Good pizza and it`s good re-heated the next day. Where they are lacking is CUSTOMER SERVICE and CUSTOMER APPRIECIATION. There are two counter girls who answer the phone and ring-up orders. One is taller, with darker short hair. One has longer hair and is very sweet and considerate. The first girl I am referring too needs to be made aware that we as CUSTOMERS should be respected. She is cold, non-welcoming and also acts like she is doing us CUSTOMERS a favor. She answers the phone and says "Pizza Pirate please hold" and quickly click off putting you on hold, whereas a representative of the business who cares about customer relations/retention would answer and say "Pizza Pirate please hold" and WAIT for the caller to say "OK". Small matter but it clearly exemplifies a lack of respect. I called Pizza Pirate and when I had the phone hung up in my ear last time (to sit on hold) ... I ordered from one of TWO COMPETITORS almost across the street. There are 4 choices for take-out pizza and food in Middleboro center alone and MANY MORE within a 2 mile radius. I thought realized how fortunate I am when it comes to local pizza places, but I was wrong. I mean, I can walk to both Papa's Tomato Pies AND DeLorenzo's, so my opinion may be a bit skewed. I didn't think I was a pizza snob, but my goodness, I don't know what to say. The large cheese pizza was covered in industrial style shredded mozzarella-type product over the tell-tale perfectly uniform and unnaturally sweet straight from a giant can sauce. The crust seemed to be what a pan pizza from Chuck E. Cheese would resemble. This pizza made Sbarro's seem authentic. The wings were equally bad. Terribly fatty and seemingly straight from a freezer bag into the fryer, then tossed in plain old Frank's Red Hot Sauce. The food was honestly 1 star, but the girl on the phone and the delivery driver were both exceptionally nice. The driver even delivered straight to the room instead of waiting in the lobby and joked around with my son while I got my wallet. The food arrived ahead of schedule and was hot. These factors earned a second star. Again, if this is what passes as even acceptable pizza in New England then you can keep your misbegotten Super Bowls, it isn't even close to being worth the trade. read more

This place is terrible. It is honestly the worst pizza/sub place I have ever been to. I usually don't write bad reviews because most restaurants have some redeeming qualities. This place does not have anything redeeming about it. I have tried this place 3 times because I just couldn't believe it could possibly be that bad and I was hoping to find something decent about it. The pizza is extremely greasy and undercooked. The buffalo chicken sub I got was exceptionally salty and dry. The chicken tenders in the sub were mostly breading and the chicken that was in them was gray and veiny. The breading of the sub was old and crusty. I felt hungover after eating it, that is how salty it was. The last time I went there I got a salad, because I figured that is really hard to do poorly. It was terrible-- dry, wilted, and overpriced. They used to be good, but standards have slipped. I ordered chicken Alfredo and received cold (as in, freezing cold, indicating that it had recently been pulled from a freezer and heated for all of 60 seconds) pasta with a bit of chicken, a couple of tiny pieces of broccoli, and MILK poured over it! Pizza Pirate, straight milk isn't an adequate substitute for Alfredo sauce. I'll go to Pacchini's or Central next time. read more
