SCAMMERS - SCAMMERS - SCAMMERS STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LYING SCAMMING DEALERSHIP Update 1/6/2026 The battery they claimed they "replaced" was never replaced. They lied on the service report and CARFAX. The battery was dead and no longer jumpable, reading 8.4 only days after being "replaced." This is still within my warranty period, yet they are refusing to service the car unless I remove this review and sign a contract stating I won't post about my experience online -- which is illegal. I hired an independent mechanic who confirmed the battery is a junkyard battery. The service date was scratched out, a new date cauterized in, and then painted over to hide it. It was also the incorrect CCA for my vehicle. I own a Toyota, yet the battery clearly states it is only for Ford vehicles. Management has been dodging my calls for three days. They were blowing up my phone to get me to remove this review, but now that my car isn't working, they are ghosting me. I am reporting this dealership to the BBB, FTC, DMV, Attorney General, etc. STAY FAR AWAY -- they demand 5-star reviews before you leave the dealership. The business license they have posted is expired (photo attached). I am extremely disappointed with my experience and strongly warn others to stay away. I purchased a 2024 Toyota Corolla on December 27. Within hours, I discovered serious issues: the gas cap wouldn't open, the key fob didn't work, the windows wouldn't roll down, the mirrors wouldn't move, and the car eventually wouldn't start. I had to jump it three times. Firestone found a 4" screw in one tire and extremely bald tires that looked close to tearing (photos coming). I sent the inspection report to the dealership and explained everything verbally. The dealership took the car for service but refused to provide a loaner, forcing me to Uber home with my 2-year-old in winter weather ($50). I was told the car would be ready the next business day, but no one answered the phones and voicemail was not set up. I Ubered back that evening ($75 due to traffic) because I needed my car for work and was told it would be ready. Ten minutes before arrival -- at closing time -- they called to say it still wasn't ready and told me to "ask my Uber to turn around." Only after I arrived angry did they offer a loaner. The next day, before the car was even returned, I was pressured to call the financing bank and falsely state that I had the car and that it was "working great." I said I was not comfortable lying. Later, when picking up the car, they again demanded the call before releasing it. After my portion, Dan told me I could not take my own car home until my husband completed his portion -- despite the car already being purchased. This escalated into a heated confrontation with Dan outside in a 12° snowy storm. I was wearing only a dress, expecting to grab my keys and leave. I explained I had a toddler waiting at home to be put to bed. I was repeatedly threatened with "undoing the sale," even though $5,000 had already been taken from my account. When I asked for proof of repairs, I was told service had gone home and none of the three employees arguing with me could explain what was fixed. A manager eventually allowed me to take the car home and promised the service report the next morning. On the drive home, I noticed a tire PSI of 47. Firestone confirmed the tire with the screw and tear had not been repaired at all. I am now being forced to return for the fourth time for issues that never should have existed on a vehicle sold as ready to drive. This dealership sold me an unsafe vehicle, failed to properly service it, pressured me to lie to a bank, falsified records, and treated me with complete disrespect. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Stay far away.

Think twice before doing any service with this dealership. I was told by their service department 3 times that thier labor rate is $189 an hour and after the job was completed and I got my invoice I was charged $222.55 an hour. Their excuse was that the labor rate is determined by AI and was is what Chrysler has them do. I don't believe . I have lost my trust in Midway Dodge and will never use them for service or will I purchase a car there. I tried reaching out to them on Facebook only to be ignored. I called to speak to the owner and was sent to a mailbox that was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I have used them in the past for repairs and had no issues but this time I was overcharged $189 and they will not do anything to correct it. So for less than $200 you have lost a customer and I will spread the word. I also noticed that you have a F rating with the BBB because you have not responded to 16 complaints against your dealership. Not to mention I had to go back the next day because I found a bolt that your $222.55 an hour mechanic didn't even hand tighten and they didn't even clean up the oil around the area that was worked on. I gave you two stars instead of one because your staff is very friendly and they are able to smile at you while they stick the knife in your back as you walk away.

