I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed Snohomish Teriyaki before because I've been here many times, dating back to high school in the early 2000s. In fact, it may be where I first developed my love for teriyaki. I continued to eat teriyaki through my years at the University of Washington and then I moved to San Diego and found that teriyaki is not as popular in other areas of the country. I now tell all my friends who visit the PNW that they must add teriyaki to their must-eat lists, as it is on mine whenever I visit my hometown. We picked up three chicken teriyakis to go for my mom, dad, brother and I to share. In hindsight, two would have been sufficient for the meal but leftover teriyaki is never a bad thing. If only it weren't my last day in town or I would have happily eaten it the next day. The chicken teriyaki continues to be as delicious and plentiful as it did back in the day. I've always been able to make one serving last for 2 to 3 meals, which makes it a great affordable meal. I'm already dreaming about my next visit.

Best local spot for quick and delicious teriyaki, for a price you can't beat! The only problem is when dumb dumbs like me place an order and forget to pick it up!! Luckily I'm off the wall of shame and able to enjoy this delicious teriyaki once again! Sorry to the family for my mistake, but I should've given you 5 stars a long time ago!

After I ordered, the wait for the food wasn't long and the portions were good sized. The lady taking orders was very friendly and accommodating to customers. Happy I stopped by for lunch!

Chicken teriyaki with a salad which you can see has little to no dressing on it like who wants to eat plain lettuce crammed in a container. The teriyaki was dry cause they put no sauce on at the end like they were trying to ration their supplies, and gave one container of teriyaki sauce to go which wasn't full just half full. Rice had no sauce on it. I'm assuming they made this meal as dry as possible so you come back and buy more teriyaki sauces to go. And why are the drinks so expensive. Lady who runs the front lacks personality

The food here is so good! My favorite is to get the chicken teriyaki! The strawberry bubble tea with boba is another really good one!

The food wasn't bad but the service was not very friendly and they will have to clean and dust their decor before I will want to return.

High hopes, but left underwhelmed…read more I visited Akane Ramen in Mill Creek for the first time during peak lunch hours and was surprised to find only one other party dining there. We were seated quickly and service was prompt throughout the meal. 1) We started with the Garlic Beef Chahan (fried rice). It came in a generous portion and had decent flavor, but it was a bit oilier than I would have liked. I also didn't notice any green onions, which could have helped brighten up both the flavor and presentation. Visually, it was pretty much just brown on brown. It wasn't bad, but it's probably something I'd skip on a return visit. 2) For my entrée, I ordered the Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen with an extra side of noodles. The ramen arrived piping hot and fairly quickly. Unfortunately, despite specifically asking for the extra noodles on the side, they were added directly into the bowl. Not a huge issue, but a little disappointing. The noodles themselves had a nice texture, and the pork was decent. The biggest letdown was the broth. I found it surprisingly bland and lacking the depth and richness that I look for in a good bowl of ramen. It needed more seasoning and overall flavor to bring everything together. It made me think of dirty dish water. Oh yeah, they also cheated me by not adding in the egg. Just noticed that as I am writing my review and looking at the picture. Overall, I had high hopes for a ramen spot so close to home, but I left feeling underwhelmed. Maybe it was just an off day, but for now, I'm willing to drive a little farther for a truly memorable bowl of ramen. There are better options out there for those looking to satisfy a ramen craving.
