This place is very close to me so I go for the easy access of filling my craving for gyros. However, I can't say it'd be my first choice and I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here specifically. I really enjoyed the portion size, hummus, and the gyro meat. The chicken shawarma was also good, but not amazing enough to make this my go to place for chicken. The falafel was little dry and the pita was very mid. I do recommend the veggie combo platter because there is a great variety to get a taste of the different appetizers! I enjoyed the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves). Overall, I would recommend this place specifically for gyro meat and/or dolmades! This is hands down the best beef shawarma in Chicago. The meat is unbelievably tender with the perfect char. I've eaten it so much that this place made me fall in love with Mediterranean food. What really separates them is the consistency. I've ordered from here at least twice a month for years, and there were stretches where I was eating it every single week, sometimes twice a week. I actually had to force myself to take a break because I was craving it too often. I've tried nearly every shawarma spot within a 8-mile radius, mainly because I wanted to see if they really stood out or if it was normal for beef shawarma to be this addictive, and while some places may have better falafel, better rice, or even better hummus, absolutely none of them come close when it comes to beef shawarma. And to be clear, their rice, hummus, and falafel are still really good. But the beef shawarma is on another level entirely. No other restaurant I have tried makes beef shawarma even remotely close to the way this place makes it. The difference in taste, texture and overall quality quite frankly is mind blowing. I honestly can't fully describe how good it tastes. The meat is so succulent and tender, yet charred just enough that it practically melts in your mouth while leaving behind that rich, crisp, smoky flavor. It's addictive in the best possible way. I've tried other items on the menu and they're all solid, but the reason I keep coming back is because I genuinely cannot find beef shawarma of this quality anywhere else, even within an 8-mile radius. And when I say quality, I mean both the meat itself and the flavor. To maintain this level of consistency for years is incredible. This is the kind of dish that deserves every food award imaginable, from James Beard to Michelin recognition. I'm a huge foodie, and I don't throw praise around lightly. I just picked up my order and the lady who works there didn't bother tending to me when I got in and catered to the lady that came after me. She gave me empty cups to fill my drinks and I didn't see the covers for them so I asked her and she just had the most unpleasant, fake looking facial reaction and didn't bother to even communicate. Gross, is this the type of welcome a paying customer like me receives? Super mean girl working today. The food I ordered wasn't free so I'd appreciate some respect and common courtesy. It would be fair to interact with whoever came first instead of ignoring me and being so accommodating to the young Caucasian woman that came after me. The staff here are polite and they are always so hardworking. They make sure that your order comes out correctly and they make adjustments if you ask (nicely). This restaurant is a good place to sit down with friends after a long day of work. There are lots of chairs and there is a booth to make yourself comfortable. The food on the other hand is just amazing. I mean this statement when I say it- I think this restaurant has the best rotisserie chicken that I have ever tasted and no other restaurant I tried in recent memory has come close to perfecting their chicken. Recently moved very close to it so had to check it out. When in need of something quick I walked over and picked up some falafel and pita. Was really happy, Good size, perfectly made, fresh, and good price. In general it's the menu you might expect and all good. Not top of the line but solidly good. Another time falafel sandwich and schwarma were satisfying. Service was quick and friendly. Had a long wait on the 3rd visit. The cook apparently had nothing made in advance except the pita. There were like 3 people there and it was still taking a long time. But that's ok. What disappointed me was the falafel and sauce were different. The falafel was spicier which was fine by me. The sauce was many times hotter than the previous visits. The falafel were so overcooked I had to break into them to eat them. So, current assessment is that it can be very good but inconsistent. I was so pleasantly surprised by Falafel Kebab Station! I had a carryout order on a weekday afternoon and I will say inside it's very nice! It also looks like the back patio is open now as well, but didn't get a chance to check that out. I got a falafel plate and it came with eight pieces of falafel, a heaping portion of rice, huge pita pockets, some hummus, and a salad. With tax it cost 11$. I cannot believe just how much food I got for that price - absolutely unbelievable! The falafel was delicious, crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The hummus was amazing, rice was awesome. Literally everything was SO good. I hope they stick around because I'll be coming here way more often!!! read more

We've been ordering carry outs since they opened in Edgewater, and have yet to be disappointed. Unfortunately, our last carry out we were disappointed with. Our main choice is the gyro with extra sauce on the side. On Sunday, we placed the order, my usual. For some reason, the sandwich had very little meat, it was just little chunks or pieces of meat, which has never occurred before. The sauce they gave on the side wasn't tzatziki sauce. While it was good, packed with lots of garlic, it wasn't the same thing as tzatziki sauce. It appears I received their garlic sauce. Hopefully this was just in error or fluke as it's one of our FAVORITE go too places. UPDATE... I ordered my usual last night (April 29), and it was fantastic!!
