Hey! I just went to this ramen spot nearby and honestly, it's probably my top few places I've tried in Toronto so far. Genuinely the BEST ramen I've ever had! 4 stars because the appetizer flight was underwhelming but the pork bone ramen is a solid 10/10. I rarely finish any leftover broth when I go for noodle soup but I wiped that bowl clean, lol. My friend and I ordered a fried appetizer flight which included chicken karaage, takoyaki, and chicken gyoza. The presentation was great, takoyaki was above average and gyoza was good as well, can't go wrong with that, but it wasn't anything memorable. But the karaage was pretty bland, didn't have the same crispiness or style of breading I'd typically expect from other Japanese spots so I wasn't a huge fan of that. My honest suggestion would be to just skip the appetizers entirely and go straight into the ramen as that's their specialty anyway. Plus, the portion sizes are very generous, even though we split an app it still felt like a lot of food. Now for the ramen, I ordered the Signature Tori Paitan with thin noodles and BROOO. I swear it was the best tonkotsu ramen I've had yet (at least in the West), and I've tried a lot of ramen restaurants across the US and Canada (haven't been to Japan yet but I'd like to imagine this would be close). The noodles were fresh and chewy, the broth was rich and super creamy without being disgustingly greasy (ifykyk). Chashu was delicious as well, I usually prefer pork chashu but the chicken was actually my favorite between the two, it was really impressive to eat chicken breast THAT flavorful while also being soft and juicy. I wish they gave at least one or two more slices of meat because the protein portion was very small. The other toppings were a great addition, bringing the right amount of freshness to balance out the broth. My friend ordered the Truffle Tonkotsu ramen and that was delicious as well. VERY heavy truffle flavor with oil, paste, and shavings being used- so if you're not used to the earthiness and richness of truffle, I'd suggest to order the paste on the side or something. She got hers with thick noodles and I actually liked her noodles more than my own! They only had one dessert available which we skipped, but overall the dining experience at this place was great! We would definitely come again when we're in the area, probably just to order the ramen by itself. Solid ramen restaurant - the space itself is bright and clean, and the ramen is decent. They have a good selection of appetizers, although the portions are a bit small. The purple yam fries are very good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - they pair perfectly with the honey butter dipping sauce! We tried the signature ramen, the truffle ramen and the gyudon. The broth base seems to be the same for all the ramen options, which is creamy but not particularly flavourful. food is great the taste is really good. i did give 3 stars as there are 2 things i didnt like. First is the serving of the meat. the slice of the meat is as thin as a bacon but when i see from food influencers it is a chunk of meat. it is false advertising when food influencers have the great serving but regular customers dont have the same serving. I honestly did give this a try as i saw one food influencer promoting it. My husband and I were shopping at Ikea in North York and decided to grab a quick dinner. We stumbled upon this highly-rated ramen place, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I was very excited to see Midori come to North York as I have seen many of its IG stories. The food looked amazing on IG. First, packaging is great. Noodles on the top tray and soup in the bottom bowl. We bought 5 bowls + tako wasabi. Duck, signature and black garlic. While the proteins were all well cooked (pork char siu had a nice torched taste to it, chicken and duck were tender). Sadly none of us really enjoyed the creamy chicken soup. Soup just tasted salty without complexity or umami. To me, the soup is the essence of the ramen. I found their pricing a bit more steep than other comparative ramen shops ranging between $16.5 to $22 a bowl. With so many ramen options nearby, Midori wouldn't be my first choice after this experience. read more

Let me start this review by saying I love Midori ramen. This is my most favourite Ramen chain to go to. We go to the Scarborough location frequently prior to this location opening. We were super excited for this location to open, which is closer to where we live. However, this location has not got it together since opening. I have been to this location six times now. On four visits, they messed up our orders (eg missing items or swapped items), which is annoying but not a deal breaker because we did not feel ripped off. On the last visit, the broth for all the orders were very watered down without the rich flavour that usually we love and the reason we frequent this ramen chain. When we politely told the server, they did not try to address the issue and did not tell the kitchen. The server simply said ok and walked away. We did not finish our bowls (ate toppings but not soup or noodles) and the server did not address. We will not be coming back to this location anytime soon. I hope they can improve and meet the same standard the other locations maintain. So disappointing. read more

Because I went on their first day, there were a few hiccups which is understandable. I think the food is good, the service just needs to improve a bit. Went on their grand opening day around 1:00pm, got in the restaurant at 1:30pm. It was fairly busy and the restaurant is quite small. It's quite loud in the store, there's music, other guests and the sounds of the kitchen. When we were seated, it took a bit of a while for the waitress to get us water. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food. I understand that it is opening day so there may be a bit of a delay, but it was discouraging to see other people get their food first when they came in after us. Maybe it was because my brother and I removed toppings from ramen. I asked for no red radish as well and it came with it, but I had already waited so long for my food that I just removed it myself. It's not that a big deal for me since it's a preference, but if it was an allergy then it would be concerning. Either way it was kind of discouraging, but I get that it was their first day opening. The food was pretty good, same as the other location at Vaughan. I think the portions may have been a bit smaller but it was very filling nonetheless, and I couldn't finish it. For a BOGO, it was very good. I ended up paying $23 for two ramen bowls. read more