Horrible service! I wish I would have read the reviews before walking in there and wasting my time. Jonathan was extremely rude. The way he spoke to me was unprofessional, he didn't let me speak and when I tried to say something he would interrupt me. He didn't listen to a thing I had to say. He seemed bothered that I had lowered my down payment range, he left to check and see if I could get approved, not a minute later does he come back to say I wasn't approved. When asked if I would be receiving calls from midway dodge he laughed and said "you won't be getting any calls from me." I couldn't have been more disappointed in the service I received. I don't recommend anyone to do business with him or this place. Save your time and money on a business who treats you fairly. read more

I was car hunting a few months ago and I came across this dealership (MIDWAY DODGE) who had what I was looking for so I called to set up an appoint to go in. So,,,, when I got there I was told that the car I was looking for was Sold the day before( which might I say is the oldest trick in the book). They lie to you to get you there then they try to sell you some shit you don't even want. Well to there surprise I wasn't their average female customers I walked my ass right out when I found out they raised the prices of their pretty on the outside shitty underneath the hood ass cars. Like so many other reviewers here - they told me a specific Lincoln Navigator advertised on cars.com was still available. I even specifically asked "is the car still in the lot?" "Yes", was the reply. When I got there, the vehicle actually had been sold a few days ago. The salesman (who was actually very nice), said they post the sales on a board, and it takes a few days for the front office to get the updates. What a ridiculous way to run a business! Too bad I didn't read these reviews before wasting half of my day. read more

This place sucks! They wasted my time! I called twice and spoke to two different people about a truck listed for sale and made an appointment to view it. I drove an hour and 30 min to get there, and then they tell me the truck was sold THREE days ago! They then tried to sell me a different truck for $10,000 more than the one i came to see! Bait and switch! Avoid them at all costs! These people fit the perfect description of used car salesmen! read more

I took my 2002 Dodge Caravan in because I had recently had my Transmission rebuilt and it was still not shifting gears and the speedometer was not working correctly. I decided to take it to Midway Dodge since they have experience with these types of vehicles. They wanted to charged me $654 to tear down the transmission because they said it was an internal problem. I said no but they still charged me $115. I took it to another mechanic and they told me that the oxygen wires were crossed and that was the problem they only charged me $45. I called Midway Dodge asking for my money back and they refused too but they give me a horrible diagnostic.If i would have said yes to tear down the transmission they would have charged me a lot of money and it wasn't even the problem. Do not bring your vehicle here they will tell you its a bigger problem then it really is and charge you much more! read more

The worst customer service ever I bought a 2012 dodge ram 1500 black. Hemi the paint is faded and not complete in some areas of the truck I took it in to the body shop and asked them to take a look at it they told me that it would have to be re painted and that corp would have to ok it it took five months for an answer they sed no then they told me they would upgrade my sound system and it is now feb 20 2013 and still no answers I've left a number of messages and emails to which I still have no answer from them and as I am on hold with corp I am writing this when I should be enjoying my truck and not pissed off at dodge read more

Do NOT go there! I was sold a used car from there and it had FRAME DAMAGE! It was not made known to me. The car was having serious problems about 2 months later and I had it looked at by Carmax. They told me about the frame damage and that the car was in 2 previous accidents. I didn't know about the accidents either It is ILLEGAL to for dealerships to sell cars with FRAME DAMAGE. The car was only 2 years old and I had to have it voluntarily repoed and it ruined my credit. They have an F with the Better Business Bureau for a reason. read more

My experience here was very smooth. I actuall found them online here midwaydodge.com and thought I would try to find a car there since I live nearby. The customer service was very professional ( and patient) and I actually drove away with my car that day. Even though there are negative reviews I would still suggest at least giving them a chance.I give them 4.5 out of 5 stars. read more

From the beginning that we were here to the end it was terrible. We went in looked at the cars saw a 2009 Audi A4 and immediately loved the car. After a long battle with them they approved us (me & my husband) and we got the car for a fair price. Edin Najarro "sales manager" closed the deal. During the process he was extremely rude and by rude i mean i understand that it was closing hours and that your shift was over but he just kept rushing us into signing all the paperwork. He kept saying "are u going to get the car or not". Not only is Edin unprofessional but he is also a liar he told us we qualified for a insurance for our brand new car and that it would cover everything under the hood. A little later on that we expirienced problems with the cooling pump and called the insurance company so they could cover it but at the end they just said to fix it and we would have our money reimbursed. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Today we went to Midway Dodge and Rosendo Serrano the finance manager explained to us the reason why the cooling pump wasn't covered was because the only thing covered by the insurance was the ENGINE and not the parts that go with it under the hood. Are you kidding me? Edin Najarro should have explained that to us from the beginning. WE WOULDN'T HAVE GOT THAT INSURANCE. Now we lost a big chunk of our money for nothing. Thanks to an unprofessional sales manager or so they call him. I say next time please be honest with your customers because our money is valuable. Never going there again. read more

