I learned, through my Service Advisor, Alvin Gaffney, that there was honesty and commitment to quality in an auto dealership service department. Long story short because of Mr. Gaffney, I bought my 2006 Pontiac Solstice at Midway Auto just to have Mr. Gaffney as my Service Advisor. Again in 2008, I bought my second Pontiac Solstice at Midway Auto for the same reason. Now, with over 78,000 miles on my 2008 Pontiac Solstice, I have no worries. For if there is an issue... it is just a matter of picking the phone up and Alvin Gaffney is always available with knowledge, insight, and un understanding. Manager says they will put me on the do not call list. Apparently no one listens there. I have already told them for over 2 years now. The calls don't stop. My phone number is already listed on the national do not call registry. In the last 2 years I have never inquired about anything with them, and I have never gone there for service. And after getting approved for the vehicle I wanted we went to the finance office to finish the deal. The finance department could not be more slow. Finance guy would not take no for an answer when it came to warranty and gap insurance. Finally took the down payment. Because I was tired of waiting I ended up going to another dealership we had the entire car deal complete in two hours. When I tried to get my down payment money back that's when the dealer games began... and they tried playing dumb about being able to reverse the charges then told me I had to go down to the dealership in person etc. etc. eventually the only choice left was to file charge back with Visa. It's astounding that a sales organization goes through all the expense and trouble to bring qualified customers through the door only to have them walk right back out due to poor service and bad practices. read more

Bought a 2021 Chevy work truck on 11/21/20 - the truck had 140 miles on it - two days later it broke down with major computer issues. HERE IS THE TRUCK INFO: LISTED AS NEW ON THEIR WEBSITE: SILVERADO 1500 WT TRUCK VIN: 1GCPYAEH8MZ116267 Stock: MZ116267 The customer service was horrible after the truck broke. Instead of them taking the lead and getting the vehicle towed, my husband had to sit on the MY Chevy app to try and get it towed. The APP did not work and after two hours of trying to get it towed he called back to the dealer and finally had them set everything up. The truck went into the service department. After 2 days of no phone calls, he called the service department who informed us that the computer was bad! The computer went bad on a brand new 2021 Silverado with 220 miles on it. At this point we did not feel comfortable buying this truck. I went into the dealership on Tuesday 11/24 to get a refund for the vehicle or substitute for a like vehicle. They were unwilling to make a deal on a substitute vehicle so we asked if they were willing to order the same vehicle at the same price - we were told to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for an answer. At this point the truck was titled under our names and we had yet to receive a refund. The truck was already listed back on their website as new truck when technically it was still our truck. We called GM Corporate Customer Service to file a complaint. The GM corporate service guy looked up the VIN number and said that truck was previously at Freeway Chevrolet with wiring issues. After some more research we think they sold us a used truck as new and also sold us a vehicle with known issues without disclosing the issues. We went the day after Thanksgiving to get a refund - we no longer wanted to do business with Midway. We received our refund without undoing any of the paperwork that we'd previously signed. We think the dealership can get around this because they use a third party title service. Basically they shred or tear up the title paperwork before it goes through and then they sell the vehicle as new again. After two weeks of waiting for an answer from GM corporate my husband just received their response. GM corporate basically said they cant do anything about it and it is an issue with the dealership. BUYER BEWARE. MIDWAY CHEVY does some shady business practices. Silver lining: We did get a refund for the truck and we went out and spent more money buying a reliable Toyota Tundra in lieu of a 2021 Silverado that broke with 220 miles on it. I would give MIDWAY CHEVY zero stars if it was an option. We don't want this to happen to any other consumers who are willing to spend $40,000 on a new vehicle from MIDWAY Chevrolet. He said the vehicle needed a "safety inspection" before it can be driven. I then left shortly after and was pretty upset that they just wasted my time. After I emailed about my dissatisfaction and got a return email saying I couldn't test drive a vehicle until we worked a deal and proved my credit. We have brought our car here about four times and always have a similar bad experience. The biggest issue is every time it takes at least 7 days before we get our car back. The most recent time it took 12 days to fix a blind spot sensor. After about 7 days, I called them multiple times per day for estimates of completion. Each time I called I was told they would get an answer and call me back. They never called me back a single time in 5 days. If anyone working there reads this and thinks I'm lying, I would be happy to bring my phone in and share my call history. A couple of days I gave up on waiting and drove my other car into the drop off line just so I could talk to someone. That was a very effective strategy, but sad it had to come to that. On the day I was finally able to pick up the car, I had a joke prepared for when they brought out the car. I was going to say something like "that's not my car...oh wait, yes it is...It's been so long since I've seen it, I forgot what it looked like." I didn't get to tell my joke because they actually brought out the wrong car! That was the perfect ending to a really bad experience. By the way, I give myself zero stars for continuing to bring my car there and expecting a different result. This was definitely the last time. read more

