    Greek pizza of the day

Actually the best pizza I've ever eaten. The staff was really nice and attentive. It can be a little loud in there but there's a lot of people and I enjoy those environments. They have an outdoor area as well. Overall great experience and we will be back!

Midnight Oil is a great spot- they have got a good amount of room but it fills up fast!! The service is quick, pizza is great, and drinks are awesome too. Definitely recommend when in the neighborhood for a slice!

Went in for one slice, ended up eating 7. The Sweet Heat should come with a warning label -- it's dangerously good.

We met some friends here many months ago but they weren't able to accommodate our friends who had a child in need of a booster seat/high chair.* So it's been on our list to try and I swung by recently with another friend for a late Saturday lunch. We were both very impressed. I started with a Caesar salad which was really good. I ordered a whole pie as I planned to take the bulk of it home for the household later--our server warned me it would be large (and it was). My friend ordered a few different slices. You really get your money's worth here as two pieces will fill most folks up, each slice is huge. I ordered the triple meat. The crust is thin but not too thin, the cheese has a good pull, and the sauce is perfect. The triple meat? Delicious. Pepperoni, a spicy sausage, and tiny crispy bacon bits. On reheat in the oven later it was just as good. I'd love to try the buffalo and white pizza on a future visit. Whole pies have 8 huge pieces and set you back barely more than $20. The fact you can also buy it by the slice for less than $4 a slice is incredible. Service was friendly. They have the basic water, tea, soda and what appears to be a healthy variety of rotating draft cocktails and beers on tap. Parking is minimal, so you'll be looking for street parking most likely but a lot of free options in the area even on Saturdays. *We spotted a family with an infant in a booster, so perhaps they were just out of them when we last swung by or have added them since.

Delicious. Loud. Lots of TVs. I ordered a slice of the Hot Honey and White. Both were divine! Two slices was perfect portions if you're fairly hungry. My friend ordered the gluten free honey heat pizza--it was significantly smaller than the non-gluten free but tasted VERY good! I went with friends on a Wednesday evening and it was PACKED and very loud. The waitress was kind but clearly a bit swamped. Atmosphere was casual and felt a bit sports-bar-ish.

The best pizza in Nashville. I crave their Sweet Heat pizza constantly. Their service is amazing, everyone that works there is so friendly and great. Their patio is dog friendly too!

Verdict: one of the, if not the, best pizzas in Nashville with an easy, laid-back vibe and friendly service. And you can get it by the slice! This is probably my wife's and I's top pizza place in the city. It sits in the North Nations and is incredibly close to our house, there's both indoor and outdoor seating (covered porch outside, better if you have kids), and pizza by the slice. We always start with an order of the cheese sticks then usually just grab a slice of pizza each, with a shared slice for us + our toddler. The sweet heat pizza is my absolute favorite; the mix of savory (cheese and meat), sweet (honey), and spicy (jalapenos) just can't be beat. Drop by, grab a local beer on tap, a slice of pizza, and enjoy chatting with friends. Seriously, it can't be beat. Lots of TVs and a full bar inside too if you can't sit outside, but we try to because it's not as loud. Parking can be annoying when it's extra busy, but we eat at AARP times because of our son, so it's usually not a problem for us.

Pizza by the slice?! Count me in! Parking on the street or their small lot. Heard about this spot and decided to pick up and go - it was very packed and loud - sports bar vibes with lots of tvs around - great for gathering! The server was so kind and it was very fast. Went with the Sweet Heat & Buffalo Chicken. I have had a hard time finding good pizza in Nashville & this blew me away! I LOVE the crust, the consistency, the flavors! I liked both equally for their own unique flavor. So good and can't wait to return with friends!