I Contacted Midway Dodge via internet and set up a test drive for an Expedition 2003 with 17,000 miles and a price of 8759. I was contacted quickly by someone from Midway Dodge and they told me the car is there and will be ready for me to test drive at 6pm. When I got to the dealership the sales person said they had sold the car 2 days prior but that he would double check. He never came back instead another sales perosn came in and told me that there was two porblems. The first problem was that the real miles on the truck was 117,000 and the second problem was that they did not have the truck because it was sold a while back (not specific about when). I told him that was not possible as I was assured the truck would be ready for me to test drive at 6pm I had called 4 hours prior. He said sorry nothing he could do. I told him that was ok but there was another expedition that caught my eye on the website and asked him to show me that one. He said that one was no longer available either. I asked him how that could be and the salesperson told me the website is not runed by the Midway Dodge dealership and it is also only updated once every two months. Then he told me that he would help me find something else. The sales person asked me "How would you like to get a brand new Dodge Durango". I asked him to stop and that I was leaving because this is a classic bait and switch tactic. I was embaressed by the people in this dealership and I was also made to waste my time. I took my one year old and my four year old and told them we where going to get a new car, they where very exited and so was my 6 month pregnant wife and when we got to the dealership they just dismissed us and tried selling me a brand new car. I think with the economy the way it is they should try to realy please their customeers not trick them into buying. read more

Just like several other reviews, they claimed a car I was interested was there. I spoke on the phone with someone from sales 2 times to verify car was there. I even told the lady I had a newborn baby and it was difficult for me to leave home with her and to PLEASE call me if she found this vehicle was not there because I was leaving and would be there in about an hour. So I drove 45 min and took a newborn out in 10 degrees to get there and find no parking in their lot. I walked a block carrying the baby and was pissed to begin with, but then got inside and was told the vehicle I inquired about was not even there. UNREAL! I was so pissed off. This place is so unprofessional I will tell everyone to never buy from them. Too bad for them too, because I was ready to buy that day and ended up purchasing a car for 15k more than I had intended from Toyota. Just takes a good, decent salesman and a good product....none of which this Dodge has. read more

I would have to say STAY AWAY FROM THIS STEALERSHIP!!! Both the sales staff and the service departments are horrible. I would not trust taking my vehicle here for service, they are incompetent and have no knowledge in what they think they do. The "techs" do a half asses job at the most. And the sales staff seems too care more about selling you something than actually providing facts about what they are trying to sell you. Carlos C. Sales Rep, saw me pull in with a brand new vehicle I had purchased somewhere else (was going to the part dept.) and right off the bat tried his best at trying to sell me a VS 2000 complete vehicle protection package for my new vehicle. First off trying to sell something from a tri-fold pamphlet with nothing in black and white to state what you are selling and what it covers is in my eyes a SCAM. And then when he saw I was asking too many questions, the "Ok well if you want the package please let me know". An informed and questioning customer will always win. I would stay away at all cost from this dealership. For years they have been non-serving the community, well that is why the community shops else where. read more

Bought a vehicle from Midwat Dodge last year. WORST mistake of my life. I found out today from a reputable dealership, UNLIKE Midway Dodge, that the vehicle I purchased had been involved in 2 accidents and had reported frame damage which was not disclosed at time of purchase. The actual report stated "A wholesale Auto Auction has reported that the vehicle has frame damage, which can weaken the structure of the vehicle." I contacted a sales manager at Midway Dodge and he pretty much said that it was my problem and that they don't have to disclose anything. If your in the market for a piece of shit which puts your life in danger and a dealership that doesn't understand the concept behind customer service or honesty, then buy a car from Midwat Dodge. PLEASE learn from my mistake and if you are even thinking about purchasing a vehicle from Midway Dodge RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! From the owner to the managers and down to the sales department, THEY ARE ALL THE SCUM OF THE EARTH who take advantage of hard working good people. read more

