SCAM! DISHONEST! UPDATE: was told I would get a private message on my Yelp & Google reviews... have yet to get a message... Worst customer service I've experienced. Called Midas (West Chester Pike, PA) and got quoted 59.99 for synthetic oil change. Made appt. Went to pay with this $10 coupon and they then said the price is now 69.99! They even had a display piece in the office with a piece of paper taped over 59.99 to show 69.99. I have the itemized receipt showing 59.99 for an oil change was told that is the $10 discounted price. Completely scam... everything is itemized to equal 59.99. The man at the desk & the manager were extremely rude and dishonest. And this was the ending of a already terrible experience.... I Brought my car in at 9:30a for 10am appt & told them I need my car by 3pm! (5 hours) Called at 230 to confirm my car was done because I was never contacted. Was told "Um well do we have permission to go in your trunk for key lock to rotate tires" 1. Duh. You have my car key. Do your job. 2. Why is this just being asked now? At 230pm, because I called you!? I proceed to ask "Will my car be done 3PM, I have another appt at 3:30p" and was told YES !!! Showed up to my car on risers. Unfinished. No apology, no explanation. I brought up that I was lied to and would have just appreciated honesty. Both men proceed to get defensive and YELL in my face. "We got busy" They absolutely took advantage of me both thinking my time is invaluable compared to their and scamming me in the cost... probably because I am a young women. Sorry Midas. I may be female but I'm not an idiot. I have submitted a claim with corporate, about my customer service, but more so about the money scam they are running. I will follow through until my situation is delt with properly! ** leaving out the part about them gettin pen all over my seat because this is already a long enough rant*** please see photos taken after they drove my car up.

I brought my car in for an AC recharge, after my vehicle stopped blowing cold air. I've only had this unit and compressor for 4 years, yet I was told I needed a new compressor. Okay fine, so I get the compressor, and was only quoted around $750 on the phone. Tech calls and tells me and says that it's not blowing all the way so they're gonna keep it until the next day and flush the system. Okay. Keep in mind, was not given a price on that. Pull up today and I owe $1150 bucks. For what?? I don't even ask, I want my car back. I was charged an extra 200 dollars for what some garages are willing to do for less than $50 (Recharge). I thought $720 was steep for the compressor and then I was blindsided. I've been going here for almost 3 years now with no issues, and the old manager was super helpful. Like wouldn't send you home until the job was done right kind of helpful. Well the company was apparently bought out and I guess corporate greed has taken over. The only saving grace was that it was done in less than 2 business days. Thanks y'all, I won't be back. OH! And my cold air is only coming out at like 75% compared to what it used to be.

My sister brought her tire here to be repaired. They tore the bead and broke the tire pressure sensor.

You will feel as dumb as I did after leaving this dump. Tires Etc. in West Chester, PA might as well be a chop shop. There are so many warnings on Google and Yelp about Tires Etc. that I wish I had known about or even thought to read through prior to making an appointment with them over the phone. I've never been scammed by a mechanic before now, so I didn't have my guard up. Besides the wait times to pickup your car, which an absolutely awful experience, please be warned that the staff and advertisements from Tires Etc. state they will only charge you $44.99 for the work, but you have to make sure you read between the lines and connect the dots. Though Tires Etc. pricing is $44 less, they WILL fail your inspection and conveniently slap you with something that needs to be repaired. Here's the thing, I just moved here and my car passed inspection with flying colors 4 weeks ago in VA, which is much tougher on inspections than PA. Not only that, but I had my own personal mechanic replace the brakes last month, prior to the VA inspection, which coincidentally is right next to the controller arms of which Tires Etc. is claiming failed inspection. I even called my mechanic and shared what happened, and he said there is no way my car should have failed, that controller arms may be worn, but they had some time before replacing. He feels that this place was a bait and switch shop, laughed at how much they wanted to charge to replace 2 controller arms, and that I was unlucky and did the right thing by leaving. What should have been a $45 inspection, turned into a scam to try and charge me $500 for parts and $2380 for labor. $2880 total plus tax. I only asked Tires Etc. how much the controller arm replacement would cost while I was there, because they made me feel trapped by telling me if I left I'd have to pay for the inspection all over again. Bait and switch 101, but they already know that eventually someone will say yes and they'll cash in on their pray. And so, I paid their $45 fee, $47 with tax, and got the hell out of there quickly. Interestingly enough, I called Meineke to see if I was overreacting, but I was right, because they replace 2 controller arms for less than half the quote that Tires Etc. provided. Half the cost! I advise you stay away, but if you're unfortunate enough to fall in their trap, make a bee line to a legitimate business or chain that does inspections, just like I did. My car passed the same day at a legit mechanic shop, and all I needed was new windshield wipers. They too confirmed they'd had customers many times that fell for the Tires Etc state inspection and emissions test fail scam. They'll probably draft a response to this review and say whatever they need to in order to sound legitimate and attract new victims, but other than pointing out I had moved here recently, and past an inspection in another state, I didn't say much else while I was there, mainly because I was worried if I didn't fix my car with them that day after they conveniently failed my car inspection, they were going to damage my car before getting it off the lift, so I kept very quiet. Again, you've been warned.

The crew of Automotive Intelligence worked miracles and kept ya girl's budget in mind! Kate at the front desk orchestrates everything to a T, because sometimes maintenance can be scheduled and sometimes $#! happens! 99% of the time they've been able to squeeze me in with no notice and get me back on the road same day. What's even better is they don't pull any punches- they fix what needs done, tell you what to keep an eye out for next, and keep the cost real. And if they don't have time to do the job- they tell you (!) rather than keeping your vehicle hostage. The crew is knowledgeable- but when a job calls for it, the owner isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and show the shop why he's the boss and how they can get there too. And they are certified for all vehicles, not just domestic or JDM. Overall, Automotive Intelligence is an under-rated shop in West Chester and they make a habit to not disappoint. I'd say everyone should use them, but how would they keep squeezing me in last minute then? And no, they didn't pay me for this, quite the opposite! They're just cool like that.