However, it's how a company responds when something doesn't go right that really shows you the integrity of that company. After my initial interaction I was quite upset and expressed my concerns through every avenue I could think of. He knows the value of a customer and I know he is doing what he can to establish an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and most important: honest. Another great customer service experience at Midway Chevrolet! Was taking my newly leased vehicle in for its first oil change and tire rotation, only to learn it was going to be a 3-4 hour wait due to the volume of cars in for service. I was going to bring it in the following morning instead when I was more prepared for the delay; however, John Glenn, Service and Sales Manager, really stepped up! Upon learning of the delay and my choice to just bring the car in the following morning, he immediately offered to provide me a loaner car of similar model so that I wouldn't be inconvenienced. He was friendly, fast and efficient. In no time, I had a loaner car in same color and similar model at no charge. Midway really does take care of its customers. STAT AWAY ( RAY AND ORLANDO HORRIBLE PEOPLE)We applied for financing online and automatically we had the finance team reach out to us and told us to come in .We drove in over 45 min and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Ray who continue to tell us that he was honest man and that he was straightforward he's a family man blah blah blah blah he introduced us to another sales person by the name of Orlando fast forward we found the vehicle that we wanted and wanted to put money down on it and Orlando push to tell us that you cannot put money down the car will be here Monday we will have it inspected do not worry the car is yours .fast forward to Monday we never got a call from Orlando we ended up calling Orlando and he said oh yeah the car finally came in snd it will be done after 2 pm I told him I would be there at to finish the paperwork .. at exactly 1:30 PM we received a call from a different sales rep to inform us that our vehicle that we were waiting on was just sold by Orlando. After I finally reached Orlando he continue to lie to me and tell me that he did not sell a car another sales rep did so I reached out to Ray and Ray was not nowhere in the office and he was going in to resolve the issue and yet it was never resolved the car was sold by Orlando and Ray . but they just continue to drag it out I wasted seven hours from 2 PM to 9 PM on the phone back-and-forth to see if they had another car . Bottom line is they ruined my surprise for my 16-year-old's birthday vehicle that I wanted because they were so dishonest and I guess Orlando really needed the sale that very moment and lie to me horrible service stay away from these people I for sure have already contacted Chevrolet to let them know the type of people that's representing them. read more