Went here yesterday after getting a call back saying I was financed. Something told me not to bother but I did. As I was walking back to their lot my husband and I entered it on the back end. We wanted to look through the cars since the day before when we first visited they behaved they they could not understand my desire for a chrysler 300. A lot of the cars had trash (crushed cookie type stuff, mcdonalds bags) in them as if the sales people rode around in them. We went in and they tried to get me into a more expensive dodge. I had told them the day before what I wanted when they tried to get me into a sebring. After flatly refusing (salesman had the nerve to ask me to pay $300 a month after I told them I didn't want to go over $225) they "tried to get me into the chrysler but they wanted me to put more down and pay more a month, we left. Seriously the one chrysler looked like it had been in an accident and repaired. I can't think of any reason for the front bumper edges to protrude slightly. Plus the seat was ripped and there was a big crack on the back bumper. They actually had this vehicle posted as 10K at the lot(posted online for$4995, sales person went up to $6995 the first day). I kelly blue booked this vehicle and assuming excellent condition and under 100k miles it is worth 11K. Please don't waste your time. Most likely you will be disappointed. I filed a bbb complaint and will try to keep this updated. read more

on february 20th 20 they stated i was approved charged my credit card $2500 they stated i needed a tracker to be installed in the car. they stood with car overnight two days later nobody knows nothing about the car or payment done . spoke to 3 diff managers for them at the end tell me i was not approved . talked to the director of operations and said with a sarcastic voice to pick up my refund. i have been stressing for over 2 days with this situation and no phone calls being returned. you do not sit and tell a costumer they approved charge a credit card and send the client home thinking they have a car to pick up next day,,, i highly recommend for nobody to purchase a car here. they are incompetent and rude . now am sitting here with 2500 short o my pockets and worse of all no car!!!! i have contacted a lawyer to sue them and also spoke to univision chanel news to make this viral and have no one go threw the bad experience i went threw. went in to purchase a vehicle read more

Buying a car is a daunting task, and it can be very stressful. Having a staff that's on your side and people willing to allow you breathing room in your decision makes all the difference in the world. All in all, this is what Midway Dodge provides. Their website is very convenient and easy to navigate, and there is an online chat option to speak with someone before you make the trip to the dealership. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and no question is silly. They're very understanding about common concerns in regards to a new or even seasoned vehicle customer. This does not change when you arrive in person. Their incentives are also very good. The website updates with current deals, and the expiration date is available as well so you know when to get in to take advantage. For example, until 07/08/2013 there is 0% APR for 60 Months or $3,000 cash back on a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T. Not a bad deal at all. They are also very flexible with credit approval, working to help individuals who may have not been able to get financing elsewhere to do so and get their purchase on the road. Their service department is also very fast and thorough. Their prices are reasonable, and the technicians are very easy to work with. Many customers say that this is the only service department they will allow to work on their vehicle. The professionalism they exhibit is great, and the honesty they provide to the less-knowledgeable (such as myself) is very much appreciated and difficult to come by. Trade in value is very open as well. If you have a vehicle that you don't believe could bring in much value in most places, presenting it to Midway Dodge may be a good idea. In some cases, it can even be used as a down payment despite the age or mileage. They're very dedicated to helping you finance and find a way to afford your new vehicle. This is all that you can ask for out of a dealership! Overall, the professionalism is top notch, the customer service is above and beyond, and their prices and financing options (even trade in value!) are all very generous and understanding. They treat you like an individual and realize that shopping for such a high price item can be very intimidating. I have been to many places to purchase cars and have seen the same problems and gimmicks when you show up to buy them. The car they advertised was no longer there and they just sold the last one but they have another car with more additions to it available. When I came to Midway Dodge, there was a friendly environment and people were there to help. I understand the car business has to make money too in order to stay open. Although I wasn't able to find the car I came in for they had a similar model in which they were able to give almost a similar price on where it had more additions as well. I was pleased with the dealings I had because it was very stern and to the point and I didn't have to play any games or mess around. We got straight to the point and knew there would have to be a little give and take from both sides. Initially, I wasn't pleased with the color choice of the car, but they were able to look around and find a car with the color selection they have. I know have heard complaints about this location and the lack of knowing the inventory. The thing is you never know what sales agent is selling a car to a customer at one time so the car might have just been sold. Also, I believe under the new management they have made significant changes in order for the customer to have a better experience while car buying, or selling. read more

