They have multiple people in charge. The workers are pocketing the cash no receipt and owner apparently not aware of his employees scamming customers.... Proceed to call me a broke ass and take pictures of my car. The shop is a mess. They are lacking professionalism. Stay away people.They did the work for $80 to change both parts I brought in my own parts . Unfortunately one went bad and now they don't want to honor the same price......... Make sure to get receipts. The work literally took 40 minutes they have cameras I saw them do the work. Owner needs to take classes on how to treat customers . I have a good old American Ford Escape that turned 10 this year. I bought when it was relatively new - about 6 years ago (ignoring all the Ford jokes, like "Found On Road Dead, etc), and have struggled with it ever since. They explain everything in detail, they tell you the truth about exactly what's wrong with the car, how much it's going to cost and how long it's going to take to fix it. They tell you everything that needs fixing on your car but they don't try to hard sell you on fixing everything at once. They tell you the things that are critical to fix now and what you can wait on and for how long. Their prices are fair and they are honest and don't take advantage of people. Plus, these guys really know what they are doing. I seen a Groupon deal for a A/C recharge for only $39 from Midwest Car Care. I figured what the hell, I can either go to Autozone and buy a bottle for ~$20 something bucks or have a actual mechanic do it for slightly bit more. They gladly took the Groupon voucher and I only had to wait for about 25 minutes. The workers are very friendly and nice. My husband's coworker recommended Midwest Car Care. I went in for what i thought was a stolen catalytic converter on my Volvo because it was making a loud noise. Emad propped it up told me I still have my catalytic converter - the problem was my muffler. Emad even let me price compare online volvo parts with what the volvo dealer was charging. I'm going with Emad's volvo dealer parts. I am so glad i found a place that knows so much about volvos too. I asked if I should get a cat clap on my car just in case because so many people around chicago are getting theirs stolen and he told me it would take hours for someone to get to mine bc of where they put them in the volvo - they can't get to them. Again, he is so awesome. I was there around lunchtime and a happy customer surprised them with a thank you lou malnatis pizza. They even offered me some! What a great crew. I cannot say enough good things about the owner Emad Daveed, the owner, and his team. I was referred to them by a friend and stopped about 9AM without an appointment as I was noticing an oil leak and just wanted to be sure all was okay with my 2001 Honda. He had me leave the car so he could check it out knowing I needed to pick kids by 5PM. Within an hour he called to tell me what he had found and his recommendations. He asked my permission to do the work and gave me an estimate. The leak had been present for awhile and the engine was so covered in oil he needed to wash the engine to determine where the leak(s) were. He further discovered that my front brakes were bad and there was cracked roter and a damaged strut on the front left. They got to work and called a bit later and had found 2 minor oil leaks and repaired them. He also, rather than replace all the struts, machined the damaged one! By 2PM he had me back on the road. He asked me to drive the car for a couple of days and then bring it back in for them to take a look to be sure there were no other oil leaks. This team was honest, straight forward, polite and knowledgable. There are not many good mechanics left out there who aren't schooled to up sell you. Use this team! They are good. read more
