Really good! Came here with a group of friends and ordered a bunch of dishes and everything was fantastic and our server was great and attentive. For startes we shared the bread and oil, a ceasar salad, and the burrata with sea salt. The ONLY thing of the whole meal I didn't like was the bread was cold and I wish it was served warm. For entres we got to share: eggplant marinara, cavatelli with hot sausage and brown butter sage, gnocci marinara with ricotta, bolognese, and the meatballs. The meatballs and bolognese were fantastic and the gnocci was cooked perfectly! Would definitely recommend! We had a group of 6 and this was the perfect amount of food and a lot to sample!

Bottega review - it's 20 after 11. Stopped in for a sandwich. Closed sign on the door but I noticed someone checking out. Tried to order a sandwich...the guy says I have to run over to the pizza place for product. Then it will be another 15-20 mins for a sandwich. I walked out. If you open at 11 that means you're open and ready to go! Not "sorry you have to wait until I get my life together." Sidenote, I tried to come once in the past when they advertise that they opened at noon and they were closed so this is 2×2 strikes.

This pizza is spot on. I tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago. I was so impressed that I went back yesterday. We ordered a supreme pizza on the first visit. First of all, the crust is so thin and crispy. Just delicious. The pizza slices are huge. We ate on the pizza all night. We chose to eat in and while we were waiting the employee....maybe the owner...gave us another slice to try....vodka sauce with pancetta and basil. OmG. I almost wished I would have ordered that instead. I am a supreme, pepperoni, oe sausage and pepperoni girl but that made me rethink my life choices. So of course the next visit I ordered the vodka pizza. I was a little nervous because the other worker was not there and I wanted it to taste the same. Well, I was not disappointed. It was just as good as the first. This place will definitely be in my rotation. Ok Five Points...I may have a new number 1.

Great NY pizza! I am a pizza snob and this pizza is amazing. I felt like I was eating a slice out of the village. The marinara and sauce is incredible. The dough is perfection! My husband and I were both shocked this plane was not blown out with people. We had the pep, pesto and Sicilian. All were great! The ricotta cheesecake was amazing too!

My wife and I love that more and more restaurants from NYC are expanding to Nashville and Frankies is a great addition. We've tried both the dine-in restaurant and the take out Pizzeria and both are great! Service was excellent at both and the food is very, very good as well. We enjoyed the roasted cauliflower, broccoli rabe, and the cavatelli with sausage and sage butter, all of which were very flavorful and cooked well. We've tried the Sicilian and classic pies at the pizzeria and both were good, but the classic round pie was the best. Frankies is a very nice restaurant overall and we'll definitely be back. Salute!

I've been wanting to try this place and we finally made it. This review is for the restaurant and not for the pizzeria next door. The interior is warm and inviting with a full bar and they also have umbrella covered tables outside. The staff were friendly and helpful as we had a few questions about the menu. We were told that menu does change depending on the season. We had 3 dishes , 2 soups along with some bread and an a' la carte meatball. Everything was flavorful and fresh. My wife wasn't diggin on the meatball, but me and my granddaughter liked it. They serve the full menu 7 days a week and do Brunch on the weekends. Free parking at the apartments next door. They offer Salumi, soups, housemade pastas, tasting plates, salads, sandwiches, classics and desserts.

We ordered a to-go pizza from Frankies and were very impressed! The pizza was both simple yet delicious. The crust was done perfectly and is thin. This is a perfect way to feed 4 people and everyone walk away full and happy. Highly recommend for a delivery pizza spot although I cant speak to their actual location.

I catered Frankie's for a dinner party. 10/10!! The pasta was sooooo good and the pizza was incredible!

This review is specifically for the Pizzeria not the restaurant. We first got very confused walking into the restaurant to then realize they do not serve Pizza and it was next door. Very confusing but apparently everyone makes the mistake! Pizzeria side is very stereotypical pizza place with options. We did like that you could order by the slice which is different for Nashville. This is very much a New York adopted option. Pizza is very good for Nashville I will say, does not compare to the real thing of NY slices but I don't think that exists out here. My one gripe is the price, we spend almost 30 dollars on 4 plain slices and 2 cokes. The pizza was close but not close enough imo, nice and thin but not enough cheese to sauce ratio, the slice was burnt as well. I think they put it in the oven too long, crust was tough to bite down on. Did fill the ny slice craving.

Service was AMAZING our waitress was so knowledgeable on everything from the food to the wine on the menu. I got the gnocchi and it was like cloud melting in my mouth. The whole restaurant was warm and cozy. Excited to come back!!

Finally tried out the Italian dining side of Frankie's! Both of our pastas were great and I'd love to come back and try their other dishes. Our server was very friendly and the food came out extremely quick! Loved the vibe inside and definitely want to try out their pizza on the other side.

