Just the front bearings and U-joint were quoted at approximately $2,200. Unfortunately, they didn't provide a written estimate or itemized quote, even after I paid for the inspection. Speaking of the inspection -- this is where things get frustrating. Although they advertise a free "Midas Touch Visual Courtesy Check," I was charged $188.69 for what they called an "Engine Service" / "Level 2 Diagnostic Inspection." This supposedly includes scanning for trouble codes and reviewing the results. I currently have three dashboard lights on, including the check engine light, and none of these were addressed. The only feedback I received was based on visible, physical issues -- nothing related to the diagnostics I paid for. I also specifically asked them to check why my heater wasn't blowing. They never mentioned it again, let alone offered a diagnosis or recommendation -- it was as if they completely ignored the request. Overall, I left feeling misled and overcharged. For the price I paid, I expected better communication, more thorough diagnostics, and at the very least, a written quote. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone -- not even my worst enemy.

Instead of just doing that, they overcharged me and claimed that my right socket was "fried"--even though that light was working perfectly before I brought it in. They didn't even provide the correct part name for me to fix it myself. Worse, after their work, my car started dying constantly, and I found out they had messed up the wiring to my alternator. That never happened before I brought my car in. They also never gave me back the light bulb I bought for the right low beam, which they were supposed to use for the replacement. Now I'm dealing with extra repairs and more costs--all because of problems they caused. It feels like they're just creating issues so I keep coming back and spending more money. I will never trust Midas again and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere for honest service.

The manager resisted filing a claim and mentioned paying out of pocket if it was under $800, and they refused to pay an $80 diagnostic fee upfront--said they'd "reimburse" instead. She served all 5 customers before she even took her jacket & backpack off! Then I witnessed true accountability by the manager Luke. The 1st customer, returned because oil was pouring out of his car since his oil change the day before at Walmart. What I saw Luke do, is to be completely transparent, and accountable to this customer. He documented every detail of the situation. Assuring that if any damage did occur to the customers vehicle, Walmart would take care of it. I have an employment history with Fast Lube shops. An I have seen my share of shady excuses to avoid accountability. Luke and his entire team's honesty was amazing to see. I was concerned about using Walmart for my vehicle maintenance. I will now ONLY go to Bellevue, NE Walmart Auto Center for my car maintenance, for as long as Luke, Kristine are there to take care of me. AMAZING. BTW, my battery was fine, just a loose cable, that Luke fixed for free!
