Super helpful staff made renting a unit quick and easy. The office is clean and you can tell the proprietors really care about the business and treating you right as a customer. They even offered me cold bottled water as I loaded my storage unit. And I thought prices were very reasonable. They provide keys and locks for the units and the units are new inside and very clean. WARNING!!! DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!!! I have rented from various storage facilities over the years during many moves and this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had. I rented a 5x5 unit from them but upon even moving in, even stepping foot in this facility, I realized I needed a larger unit. I called to see if I could be changed to a larger unit and was told that I'd have to just pay for BOTH units for the following month and then "move out" of a unit I have NEVER EVEN MOVED IN TO. I decided that I'd go with a different facility completely at this point and asked for my account to be closed to which I was again told I'd have to "move out" in person... MOVE OUT OF A FACILITY IVE NEVER BEEN TO?! About two weeks ago someone reached out to me about my unit saying it was red tagged or something to that nature. I said once again, I've never been to this facility, I've never been in the unit and I asked to stop being contacted and billed for this weeks ago. The man I spoke with asked if they had my "permission" to access to the unit to confirm it's empty. I told him that I don't even know how to access the unit so sure! have at! 3 days later I'm charged for the unit. The first person I spoke to said that they could see id never been there and could see that it was confirmed empty. They disconnected and when I called back I got "Darian"... she said that I won't be charged after this month but they have to "confirm" I've "moved out" so that's why I was charged again. You're joking. Everything is electronic... you know that I've NEVER been there and it doesn't take a week to determine whether I've moved out or not when I have quite literally NEVER moved in. I have disputed this with my bank and the bank is getting kickback. The charge is minimal but it's the principal of this. I'm going to pursue legal action if the charge is not reversed and I've already reported them to the BBB. Charging people for services you aren't providing them is illegal and trying to convince them that you need all this time to confirm x, y & z may work on someone who doesn't understand that all of this is electronic but it doesn't work on me. It's not bad enough y'all have had INSIDE JOB theft? You want to continue the bad reputation by charging people for things they aren't even receiving? I went with another facility and have had nothing but the BEST customer service and EASY payments, move ins, access, etc. save yourself the stress and do not even risk working with a facility that's this scummy. read more

I hate this place. There's nobody physically there to help with anything! They have a "virtual assistant", and each time I've used it, it takes at least twice as long to get anything done! There is a "manager" on site, but who knows what he does. He doesn't help the customers. My rent more than tripled in the last couple of years. Out of nowhere I got an email that said my storage unit was found unsecured. I just moved to a different (smaller, less expensive) unit a month prior. When I called to try and get some answers, nobody answers and I leave a message. I also sent a reply email. Someone finally called me back a couple of hours later and explained that my unit was likely locked open. They put a lock on my unit and the email said I was being charged for it. I go over to my unit to investigate, and what a runaround! First, I get there and my original lock is nowhere to be found. So I go back to the main office. I then get told that they know nothing about my lock and that I probably had a break in. I go back over to my unit to look at the contents and nothing appears to be disturbed. Meanwhile, I have to use the password key pad for each entry and exit, and the new explanation makes even less sense. I purchase yet another lock from them via virtual assistant. So very frustrating that I can't just talk to a person in person. It's a huge waste of my time. When I asked why they have a manager on site the assistant said they are there to clean the property. Sounds pretty cush to me. I'm not planning on staying there much longer. Don't rent a storage unit here. read more

INSIDE BURGLARY JOB!! Buyer beware!!! We are in the process of selling our home and started depersonalizing and declutterring for staging. On 1/31 we rented a unit from this location. And they make you use their locks!! On 2/3 we were contacted by the office stating there had been a string of break ins and told us we needed to check our unit. On 2/4 I went by our unit and our lock was intact and not cut so I figured we were safe. At this time I did not open the unit. On 2/16 my husband and I went to drop off more stuff to our unit and when we opened it, we realized 75% was of our boxes were gone. We called the police and filed a report. We contacted the office and asked for video footage and were denied. Told us they would only release to the police. The police requested video footage and were also denied - stating we needed a subpoena. We were able to work with the burglary team with the police to finally get the footage. They originally tried giving us footage from 1/9 which makes ZERO sense considering we didn't sign the lease until 1/31. Finally we got the right footage but it was such bad quality all you could see was it was a white pick up truck. We can't see the license plate OR the driver. Go figure! The officer asked the storage unit for record of who accessed the gate at that time and they have no record of the main gate opening. Which is garbage, because anytime we accessed their facility, we entered a code and it identified us by name. Fast forward to the insurance claim and they denied us because they said there was no sign of forced entry! Yet they were the ones who advised us of the break ins to began with. We filed a claim with our homeowners insurance for a loss of $25,000! That's how much we lost yet they have no record of the gate opening, our lock wasn't cut or tampered with, terrible camera quality, and insurance that doesn't pay out. You tell me how this isn't an inside job? They even went as far as to tell us the cameras and security are for them not the customers. Their employees have no sympathy for anything that occurred at this location. They deny everything and take zero ownership or accountability. Do NOT trust this location to protect your belongings! read more

Customer service sucks due to the virtual assistant they have. Claims to have 24 hours access if you pay extra per month but they'll lock you out. If you work a shift that's not within the normal office hours, this is not the storage unit for you. I regret coming back to this company. Getting your money back for miscommunication on their part will take forever as well. read more

They steal your money. I'm very upset that on the 27th of June I received an email stating that I was having a rental increase on my unit and that as of July 1st this increase would be effective. They sent me this email and stated it served as my "30day notice to price increase". Absolutely insane. I emailed back right away with no response, then I emailed the billing department with no response. I talked to a woman as well about this on July 1st since my bill comes out on July 3rd...she told me to go in person to talk to someone. I realized the charged my bank on the 1st, then I drove in today to talk to a person and he told me that there was nothing he could do for me even though I stated in email I wanted to vacate the premises before price increase and asked him to prorate me for the 4days I would be in there in July. I asked him how he thought that was fair. I've been trying to get a hold of someone for a week about this, I live an hour and a half away from this storage unit in Denver mind you. No one is choosing to contact me over this issue even though I've left multiple messages. read more

This is the only place I will ever rent storage space! I had 5 units at the same time for my move. Everyone was very helpful and friendly! A few months later, I rented one for my daughter. Same friendly and helpful service. Prices are reasonable. This is a very clean and very well maintained place. I had a couple of the units for 8 months. I never had a worry about "critters" of any type. All of my belongings were in the same condition as when I put them in the storage units. This storage facility is top class. The manager Phyllis Stovall is so friendly and professional. Renting our unit was easy and fast. The unit was clean and in excellent condition and easy to access with our 26' truck. We rented a U-Haul truck twice from the facility and even though there was a mix-up (U-Haul's error), Phyllis was quick to sort it out for us. When I called East Woodmen Self Storage the young man that answered could not explain the charge and stated he would have the manager call. I gave him our new phone number and he claimed the manager did call. She didn't call that was a big fat lie. She completely blew off the phone call. I plan on moving our stuff out.