They charged me $140 and they didn't even run my vehicle on the diagnostic code reader to find out what was wrong with it. Took it to a local mechanic he ran the test for FREE and he was able to tell us exactly what was wrong with it and could repair it for less than half of the estimate they gave me! These guys are truly evil. Do not take your vehicle here. As I left the guy goes "Maybe call the dealership you bought it from and check if you have an extended warranty on it." They seemed to be having fun while doing their job and got me in and out in two hours...including the purchase of my new truck. Zach was great. Knew the truck well. Was pretty laid back. Not pushy at all. I'm probably the best customer ever though as I knew exactly what I wanted and they had it. :) They didn't have to sell me on anything. So, do your research. Go in knowing what you want to pay (overall and per month) and they will respect that. The only reason they don't get five stars is yeah, it's a pretty old and worn out place. If they would just put some new paint on the walls and spruce things up a bit, it would be five star worthy. Also, for the people who say these guys are super pushy and what not, understand that these guys/gals are only talking to you because you came to them. They are providing you a service. Also (most, not all) these sales folks probably just earn commission. They need to feed their families just like you. Poor service. I scheduled to have my truck serviced using their online scheduling tool. When I arrived and spoke with my service advisor Hugh at my appointment time, he informed me it would take at least 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. When I told him I had an appointment so that I wouldn't have to wait that long, he told me the appointment is only set up to speak to him, not for the work. I got in my truck and found someone with good customer service. I have never been treated like this at any other dealership. The most TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! My vehicle was towed in because all I needed was a KEY FOB and it spent almost ONE MONTH in the shop! FOR A KEY FOB Our Service advisor B and she was HORRIFIC! Absolutely no communication, would never answer calls, never return calls and would never text back! Like your company supplies you with a phone for clients and you don't even use it!? This whole experience was so pathetic! Stay far away and definitely do not have "B" as your service advisor. I even filed a complaint with the Service Manager Dragon and that voicemail literally was just deleted and ignored because I never heard anything back! Finally after showing up unexpectedly we waited a WHOLE HOUR for B to "show up" so we can get my car back that simply needed a KEY FOB! I couldn't even IMAGINE for a second how horrifically terrible the service would be if there was something majorly wrong with my Volt. Never in my life would I use services from this dump of a place again! Extremely Poor Communication, Poor Service and and Poor Service Advisors! I have not a single decent thing to say about this place. Don't believe me, try to call them the phone will ring for 5 minutes straight then pick up and hang up. I bought my (2012) certified used car from their new car department. The man I dealt with was nice. The environment was nice. However, their tactics and the quality of work on my " certified " vehicle was poor. Hence my 2-star rating. The car was listed at 19,039. I wanted to pay cash out the door. They avoided this at all costs. Trying to explain how much better it was to finance. So they told me it would be $21,256 out the door with cash. I basically said "F off " long story short walked out the door with car for $18.5k. And they still wanted me to finance -__- Now the quality. It's a nice car, just poorly serviced by them For a certified vehicle it had. -original battery that was faulty - cheap autozone oil filter - incorrect oil weight ( had oil analysis done) - air filter that was literally all black with crap - wiper blades dry rotted - previous owner pet hair under seats - cigarette residue on the inside windows For close to $20k I expect my damn car to be serviced to factory specifications. read more

Stay away!! I brought in my 2013 Tahoe about 10 months ago for an oil change at 22000 miles on it. I had an appointment and it took them 2-1/2 hours to take it back. I saw them taking vehicles that came in after mine. 3 hours into my oil change they tell me I need a front end alignment. I finally get my car back after almost 4 hours!! Then my service manager Jeff Bodenschatz tells me that my next service I MUST change ALL my fluids because they are contaminated! How do they get contaminated if they haven't been opened!! Of course it's only $1,000!!! Jeff kept on trying small talk but I just wanted out of there!! I honestly did the survey and the next thing I know my service manager Jeff is personally calling me and was mad about my response to the survey!! He was trying to intimidate me and I didn't care. That was when I decided never again!! I just returned from my next service (30,000 mike) at Lamb Chevrolet. I told them what happened and they stated that if I was doing a lot of towing and hard driving they may recommend the tranny and rear ended service. The checked all the fluids and said everything looked fine and they saw no signs of contamination. The whole oil change and fluid check, tire rotation and car wash was at right about an hour. It is obvious to me that Midway is very high pressure sales and service and will gouge you every chance they get!! Lastly, if you have problems with any dealer, make sure you fill out or answer the surveys that follow. These come from the automaker and the results can really mess with the dealer if they get enough bad reviews!!! read more

I have been having issues with my car, after being told by 6 other technicians from other shops around town that they "can't access the battery" (located in the trunk). I brought it here to Midway. It was a Saturday and got here before they opened hoping to save some time but that seemed to be everyone's thought process. I was a little discouraged when I saw the number of cars in front of me. I can't believe how FAST they got things done, and they didn't have any trouble accessing the bBrad was very friendly and they really seem to have an efficient process for getting vehicles serviced timely.
