After 1 time wearing them the sole of the boot completely fell off. It appears to have been adhered with tape. They are in worse shape now than when I brought them there. I called to see if I can get my money back. They said they have to check their cameras!! I never heard of such a thing. How does a business function like this. If they took credit cards or gave receipts this wouldn't be an issue. I am appalled by this and warn others not to go here.

They look like new and were polished also. There's a Landis shoe machine in the back and patching sewing machine. The repairs are not outsourced. Decades ago there were shoe repair shops in every neighborhoods. It's a dying trade; that takes a lot of skill and talent. They have shoe products such as Meltonian polishes, laces, Barge cement, et al. for sale. They also do tailoring, as well. I can't vouch for seamstress work, but if it's as well done as the shoe repair.

The insole could be replaced, but the straps were worn; and for what they cost and the years she wore them; she got her moneys worth. At any rate brought them to my local cobbler and he slit the top open put in a solid piece of cloth that stretched now they fit so comfortably. Hats off to a great job I'm amazed. They have a sign that says "expert" tailoring but I'd say it's more like "good enough" tailoring because the patch work I got done was in fact good enough but certainly in no way an "expert" application. While I could have complained about it when I picked it up I'm ok with the good enough job since the shirt I'm using and the patch I needed applied would have been nice if it were placed with proper alignment but I'm ok with the way it was applied for my needs. If I'm ok with how it was applied why am I complaining? I'm not necessarily complaining but pointing out that this place doesn't have "expert" tailoring and I also didn't want to go without the shirt another week since I needed the shirt in the coming week. If my patch needed perfect accuracy for a job or something of a more serious nature I would have requested it be fixed. If you need expert tailoring I'd probably go elsewhere especially if you need patches applied to any article of clothing. Will I be back? Sure, for washing services only because if I need more patches applied I will most certainly be finding another tailor to do that work for me. This was my very first time doing business here and this review is my initial impressions and experience. Maybe next time a patch job will be perfect, sadly I won't allow a next time for patch work or any tailoring.
