I purchased a new RAV4 in the first week of January 2026. I had a great experience with the purchase of my vehicle. Keaton was super nice and very helpful. The finance department on the other hand was extremely brutal. I initially had warranty added for an additional cost. I decided a day or two later that I did not want the warranty. I took the time to go back in person to remove the warranty, and the finance manager was very confrontational. He continuously tried to talk me out of removing the warranty with no explanation. I quickly realized the only reason he did not want me to remove the warranty was because he didn't want to lose money on my sale. After about 30 minutes to an hour of arguing with him about removing the warranty he finally pulled out the warranty cancellation forms begrudgingly. He did not fill out the cancellation form properly. He told me that he would take the forms over to the accounting department immediately and get the additional costs removed from my SETF balance. He told me it would take about 6-8 weeks. I understood and monitored my account. 8 weeks had passed and I saw no change on my remaining balance. I called after 8 weeks to get an update and was met with the same attitude from the same finance manager. I told him it had been over the 8 weeks he had told me it would take to remove the additional costs. Instead of being apologetic, he went straight back to asking me why I wanted the warranty removed. He told me he would look into it. Another month went by and no change to my remaining balance. I called again. Same story. This went on with the same finance manager for 6 months. I finally had enough of this back and forth in May. I had to get in touch with the Business manager Ronnie Suber. She promptly got the documentation over to accounting. I finally saw the balance get removed in June... 6 MONTHS LATER! That is 24 weeks from when I was told 6-8 weeks. This is completely unacceptable. 3x the amount of time it should have taken to get this balance removed. The finance manager was more concerned about making money off the sale than having a happy customer. I would not refer any of my family or friends to shop here out of fear they would have the same treatment. If I want another Toyota I will not be returning to this place. read more

I would give Zero stars if it would let me. I had a HORRIBLE experience purchasing a product via their website.....or at least a website associated with them (oemgenuineparts.com). I am reasonably convinced that it is a scam website ran by shady characters. I ordered a part and received confirmation of the order and my card was charged. I received an email also requesting the VIN of the vehicle (which I did not want to provide because I was afraid after ordering that the website was shady). That email said that the order would be processed in 3 days if the VIN was not provided. After nearly a week, I had not received any other communication from them and noticed that the charge on my card had disappeared, but the order still showed that it was being processed. I attempted to contact them for an update on the order. ZERO RESPONSE. Now, three weeks later, they have charged my card again and sent a email saying that it is being shipped. Why no response before???? Why the charge reversal and then a second charge with ZERO COMMINICATION??? Because I received no response previously, and needed the part, I had since ordered it from a different place. Now I do not need the product. If this place actually is legitimate, stay away from them unless you are ok with guessing games and horrible communication. I have tried to contact them to stop the order, and guess what.....no response. read more

The reps were very helpful. They kept an eye out for the vehicle with the options we wanted. The only drawback to ordering a vehicle from Toyota is that they do not make a car to your order. The dealership has to watch what is being made and try to get it sent to them. As a result, we ended up waiting 7 months. You may not get a vehicle that is exactly what you want, but it will be close. read more