We got frankie's big green salad, bread and olive oil, zephyr squash with pesto, silver queen corn ravioli with crispy prosciutto and lemon, and linguine with spicy marinara and Alabama blue crab. The salad was ok. It was a little too zesty for me. The bread and oil were just regular bread and olive oil. The zephyr squash with pesto is a cold dish and was really good. The silver queen corn ravioli with crispy prosciutto and lemon was good too. I didn't think the prosciutto was gonna be in small bits but the pasta itself was refreshing. The linguine with spicy marinara and Alabama blue crab was also tasty. It wasn't spicy to me and had a decent amount of blue crab. Generally speaking, Frankie's is light and refreshing - how real Italian food in Italy tastes. Service was also good.

To go pizza; Pepperoni Pie, squash pie, cheese pizza.

Love love love eating here. Amazing ambiance at both the restaurant and the pizzeria. The gnocchi is some of the best gnocchi I've had! This is also one of my favorite ceaser salads in town. The pizza is delish and to go slices are always very fast! Only deducting one star because when ordering the ceaser to go the price is the same but the quantity and cheese type are not the same which is disappointing.

I walked by it a couple times oblivious to the magic inside, I am so glad I took the suggestion and finally walked in. First off it is a wine bar, and really thats it. Full license for liquor and beer, but they are focused on wine and they know their stuff. It was so nice to be served wine by someone in a tshirt and without the snobbiness of terrior, just a glass and company to enjoy it. On to the details: There is a menu, half just bites like olives but there is a solid burger toward the bottom, They have a patio out back (I heard, but well over ninety degrees even at night I took their word for it. The pool table in back was nice, but a couple glasses if wine in, I know my limits. There was a couple recod players and a great vinyl collection in the corner, but the soundtrack playing was great so I never needed to peruse the collection. Once the place filled up (and it did, apparently it doesn't need any signs for the ones in the know to find it) it dod get pretty warm, the A/C units barely kept up, but it was neevr unpleasant. Word is the back patio also has another building that may become a cocktail bar in the future and I can't wait for that...

On top of that, our server was hands down the best we've had in a long time. The drink menu was a little limited, but every cocktail we tried tasted really good. We started with the Caesar salad, and honestly that was the one miss of the night. It had a bit of a weird taste to it. Everything after that was fantastic though. I got the lamb chop and my fiancé got the filet, and both were cooked to perfection. For sides, the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts were standouts that I highly recommend. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and two iced coffees. The coffee was good but the food was, honestly, borderline inedible and not at all what we expected. What was even more disappointing was the response when our server asked how everything was. We were honest and told her we didn't like the food. Her only response was, "Awww," before walking away. There was no offer to make it right, no follow-up, and no manager checked on us. When our table was cleared, our plates were still nearly full. For a bill of around $100 for brunch for two, I expected much better food and customer service. The beautiful setting wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing meal and lack of concern when we shared our experience.

I was then informed that if I wanted food, I would need to return to the other side of the venue to place that order. As a paying customer, I found this interaction unnecessarily dismissive and unhelpful. My destination within the establishment should not determine whether a staff member is willing to serve me. The service throughout the evening was disappointing. The bartenders appeared overwhelmed, unfriendly, and unwilling to provide basic customer service. For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes. Service at the bar was a little slow, but I honestly felt bad because there was only one bartender handling an increasingly busy bar. Despite that, the food actually came out fairly quickly. The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

The bench seating was firm, but plenty of pillows, so, although seated a little high, it was great. Chairs were fine as well. Service was great, our server was super friendly and really knew the menu and could speak not just to what we asked, but also made some great suggestions. Now, pretty sure this menu is super seasonal, so my choices may not be available when you read this, but highlights: Wood Fired Bread with Anchovy butter: solid, crusty (but not too) with a rich whipped butter, devoured quickly, but enjoyed the light smoke char. Snapper Crudo: Okay, the peaches threw me when I read the menu, but they were fantastic! Just a little spice on the agua chile, perfectly cured fish and really nice presentation. Tomato Salad: Perfectly ripe and sweet, the cherries and olives were easy to confuse until you bite into them, but they were both fantastic Wood Roasted Carrot: the carrots were a little inconsistent in size, and thus in softness. They were all good, but some were absolute heaven Octopus: generous portion, and perfectly cooked. The wood fire was not overbearing as it didn't taste smoked or burnt. just a great dish. Parisian Gnocchi: Didn't interest me on the menu, ordered as a recommendation and even though by this point I was not at all hungry, it was fully devoured. The snapper was great, however we did enjoy the Whiskey rebellion, an old fashioned and a tommy's margarita, so this dish was fantastic, but the memory is a bit fuzzy. Desserts are a not to miss, and the peach cobbler (foreshadowed but the fantastic peaches in the crudo) delivered in a great way to end a great meal. Thank you again for a great time!!!

Must try brunch spot in German town. This restaurant is included in the Chase Sapphire Reserve…read moredining credit (as of June 2026) and it is totally worth it. We were able to try a few of their brunch menu options and loved them all. The oyster selection is phenomenal and the descriptions they provide are really helpful and accurate! My favorite was the breakfast sandwich! I can't wait to come back and try out their lunch and dinner as well!
