spend that much on one pipe so I took it to Tires Plus where I was told I needed everything from the Y pipe on to the back. I was kind of surprised the Ford dealer didn't notice everything that needed to be replaced. They quoted me a price of over $1700. I then took my vehicle to a smaller nearby garage. They got my vehicle in a few days later and charged me $550. Tires plus also said I needed some brake work which I knew I did but was putting it off. I didn't get a quote on that after hearing the quote on the exhaust. When I took it to the nearby garage I asked them to check the brakes and as it turned out the I agreed on a brake job that cost me over $900. When I got the bill I realized they had replaced a caliper, all four rotors, and all the pads. They took care of the problem with my parking brake too. So I had all this work done and still saved over $200 from what Tires Plus was going to charge me just for the exhaust. I will never go back after they lied about my exhaust and the exorbitant price they quoted. They must get enough suckers in there so as not to have to worry about me not coming back. read more

I signed up for the 6 months no payment option at last service. It's a pain to deal with. You are unable to setup auto payments over the phone. Have to manually schedule all payments. Received late fee despite logging in to pay on the first. Paperwork on the front reads 04/01/19 due date. On the back in small print the payment MUST be made before 5 pm EST. There is no * or any type of "Turn over for more info". Clearly the statement reads the 1st on the front. NOT the 1st before 5 p.m. Called in and forced to wait 10 minutes before it will push through to a rep. Told Even though I am logged in on the payment screen on the first I will be charged a late fee. The website won't let you pick today's date as payment date. People on the phone have trouble with English. Are rude and simply say its the terms and conditions you agreed to. I will no longer be taking my car for repairs to Tires plus or any affiliated locations like Firestone. I didn't expect deliberate deceit when signing up for a 6 month promotional. I have a lifetime alignment coverage for a 2003 Ford E350. Took it into this store for an alignment after all of the steering and suspension components were replaced with new. Service rep told me that the tie rod bolts were not tight. Replaced "again" with all new and then discovered "NO" adjustments were made to the truck even though they told me they did the best they could do. They left me leave with the truck, that hey told me was defective, with absolutely "NO" warnings that there wasn't even an attempt to align it. Got new tires put on. Scheduled online and selected the tires I wanted. Came 20 minutes early to the appointment, it wasn't an issue. Took a little longer than anticipated but they communciated during the tire change the process. The reason they don't get 5 stars is because while waiting it became clear they are swamped with business and understaffed. Concerned by being swamped they could be rushing through the process. Had my tires aligned as well, but my car still pulls to the right how it did before the alignment so not sure that 80 dollars was worth anything. read more

Good customer service, but quality of work is not so good. For years the customer service made me overlook the quality of work. It seems like these last few times I took my vehicle in, more and more problems arose. This last time, my vehicle died out RIGHT AFTER I picked it up. So I took it back and they told me a hose was disconnected. Well, one month later, my vehicle died out again and when some good Samaritan helped me out, he told me what the problem was...my hoses were burned out. I had a flat tire that could not be repaired and after doing some research I ended up ordering two new tires from Tirerack. I brought in two of my tires and left them there until my tires were delivered. Tires Plus called later that day to say the tires arrived and they had completed mounting them on my old rims. This is the WORST auto shop I've been to and trust me I've done a tour. They said I needed $500 worth of work and replacement parts. I then took it to F&F on Moorland and bluemound (these guys rock) and they did the work for $250. They also said that Tires Plus had spun me quite a tale. $500 my god. This place ALSO wouldnt install my rims as they had apparently damaged too many in the past while installing them. Yikes. read more

I called for the price of an oil change a synthetic oil change they told me $55 when I went to pick up my car the bill was closer to $80 they charged me for labor they charged me to dispose of my old oil the total came to $79 I think that Tires Plus is nothing but a rip off don't listen to their estimates because they overcharge you I'm not sure if it was because I was a woman or because I appeared to be stupid but I let them charge me for that and I'm ashamed of myself that I let them get away with it to everyone out there do not repeat do not get your oil changed at Tires Plus after waiting for over an hour just to get my car in to be ripped off as a joke also that $80 oil change was with a coupon for $10 so the price would have been 90 do yourself a favor and go someplace else any place else but Tires Plus read more

called a couple of days ahead to get me in for an oil change and signal light replacement and they said drop it off by 10:00. i checked in and reminded the service writer to have an oil change and right blinker light replaced. i let him know that i would be back between 3:00-4 p.m.. he said fine and the blinker light replacement would be $14.00. i received a phone call by 11:30 that my car was complete and i then asked if the blinker light was fixed and the man said they did not know about a blinker light, but would get it fixed. i came in around 4:00 and my car was ready but the bill came to $107.00. i said the car only had an oil change and a blinker replaced. the service writer discounted down to $93.00 but given what was told to me prior i was still over charged $30.00. guess i need to find a new shop. read more