    Pizza

Food was gross, water came out of the tap and tasted gross, pizza was burnt, ordered by the slice and it obviously sitting there all day waiting to get charred for thier next guest, the couple behind us ordered a full pie, it looked delicious, but ours was black in spots and burnt tasting, they got my order wrong but they fixed it with another lousy slice, waitress was very attentive to my friend when I was in the restroom but when we switched spots I got ignored, would have loved to hear about the menu and our bad descion to order by the slice. This is a bar folks with mediocre bar food, it is not a restaurant with good food and comfortable seats,if you want good pizza I recommend leaving Donelson. I place I live and love, but please can we get some decent restaurants?

This is the best anytime hangout spot to grab a beer and pizza. Bartenders are all really cool people. It's always busy and service can get a little backed up during peak hours. Don't skip the cheesy bread!! There's always a slice of the month, June is pork carnitas and it is truly the perfect slice. Is this where you go if you want a "fancy" pizza, no. But the flavors can't be beat for a cheap eat. Plus, the pizzas are MASSIVE and you will have lots of leftovers to take home!!

What's the parking situation for midnight oil?

There is a small number of parking spots (maybe 10?) right in front, shared with the deli next door. There is also street parking adjacent to the restaurant. Other lots in the vicinity are reserved for other businesses.

Frankie's -- Our New Go-To Italian Restaurant!…read more Frankie's is definitely not a restaurant you want to judge by its cover. Walking in, we honestly didn't have the highest expectations--but our perspective changed very quickly! The service was friendly, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. Our waitress walked my wife through the cocktail options, while the sommelier offered to take our bottle of wine and chill it in their cellar. Those little touches made a great first impression. And the food? An absolute 10! As our waitress highlighted the menu, I asked if they had bruschetta. They didn't, but she suggested combining two dishes to create our own--and we did! Their Heirloom Tomato Salad was fantastic, especially paired with their olive oil. The flavor was terrific. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Tennessee Corn Ravioli with Crispy Prosciutto, and I had the Cavatelli with Hot Sausage and Browned Sage Butter. Both were absolutely fantastic. Since moving here, we've been looking for our "go-to" Italian restaurant--and we found it! Overall, we couldn't have been happier. The food was a 10/10, and the service and care from our waitress and the management were excellent. We'll be back over and over and over! Our only suggestion: as the sun sets, several tables get hit with direct sunlight. A little shade would make the experience even better and keep guests from getting blinded during dinner. But that's a very small issue compared with how great everything else was. Frankie's is a winner!

Frankie's has been on my list of places to try for some time. Talon was an excellent guide. My…read moredaughter and I decided to go at happy hour, and shared several good plates. The Bianca bread has nice flavor, but ours was rather charred. The meat and cheese plate is a good sampling for 2-3. The seasonal pasta with Tennessee was delicious but overly salty. I wanted the corn to shine a bit more, but the crunchy prosciutto takes over. The cavatelli with spicy sausage is a rich, oily dish with gummy texture. I wouldn't get that dish again. Dessert was a perfect end. The peach cake is not too sweet, while the chocolate tort is rich and happy. Service was great, and the interior is refined, warm, and restrained.

We stopped in at Five Points Pizza - West Nashville…read more.. Had high hopes for this place but it got off to a rocky start. When my son and I came in it was busy. We were told to stand in the back. After a few minutes it was evident we were "in the way." What appeared to be a manager asked us if we were on the list. I had not been asked for any information about a list. So.... we stood around for about fifteen minutes before we were even put on the list. What was supposed to be a ten minute wait turned into a twenty five minute wait. We went straight for the classic pepperoni and sausage. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside with a nice chew inside, and the pepperoni had that slightly spicy, savory kick that makes it hard to stop at just one slice. The sausage was finely ground and flavorful. The sauce leaned a little on the sweeter side, which balanced well with the salty toppings. I also had a Greek salad with prosciutto. It was very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and nearly uncomfortable due to the noise. Fredrick kept things moving quickly even with a busy crowd. He was awesome. Prices felt fair for the quality, and the portions were generous. Overall, a solid spot for pizza in Nashville--especially if you're craving a straightforward pepperoni pie done right. Not quite a five‑star "wow" moment, and whoever works the front desk should be trained better, but definitely worth coming back for another round.