The car FAILED the same night I drove it off the lot. Yes -- the very night of purchase. Because of this experience, I will be filing formal complaints with the State Attorney General, State DMV / Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing Board, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Consumer Affairs, and any other appropriate agencies. This dealership is deceptive. They misrepresented services, claiming work had been performed that clearly was not. When issues surfaced immediately, accountability disappeared. I tried to handle this respectfully. I communicated directly with the General Manager and the Sales Manager. I explained the situation clearly and honestly. They pretended to care -- but their actions made it obvious their only priorities are sales numbers and profit, not customer safety or integrity. This situation has taken a serious emotional toll on me. I have spent the last two months stressed, depressed, and overwhelmed because of the financial and personal impact this dealership caused. I have not felt this hopeless in a long time. What makes this worse is the pattern: large dealerships telling customers whatever they need to hear, hoping the buyer will eventually give up. And as a woman, I strongly feel I was expected to stay quiet, be patient, and accept excuses. I'm sharing this review so others are warned. Make them put all prices for you car your buying and you trade in in writing and you keep it. Then make sure the amount you are financing matches all your numbers. As a courtesy, I have added warranty coverage, tire/rim protection, as well as rental car coverage..." of course, now I see that I was billed over $3,000 for a warranty that I did NOT ask for. I waited for two months to order a Grand Highlander limited I started to get the car in July of 2025, I was told that they did not have one in inventory. I put an order in for one and then was told that they could not get the color I wanted. I was told that their order was in backlog. I waited 2 more months and finally got one on October 6th, 2025. It wasn't the color that I wanted buy needed to travel. I bought it and was told that my tags were going to be here in 45 days. It is past 45 days and still no tags. I called and asked what date they submitted to DMV and it was 14 days later and now they are blaming the DMV. They submitted for my tags 14 days later and they lied to me when I told them that I needed to get my tags before I travel. I still have no tags except the temporary one they gave me. On September 24, 2025 we drove to this dealership after receiving a Smart price quote of $32,692 off of midlands Toyota website for a 2025 RAV4. The dealership refused to honor the price they advertised for the vehicle! Instead they raised the price to $35070 and told us it was mandatory that we purchase the "midlands advantage Powertrain warranty", yeah the one they advertised that is free and at no cost to the customer! Not only did they charge us for the supposedly free warranty, the finance guy was the rudest person I have ever met and kept trying to sneak in add ons that we kept telling him we didn't want! He had the price up to $42k at one point and kept gaslighting us and telling we had to have these warranties too! I walked out! We were then offered another salesperson, who took the add ons off, but still refused take off the extra for the powertrain warranty and refused to give us a price breakdown for it and what it included. After being there 6 hrs I ended up signing because my daughter needed a vehicle. I think it's unethical and deceptive to make people pay for a powertrain warranty that they advertise all over their site as free and not honor the prices they advertise on their site! They don't keep up with your owner's manual maintenance, and you would think they would as it nets them more profit. My $1,950.00 parts order has not been completed in over 2 weeks. I contacted the company through live a chat and was told that they will contact me. After no response; again, I requested service via multiple e-mail requests. After a third week of waiting (5 days of steadily contact), customer service has not responded to any of my requests. This has led me to believe that I should not have trusted Midland Toyota nor it's customer 's reviews. Now, I have to spend time writing to outside review sites and filing a report with Michigan Small Claims Court and Michigan consumers protection agency. I've talked with my attorney. I would not recommend shopping at Midlands Toyota. Found a '21 Rav4 in their used lot (non-certified pre-owned) I wanted to purchase. Entering negotiations with the salesman, they first brought me out an offer that was almost 5k over the price that was in the window of the car. The salesman and his finance manager tried to peg me with every extended warranty they could. I politely declined. After the salesman "went to battle" for me (the words he used when he discussed pricing with his finance manger), I ended up purchasing the vehicle because it was clean enough and fit what I was after. While making payment for my vehicle, I then had finance and another manager try to sell me ANOTHER extended warranty. Later found out the vehicle was sold without a manual (my own fault), this dealership did not provide me with one, I had to buy one out of pocket. I perform all maintenance on my vehicles myself, I attempted to order some miscellaneous parts and fluids from the parts department, and they are as big of a joke as their sales department. They price gouge and would not recommend using their sales department. Find a different dealership or source out OEM Toyota/Lexus parts online. The gave me 3 free oil changes when I purchased the vehicle, however, there is absolutely no way I will be going to Midlands Toyota to have them service my vehicle, purchase parts, or sell me another car, ever. Please folks, when if you plan on purchasing a used/new Toyota, or any car for that matter, do your research, have a price budgeted out, and always bring a mechanically inclined friend, or pay to have a pre-purchase inspection done. And do not let salesman push you around. Walk away, if I were to do it again, I would not have purchased this vehicle from this dealership. They will not see me as a repeat customer. read more