i was driving on pulaski rd in chicago rush hour traffic, my car started to overheating. thankfully i was right in front of the dodge dealer so pulled my car on the lot. the service man, Bart, told me that my car was going to need some major engine work to keep it from continuing to overheat. the cost of the fixing it would be even more money than i paid for the car!!! he suggested i talk the guys up in the sales floor and introduced me to Mario. Mario said he would take care of me if i seen a car in his lot that i liked. after looking at a few cars i found a dodge charger that had my name all over it! the only problem i found was that my credits arent to good since i got divorced and i cant really pay alot of a payment. Mario had his salesman Stevie B took me on the test drive. they keep telling me, "dont worry, we gonna get u approved". sure enough, with just the title to my neon, that was broken down.. Mario and STevie B got me that charger for a payment lower than one weeks paycheck, my first payment isnt for over one month away, and they even knew a people in the insurance company to get me covered right away even though my driver record was bad to. i never been happier. i love my new car and these guys was great! thank you midway mario and stevie b!! read more

Vansch and Steve were both great salesmen. A little aggressive for my introverted personality, but very kind, patient and understanding. They handle a hard sell very well. They were helpful and though probably frustrated with some of my pushback at times, including me walking out to my car, Steve followed me out and just engaged in small talk. He definitely knows the game well. Vansch, was very patient, soft spoken but not in a bad way. He knew how to meet you where you are at. He was understanding and easygoing. All in all, I was a little uncomfortable, but I am happy with the end result even if it is not what I was expecting to get when coming in today. Coffee was just terrible, and they seriously need new computers. I would definitely recommend coming here and asking for Steve or Vansch. Okay- I have an 'odd' story about these guys. Picture it- 8:30pm, Rollin' in off 82 headed straight into Chi Town, BOOM deer in the road and I'm SCREWED! Not only did midway dodge answer my call on the first ring, they also found me a cheaper alternative than having the police tow my little ranger away and hopping on a bus=o( The service dept- the sales team, everyone worked together to help me out and I couldn't possibly say thank you enough! THAT NIGHT I signed papers to a 2005 Dodge Pickup with a Hemi and I don't know why the hell it took me so long to switch from Ford to Dodge but I sure as hell did! And never being TO Chicago, only passing through- I was very surprised to find not only a dealershipship willing to help, but a crew so helpful and attentive. I had heard that they had a lot of problems, but i am close so i thought i would give it a try because they had the car that i was in love with. So after striking up a conversation with the salesmen, with no presure he shot me a number that seemed very good. He told that if i really wanted the car he could probably do even better on the price. I had shopped the car months ago, but the number i got at Midway was great. It seems as though everuone their is new. I have lived in the area for years shopped Middway before but the people there were a pain. my friend Ivan bought a car here and told me to check it out. I read some reviews here that wasn't so good. I was a bit skeptigal. but I trust my friend so I tried these guys. I called the sales guy carlos but he was busy so they transfer me to stevee b. he told me they had a big sale goin on and to hurry up to come in. so I went there and asked for stevee b and he introduce me to carlos who did my application and showed me a couple trucks. I had forgot my wallet in home and had to come back the next day with my driver license and paystubs but when I got back Saturday morning Money Carlos and stevee b held the deal from the night before and got me a 2013 Mazda CX9.. for lower than what they first told me!! I was very cautious about buying a car and did not want a new or newer used car. I had a nightmare happen a few years ago with a buy here pay here place, but I came to Midway Dodge anyway. I read some of their older reviews and was unsure of what to expect. Anyway, I came in with a chip on my shoulder but Stevan Bernard was easy to deal with. He broke it down for me and I drove away with a 2011 Nissan Versa with low mileage for the same monthly payment that I bought that lemon at a few years ago. He made the whole process very smooth and I did not feel forced to buy anything. Everyone is nice, Stevan is straight forward and Randy Cohen is really trying to clean up their image.