These guys are great! The service is excellent. They have taken great care of my car, have filled my tires with air for me when low, and are very helpful and knowledgeable. In addition, I have a life-threatening latex allergy, so I can't go inside the store lest I swell up, but they have always been very understanding of my limitation, and have come out to my car to check me in and to take my payment at the end so that I never have to set foot inside. They have never made me feel bad about my allergy, and have only helped me and been very kind, and in addition have taken great care of my car. read more

I had called to make an appointment. They had a time open, I didn't write down the time as I asked the gentleman on the phone if I could drop it off on the night before. He said yes and that it would be done after the appointment time. Which meant that my fiance would take my car to work and the appointment time was at a time that we would pick his car up after he was done at work around 330. I asked if there was a key drop box as I would be dropping the car off after hours and the response was yes. I had not heard anything by 3pm so I phoned. They put me on hold then hung up on me. I called back. I stated "I am wondering when my car will be ready for pick up". The gentleman asked my last name. He asked what kind of car needed work. He asked if I had an appointment! I told him I had made an appointment and said that I dropped the car off! It was as though I had never made an appointment He said "Oh we've been trying to get a hold of you. Which I had absolutely no missed calls. "Your keys weren't in an envelope with your name and phone number on them" . Confused I asked why the gentlemen needed to get a hold of me. They had my keys and my appointment with exactly what kind of tires to put on the vehicle. "Well we were wondering whose keys those were. There were six other keys in the drop box. ". I stated, "you mean to tell me you haven't started work on my vehicle because they weren't in an envelope? And you mean to tell me you had six other of my car brand keys and couldn't figure out which key was which? And you mean to tell me that even though I made an appointment for my specific car you were unable to tell that they were my keys... so instead of calling the one person with an appointment with my specific car and a Sunday night drop off time in your system you let my car sit there all day?" The gentleman stated that they are unable to start work on a car unless they know whose keys they are. I told him that absolutely no one told me that my name and phone number needed to be on my car keys or my car would sit for the day. He was unsure why no one told me this but said there are envelopes in the drop box that need to be filled out. I wonder how many other customer cars have sat there all day due to employee negligence? Due to no envelopes? There is no way that your employees were unable to put two and two together that my specific car sitting in their parking lot and the APPOINTMENTMENT in the system with my PHONE NUMBER were for one in the same. Your employees said they tried to get a hold of me which is a blatant lie. They let my car sit there. I asked him when my car would be ready. He began to say something about being booked up till tomorrow but concluded the sentence that my "appointment" had an "8pm" due time. After they called me that my car was completed around 4:30, too late at this point for my fiance or my sister to drop me off to pick up the vehicle during hours to pay for it who both had other engagements, I called back. I called back to see if I could pay via credit card during hours then when it was convenient after their engagements get a ride to pick up the vehicle. No. The man on the phone said that was not possible because of credit card fraud. That at one of the other stores someone had paid using a stolen credit card. Totally understandable. Until, I drove from Oconomowoc to your store to pay for the car during hours and no one verified that I was the card holder. Your people made me make an extra hour and a half long trip wasting my money and gas to pay in person using a credit card that they did not even verify!! Here is why Tires Plus should never tell people they need a battery when you don't know how to change it out and make the car safe again.. Here's why I use a back-up power supply when disconnecting batteries. http://www...safety.htm. On some GM vehicles when the battery is disconnected some modules go to sleep and never wake back up." I just looked through that website and I am astonished. I have never heard of battery removal causing such issues; that just seems like horrendous design. Here are some more issues brought up (can anyone verify if this all is true?): *Chevy Tahoe Loss of voltage to the vehicle electrical system causes the 4WD module to go to sleep permanently. The module never wakes back up when power is restored, and the only way to restore normal 4WD operation is to replace the module with a new one (a repair that may cost you over a hundred dollars!). *Mercedes (various models) Loss of voltage to the vehicle electrical system will prevent the A/C from working. The climate control module must be reset to restore normal operation. It may also disable the Stability Control System. The ABS module has to undergo a relearn procedure for the steering angle sensor to restore normal operation. *Toyota (various models) If the battery is disconnected while the key is on, it can set a fault code for the airbag system and turn on the airbag warning light (which deactivates the airbag system until the fault is cleared with a scan tool). *Subaru (various models) Disconnecting the battery can trigger the anti-theft system, preventing the vehicle from starting when the battery is reconnected. *Saturn L-Series The body control module may forget the odometer display reading. Nice if you are selling a car and want a 0 mileage reading, but expensive to fix because it requires replacing the BCM (at a cost of $300 to $400) and reprogramming the odometer reading. *Honda (various models) Disconnecting the battery will set a code and turn on the air bag light (which also disables the airbag system). The dealer must reset the system with a scan tool to restore normal operation. *BMW, Audi & VW (various models) Disconnecting the battery requires numerous module relearn procedures which can take up to several hours with a factory scan tool read more

Jacob the manager was rude and had very poor customer service. The banner states "safety first" I think tires plus was safety last. They rush you through and make you have a bigger problem.