My car broke down as I was driving from Florida to Pennsylvania. I completely blew out my radiator and it was very late at night and I was just able to get to the service department before they were ready to close. They looked at my vehicle on Saturday morning, they gave me a call and it was completely fixed and they had me on my way by 2 pm on a Saturday. I don't know if I've ever run across a group of people in all departments that were so kind and willing to help like this group. Jon was my go to guy who kept me informed in what was needed and Joehel I believe was his name helped me the night my car broke down. They have had this van in stock multiple times but keep selling it to other customers who pay more. Apparently a signed agreement means nothing to them. TJ helped me from the first time I drove up to get my car serviced! He was attentive, checked in on me, and told me how the updates of my car throughout the time I was there. Through my car warranty- I am allowed to go to Midlands Honda and/or Midlands Toyota. For my first free oil change/rotation/inspection, I went to Midlands Honda- had an awful experience, was there for close to 3 hours. No one checked on me, and came to found out- they did not fill my tire pressures correctly. My fiancé had to fix the tires when I got home. I wanted to try Midlands Toyota for my second round of car service- from the start, I could tell it was going to be a better experience. A man by the name of TJ, took my car back, checked in on me after about 45 minutes and told me the updates on my car. When my car was close to being finished, TJ brought me the inspection papers on my car and went over everything in detail. He said the staff was about to bring out my car after they put it through their car wash!! Also I left within an hour and a half! I wish I would've went here my first go round! I'll be back! I called the parts department-- first call, was placed on hold, no big deal, after 8 minutes I hung up. Called back 10 minutes later, was told, "hold," 6 more minutes, hung up. Called back, "hold," and again 2 more times but not told hold those times. The phone was picked up, and then hung up. Called back and a gentleman picked up the phone and asked me why I kept calling back? Well, sir, I was placed on hold and then hung up on!! He stated they were extremely busy and he just wanted to know why I kept calling. I told him, "No problem I can take my services to another Toyota dealership," and he said, "That's just fine." Here's the thing, I work in a trauama center, I understand busy. But I also understand communication and respecting my patients enough to give an explanation of wait times because time is valuable. To be hung up, and then to be basically told, go somewhere else, I have a problem with that. If you do not have customer service, do not work in the industry. A better option for picking up a phone during a busy period would be, "Hey, let me get your number and we can call you back, might be later this afternoon, but someone will get to you!" Service Department seems a bit shady now. We have two Toyotas, bought and serviced at Dick Dyer. The last time each vehicle went in for service, we were told the OIL PLUG is STRIPPED and we need a new oil pan. Same thing for two different vehicles.. One vehicle, they admitted they did all of the service, so they replaced the oil pan at no cost. The other vehicle, they didn't do all the service, but did perform the last oil change, and they're telling us the oil plug is loose and the seal is leaking, and want $800 to replace the oil pan. That vehicle is parked in a garage, and there is no oil on the garage floor. We opted to not get the oil changed yesterday, and looked at it at home. The oil plug IS NOT loose, there is NO LEAKING whatsoever. After researching service department scams, this is on the list. We received GREAT service for 10+ years from Dick Dyer. At best, the service department is stripping the oil plugs during the performance of an oil change, at worst, they are conducting a scam. Either way, something has changed and they are untrustworthy now. read more

