We ordered a fried rice two fried rice we ordered two fried rice and one Singapore rice noodle. I asked for light heat and there was no heat at all. for $50 bill they should've made extra rice or something. It should've fed two or three adults and a child. Who is no one else eating there. We moved to Lake Stevens a year ago and recently discovered this teriyaki joint. We were surprised at all the excellent reviews and gave it a try. We've gone twice so far. First visit we ate the spicy teriyaki meal. The second visit I tried the combo of chicken Katsu and General Tsao Chicken. Pros: OMG my combo was amazing and flavorful. The chicken Katsu was nice and crispy and I do like white chicken. The general Tsao sauce was bursting with flavor. I ate my whole meal and one sitting. They do take decent time prepping meals which means they cook fresh and want to put out quality food! Cons: My husband and I have one construction criticism: there needs to be more spice sauce on the spicy chicken. We've ordered the spicy chicken twice now and both times were dry on the sauce. She asked for me to pay cash and I did to help them with business. They have been located here in Lake Stevens for 20+ years. My first time trying and they didn't disappoint. I've had a lot of teriyaki in my life and when I showed up to pick up she opened the boxes and showed me and offered to put sauce on my white rice served with the spicy teriyaki and I said yes and so glad I did. I feel like this place has gone down hill. It used to be your run of the mill, hits the spot when the craving strikes kind of place here in lake stevens. But......... we tried it recently and the chicken was very fatty. The yokisoba was very very greasy and the rice was really over cooked. It was pretty expensive for the quality we got. Best teriyaki hands down. Been going here since I was in middle school. So about 22 years now I guess. Haven't tried the sushi but probably won't because I go somewhere else for great sushi. When I crave teriyaki though....I will always go here rather then any other place. I have tried many too because I'm obsessed with teriyaki. The only other place that I will go and is somewhat close to the quality and taste is Oishi in Everett. If I stay in lake Stevens though.....I don't care for the teriyaki diner by jack in box. Yumiko is usually to burned for me and isn't as tasty for some reason. Japan teriyaki on the south side of the lake is okay but not worth it in my opinion. read more

Apparently my vegetarian stir fry order was just a huge 3 course to go box of fried rice. My kids were happy with their chicken teriyaki while I ate my egg rolls. First time here, but I won't be going back. The cooks were sitting on the dirty floor in back playing cards. No masks in the kitchen at all. I am sure this place is good, however I am a delivery driver and this was the first and only restaurant that was super rude! I arrived before pick up time which most places know some drivers do and they take a seat and wait not a big deal. Not with this place! As soon as I walked in the cook literally screamed in front of everyone THE FOOD IS NOT READY! YOU SAID 2:43!!! In front of the entire place! I hadn't even said a word just walked in. Another customer looked at him like he was crazy! It's not a big deal if the order isn't ready. Either way this is no way to treat anyone who comes into your establishment. I'm guessing he didn't want a bad rating because his food wasn't ready as soon a driver shows up. They give you a window of time for a reason. Well Mr. Midori Cook here's your 1 STAR. The food was absolutely appalling order for shrimp combo yakisoba was so full of sand and no other meat, if I ordered just mini shrimp they delivered with tons of sand which says the shrimp were improperly cleaned or prepared. Consistently good teriyaki joint tucked into a strip mall in Lake Stevens. I usually get the spicy chicken teriyaki with fried rice and it's got just the right amount of sweet, spice, and well-seasoned wok char to be really delicious. Gyoza is great as well. We were starving trying to decide on what to grab for dinner (for 7 people), and my daughter's boyfriend was set on ordering from Midori's. I had only eaten food from here twice before, both times being in a rush and not ordering ahead. The previous two times our food took forever, because the place was busy and they had several to go orders, so I called in our lengthy order before I left home. I was convinced something would be incorrect on our order, just because there were so many items and it was hard to hear on the phone. When I arrived there were quite a few to go orders, but the lady at the counter greeted me with a huge smile and said my order was just coming up. She went over each item with me as she rang it up, and as she packed it in our bags. Each order was exactly as we had requested, and when we got home to eat, the food was delicious. 7 out of 7 happy eaters is unheard of around here! I am quite impressed with Midori Teriyaki, and relieved to finally have a decent teriyaki spot in the north end. I've seriously tried every teriyaki joint in Snoho and Lake Steven's and have been unsatisfied. Midori has friendly service, great prices and good food. The spicy chicken teriyaki is breast meat, not that gross thin fatty dark meat some places use. It also had a nice spice to it, but I could use more. The rice sticky and delicious, especially drizzled with some teriyaki sauce, which they bring to the table. The fried gyoza is a steal at 3.75 for 8 pieces. They were nice and crisp with a tasty juicy filling. Totally stop by if you're in the area, or if you're living in Snoho like me and looking for good teriyaki! read more
