The coffee here is very tasty and flavorful. The beans are fresh and the syrups are made in house! Such a cool set up, very clean and nice place to study. I got the iced brown sugar shaken espresso. The staff was very attentive from the second we walked in they talked to us the whole time and tried to figure out what we normally drink then guided us to what to choose on the menu. Great ambiance, the space is really unique to eat, enjoy coffee & hang out! Coffee was amazing! I got the Shaken Brown Sugar Latte and it reminded me of Starbucks' version of brown sugar latte... but better :) the coffee was strong and the brown sugar flavor was very prominent! We tried the burritos-- it tasted good but I thought it was a little small for the price of $11.99. It was also a little disappointing that we got charged $.50 cents for a small container of salsa (which I think should always be included with any breakfast burrito) and $.25 for a small container of hot sauce (cholula) when they had tapatio bottles available at the condiment station. If you are going to charge extra for condiments, I think it's good business practice to tell your customers that you charge for them before you offer it. Overall, I would definitely go back for the coffee & lattes! read more

This location hit the spot! When it came to wanting a nice cup of coffee and just something simple to eat. We were able to enjoy a sort of a brunch style charcuterie, board with our coffee and just sit and enjoy the locals coming in and ordering their coffee or there Breakfast/brunch for that hour. It took us to wraparounds to confirm the proper parking for this building which is located in the rear and the location is located upstairs were inside your presented with a modern/schoolhouse/modern farmhouse type decor. I guess you could say I know there's another word for it but either way Presentation was good. I definitely enjoyed the freshness of the charcuterie board. There's plenty of seating inside as well. There is the bar seating. There is the medium high bar style seating. There's a window bar seating and there's traditional seating and some out of a separate off to the side room. There is one post on the wall for food and another menu post on the wall for your drink choices. Staffing was fairly nice and greeted every time. Someone walked in the door which I feel is very inviting and important for a customer service aspect. The pricing also was, really good. I was kind of shot on how reasonable the price on the charcuterie board was. Thinking about where your next cuppa Joe is coming from give this place to shop. You might like the hype. read more

My first choice was another nearby coffee shop but I couldn't find parking! So off I went, in search of another. I landed here, at Midnight Coffee Roasting and was immediately pleased with all the available parking. Long staircase at the rear of the property (but there's elevators too) to access the coffee shop. Cool vibes music playing on speakers, laid back vibe overall. Great drink and food menus with house specials. I chose a hot latte with the house made brown sugar syrup. YUM! One, very personable, guy behind the counter. He greeted me, took my order, made my drink, processed the payment... EVERYTHING! He might be the owner. The coffee was superb. The brown sugar syrup was just sweet enough. Fantastic cup on a cold breezy day. Wish I was a local. Looks like lots of things go on here. At least I know where to go when I make it back to Reno. read more

My friend and I had dinner and wanted to keep hanging out, so we stopped in here for a night cap around 10:00 PM. I had the Pumpkin Bandit Latte. It was delicious! Nice and creamy, and not too sweet. The barista was very friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of seating and a nice mix of music playing in the background at a good volume. I love that they make their syrups in-house, and they don't charge extra for non-dairy milk. Will definitely come again! read more

I am faced with a real dilemma. But I'll get to that later. I've been trying to get here for months. The stairs gave me pause so I called because I thought I remembered there were 2 locations. I was thrilled to learn there's an elevator at the Virginia location. I finally got there and am I ever glad I did. The staff is amazing. The roaster was there so not only did I get a tour of the roasting area but also a delightful conversation about coffee. Not only that but also was offered a free expresso shot. Yum! And speaking of yum... I made my first pot of "Blackbird's Brew" which is a dark roast of Peruvian beans. And now for my dilemma... I love Laughing Cat. If you have read my review of them you already know. Midnight Coffee rises to the same level so now I've got to make a choice. When I learned that both are friendly with each other my choice is even harder. So my choice is to alternate between the two. As for the physical location, there is plenty of parking. Inside is comfortable. The elevator is really necessary. Reno has changed a lot since I moved here 10 years ago. One of the best changes is we now have great coffee choices and Midnight Coffee is one of them. read more

Visiting in Reno and found this coffee house. Very quaint and lovely spot! Staff was extremely friendly both times I stopped in, just for coffee though. I ordered the purple haze latte...it was so yummy! I went to order a lavender latte the next time, but reverted back to the purple haze because I haven't had that anywhere else! My new favorite coffee house! I frequent coffee places where ever we travel and this one checks all the boxes. Most importantly, atmosphere - its super cozy with high tables and mountain views out large windows, brick walls, warm and inviting. Coffee is excellent. I got the Brown Sugar latte which already comes with oatmilk (they don't charge extra for that!) Staff welcoming, friendly, cups made with expertise. Wifi works great too. Lemon late w oat milk.. I ask for extra homemade lemon syrup - like an espresso w a twist . Hot or cold, I just love it. Really great view and atmosphere. The first time we went the burrito and coffee was great. Today, we went and the coffee was great again but the burrito was completely different. Whoever is in the kitchen today shouldn't be. The burrito was dry and mostly burnt potatoes with a weird taste. Barely any egg or cheese and it was falling apart because it was barely wrapped.
