Cleodia was always quick to respond and very informative. My husband and I did the tasting ($120) and loved all the items that Chef Brian cooked up. We especially liked the mango cucumber salad--so refreshing and delicious!! It might sound weird that the salad was our favorite, but we usually tend to like vegetables and fruits more than meat dishes. Which is also why I really enjoyed the vegetarian entree (risotto) a lot as well. We ended up choosing another company that offered other planning and decorations services because we are planning remotely and figured we need as much help as possible. We hired Claudia and her staff for my mother's memorial service lunch on 3/5/22, since they had done a great job at our son's wedding a few years ago. We were very happy with them. There were about 100 guests expected. They responded quickly to all emails, were gracious and thoughtful and efficient, promptly sent updated invoices to reflect changes in our plans, and made useful suggestions re menu, tablecloths, napkins, etc. The food looked and tasted great. They accommodated my request that a lot of it be free of gluten, cilantro, and nuts. Some of our guests asked who the caterer was as they wanted to hire them as well for a future event. I'm so very disappointed to say that we were not able to use Absolute Celebrations for our wedding - we chose a venue that required we use their in house catering. We had originally chosen a venue in Santa Cruz Mountains and they do service that area which was a very pleasant surprise! Cleodia was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to work with. I probably went back and forth with her 20 times changing this and that on the estimate. I had other caterers tell me that my budget for catering was unreasonable and even TURNED AWAY (I had said $8k for 150 people, but was totally willing to push $11k if I thought it was worth it). Cleodia took my number and worked with it! She gave suggestion after suggestion to make sure that I was still happy. I can't believe they only have few reviews when they deserve thousands of 5stars! I'm thankful that Cleodia accommodate me even tho they told me they are closed till Jan15th. We had some appetizers, a lot of entrees, kids bento and beverages. EVERYTHING is so DELICIOUS. Everything I ordered is just so perfect! Our guests were sooooo happy with the food that some already emailed and started inquiring to Cleodia. They all have been raving about how good the food was! From the million questions we had, from the thousand changes that we made, she made it so much easier for us. When we told her our vision, she pictured it right away. We met Cleodia and Ryan at a wedding fair in Concord. My now husband and I are not super wedding people and all our friends and family encouraged us to go to a wedding fair to at least get an idea of what we wanted. Absolute Celebrations is the only good thing that came out of that place, because the fashion show of ugly dresses just wasn't doing it for us. What really attracted us to them was the fact that we could design our own menu, because so many caterers out there give you a list of food to choose from, much of which, is totally not to our liking. Not going to lie, they also got us hook, line and sinker with their chicken curry wonton samples at the fair. We began planning our wedding a year and a half ago, having just gotten married this past weekend. Every step of the way, Cleodia was on top of it. She emailed us reminders, checked in with us and was totally flexible and accommodating even as some details changed close to end. As someone else mentioned on here, food is VERY important to us and my family being Chinese, is very critical of whatever their put in their mouths. We asked for a specific dish, and though Chef Ryan had no idea what Aloo Gobi was, let alone cooked it, he whipped us up some for our tasting and it was delish. All our guests raved about the food and getting to create our own menu was, simply put, AMAZING. We also rented our furniture, linens and dance floor through them. SUPER EASY. Cleodia and her team are fantastic! We were hosting a banquet of 150 people for a non-profit organization and there was nothing but rave reviews about the food from everyone. I highly recommend the squash ravioli but everything else was delicious as well. A few issues arose before the event as they always do but Cleodia was extremely responsive to our emails. We were able to add extra trays of food at the last minute and despite food warmers being banned from the venue, all of our food arrived warm. Things to note, tastings are for large events only and if you are a non-profit organization don't be afraid to ask if there is special pricing. Absolute Catering helped feed us, our family, and friends on our wedding last weekend. We were so happy with every single thing that Absolute did! Absolute catered my husband's 56th birthday party at K1 Speed Indoor raceway in Dublin and the Food was OUTSTANDING!! The brisket was absolutely tender and deliciously seasoned. The guests adored it! The chicken skewers were tender and fabulous and the charcuterie tray was full of high quality meats and cheeses. The fruit was overflowing with all delicious in-season fruits perfectly ripened. The person who did the set up was very courteous, professional and made the table setting look absolutely fabulous. It was far more than I could have expected. My last post was pre-wedding day. Now I am back from my honeymoon ready to let you know what happened... Absolute Celebrations (Cleodia), is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Seriously look no further- this is the vendor of a lifetime that you don't want to pass up. Our wedding was September 10, 2016, at the Bently Reserve in SF and it went off without a hitch, or at least that we'd even be aware of... Cleodia is the epitome of customer service. She answered emails within minutes at all hours and always had an answer. I made her re-quote our wedding countless times based on a million different what-ifs and it was never an issue and the turn-around time was minutes... Each detail I covered over the last 17 months, she definitely took note of, because she hit every mark on the wedding day. We love AC staff and Cleodia. Our wedding was exceptionally impressive to pull off because they did the ceremony and reception setup, bar service, and food. Why is that impressive? The reception was in the same room as the ceremony...for 205 guests. They managed to flip an entire hall in less than an hour and a half. Not only that, it looked EXQUISITE. Truly like a fairy tale. (Pictures to come once photographer provides) Now for the service staff and food. I am a very picky person and quite difficult to please. The same can be said for about 75% of our guests. The results: people were blown away by the flavors of all the appetizers and main dishes as well as the phenomenal bar service. People barely waited for their drink and it was seamless. Main dishes were the mushroom ravioli in a truffle cream sauce as well as salmon over a bed of veggies. Guests couldn't stop raving about it! We just had our wedding this past weekend, so I couldn't wait to review Absolute Celebrations after everything turned out PERFECT! Cleodia was so helpful the entire time. Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how good the appetizers and dinner were. I even had friends text me the next day saying that the ravioli was the best that they have ever had. I had the great pleasure of working with Absolute Celebrations Catering. I was working as a wedding event coordinator at a very remote site in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I was mostly the day-of coordinator, but was also very involved with the wedding details starting a few months before the event. I exchanged a number of emails with Cleodia, the catering event coordinator, all the way up to the event. She remained very professional from the first day I met her, and then through emails (always prompt to answer my questions and follow-up), and then remained professional on the day of the event. Cleodia and her staff were also very professional. Every detail mattered to them, which I appreciated, because every detail mattered to me. They went out of their way to make sure their detailed set-up matched the theme of the wedding. It was beautiful! Cleodia and her staff kept me well-informed leading up to the event and then also the day of the event. Not only did I feel like the entire staff was very professional and well-organized, they all seemed to truly love their job. They were all a joy to work with and I got along very well with them. I felt like I could count on them throughout the entire event. I cannot compliment Chef Ryan enough! The food was spectacular. Some of the best food I have ever tasted, not just at a catered event, but compared to a high quality restaurant cuisine. And everyone I spoke with raved over how great the food was. Cleodia and Ryan were absolutely amazing. They did our wedding reception and then the after-wedding brunch this past September. From the first tasting, they went so far above and beyond to make our experience special and wonderful. We had requested nontraditional wedding food (Comfort Foods) and not only were they the only ones who really listened to us (every other caterer we did a tasting at kept giving us a chicken and fish dish), they figured out our favorite foods (mac and cheese, pulled pork) and turned them into really elegant and fabulous dishes. Plus they did it all within our budget! Cleodia was always incredibly responsive, organized, and thought of things (such as setting all the food tables with a vintage flare that really fit within our decor or getting the wine list from us ahead of time so the bartenders could learn it), I never would have.