I have brought my Supra to this dealership for a few services, and as of 06/07/24, it was my second oil change. I didn't have any issues in the past, but today I'm livid. I brought my car in for an oil change, paid, and was told my car was ready to go, so I waited outside. After 5 minutes, I went back inside to be told that they were on a test drive--for an oil change? I immediately thought, what the hell? It's an oil change, and they didn't do that the first time. This decision was made by management (heard this straight from the employee). So, I'm pissed. My car gets back, and I look at my odometer; it's 10 miles over from when I brought the car in, so I know they took my car for a joyride. It doesn't take 10 miles to test an oil change. This is UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL to people's property. If you have a nice car, do not bring it to this dealership. Take 5 does professional oil changes better.. I HOPE they read this review. Took my moms car to get an oil change and run a diagnostic test. Cost almost $300 just for that. They tried to run up my bill to $900 with little things that I could replace myself for less than $100. They've always been expensive (don't get me wrong) but to run up a bill on a car that's worth $500 is absolutely ridiculous. read more

First off when you walk inside the "showroom" it looks like the waiting room from Beetlejuice and smells like cigarettes. No one on staff presents themselves in a professional manner except for one woman with short braids who was friendly and greeted us when we walked up. Don't waste your time when there are so many other Toyota dealers all over that are honest and don't play games. From the minute you start talking numbers with them the lies start and the games begin. They even have the audacity to tell you with a straight face that they are prepared to charge you a $10,000 market adjustment over MSRP "because we can" HAHAHAHA. When we balked suddenly we were offered to be placed on the second spot on the wait list for a 2023 Sequoia. Called three other dealers, no one else is charging market adjustments, they all offer the same powertrain warranty without deception. Ended up driving another hour to Florence Toyota and gave them our business. Honestly I would rather walk than give Midlands Toyota a penny. read more

I waited 2 1/2 hours for a SCHEDULED oil change/tire rotation and was then told the mechanic that had rotated my tires there the last time had tightened one of the wheels too tight and it would break and have to be replaced. Kindly they would replace the wheel since it was their fault to begin with but it would take an additional 45 minutes. This is one of the MANY issues I've had with with their service department since I purchased my SUV there in 2016. If I could give them no stars I would. read more

In May 0f 2023 we informed the Toyota Service Center on Killian Road that our 2021 Toyota Sienna, which we purchased there, had two issues that needed to be resolved and were covered under warranty at the time. 1. The USB port at the front of the car is intermittent. We were advised to change cords previously, which we did and by chance we upgraded phones as well. The cords and phones all worked on other ports in the car. That port is the only problem. We informed them it needed to be changed. 2. The passenger side middle seat will not properly latch down. We were told that parts needed to be ordered and they would call us. Over the next year we had oil change appointments and each time were told they would check on the parts progress to no avail. On April 16, 2024 we took our car in to have a tire changed, which was covered. We asked the staff to check on the USB port and the seat. When we picked up the car, we were told the warranty had run out on these issues and there would be a charge of $192.89. We were never asked if we wanted to proceed with this diagnostic given the warranty lapse and were made to pay the money. My husband reminded the manager he spoke with that we had been reminding them of the issues for a year. The manager said you'll need to take it up with corporate. I posted a Google review and sent a review to Toyota of the company outlining the incident. The general manager called and said he would fix the issues for free if we took down the review. On April 30, 2024 he called my husband and said he would no longer fix the issues because the Toyota review could not be removed. In essence, this was retribution for my honest review of the situation, all of which could have been avoided had they fixed the issues while it was under warranty. I believe we deserve a refund of the funds, as well as the two issues to be resolved for free. read more

I am a long time Toyota customer, last 4 vehicles all have been Toyota. I wanted to give the local dealer my business (support local businesses), what a mistake. I had the worst experience with a service dept. in over 40 years. My experience with the Service Manager ensures that I will never consider Midland's Toyota for future purchases or service. Clearly they have more business than they need, if Managers can be rude, arrogant and condescending to customers, not a way to build local customer base. I can only imagine that their CSI is one of he lowest in the network. It is unfortunate that business have to resolve themselves to putting low level employees in management positions. I asked for his business card and name he refused both, I asked for the GM's business card to follow-up, his card was also unavailable.
