Damage was severe enough that the car had to be towed. Fortunately, no one was injured. Fast forward roughly four weeks and I reclaimed my car today. It was exactly what I expected: impeccably repaired with a paint job--thanks to master painter and WBS owner Danny Avalos, Jr.--that matched the original finish perfectly. While four weeks seemed overly long, my insurance company's adjustor and appraiser were responsible for most of the delay. Throughout the process, shop manager Eric Villa keep me apprised. The service at Berman's Infiniti was $2,499 plus tax. Avondale did everything and more for $1,260. HALF! It included replacing every fluid - oil, brake, trans, differential, coolant - plus all filters, tire rotation, throttle cleaning, and more. I had the car in at 8:30 and it was done by 4:00. I've waited at Berman's 3 hours just to get an old change and tires rotated. Not only that, but the guys there were great to deal with, especially Nabor. I'm moving out of state soon, but if I wasn't this would be the only place I would take my car. I cannot recommend Avondale Auto Repair highly enough. Make it 6 stars.

I initially assumed it was nothing serious, but by the following evening, one tire was completely flat. To be clear, I understand there's no way to know for sure whether the tire was damaged while the car was at the shop or while I was driving it home or the following day. I genuinely acknowledge that uncertainty. That said, the timing concerned me. I took the car to Just Tires, where I had purchased all four of the tires in 2022. I was told that the flat tire could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. Replacing two tires, which is fairly typical (depending on tread wear and matching) was recommended. The total cost, including tax and installation, was about $575. I discussed the situation with Ken Papas at Ashland Tire, and I appreciate the way he handled it. He didn't dismiss my concern, but he also fairly pointed out that neither of us could pinpoint when the damage occurred. He offered $150 toward the replacement cost, which I accepted. I think that was a reasonable, good-faith gesture, even though covering the cost of one tire would have felt more satisfying. I'm leaving a positive review because the exhaust issue has been resolved (so I assume the original repair was done correctly) and because Ken handled an uncertain situation professionally. I'd consider using Ashland Tire & Auto again.

Many other folks had the same idea, so I knew this place was reputable (in addition to all its great online reviews) They gave me a call by 10:30am letting me know they could fix the whirring with a new belt. Also identified my brakes were at their end of life and offered to replace. Their quote for 4 new brake pads was extremely reasonable. By 1:45 my car was done being serviced and I went back to pick it up. Easy check out. No line. Very nice staff. A complete success. Definitely will use Ashland tire and auto for all future car needs and will recommend to all my friends

After the first week with no updates, I finally reached the shop manager and the response I got was to "be patient". This was the state of my car when I picked it up, which was not the state I dropped it off in. Although my car was over 10 years old it was in nearly perfect condition when I dropped it off. The car was hit while parked on the street outside the shop. When I saw the damage I went back into the shop and they sent me to their body shop to have it buffed out. Much of the damage came out but not all of it. Nothing was offered to rectify the damage done to the interior of the car. I sent emails to the shop with the pictures below, but got no response.

I had the most incredible experience with Rockwell Auto! I was hearing a grinding sound come from my brakes, so I called on a Tuesday to make an appointment. They were ready for me Thursday morning at 8:30. By 11am, I had received two links- one with detailed photos and explanations from a full inspection of my car, and another link with a quote that explained the work my car DEFINITELY needed and some work it could benefit from, with the price breakdown. Nate then called me and explained everything verbally. I shared what I wanted to have done, signed the form on my phone, and picked up my car Friday afternoon. It is back to great condition! They are very honest about what you really need, what you could do without to save some money, and concerned for the wellbeing of the car. Nate at Rockwell we're very responsive to my initial request and I knew right away that I would be in good hands with him and his partner when leaving my car with them. I had to change my brakes and initially had my dad handle this for me, unfortunately, my dad wasn't knowledgeable on handling the brakes for new cars and my brakes were locking up. I used Yelp to find a mechanic near me and Nate reached out right away via text after I described my situation and had diagnosed the issue from my description and offered to make the adjustments free of charge if he was correct. It turns out that the problem was more than he'd predicted, but he was able to offer a fair price to correct the matter and walked me along the entire way through the process. He was straight forward, kind, and fair, and I would 100% recommend taking your car to Rockwell for any of your car needs. read more

This is the 1st time I have needed a repair on our 2010 Volvo XC70 that we purchased in March. Nate was so easy to talk with when I called, knowledgeable, and confidence-inspiring. I knew right away I had found a great mechanic; someone I could trust to fix my car and not take advantage of me when I brought it in. Meeting and talking with him in person just solidified my initial feelings. The problem that needed fixing was fairly small; my car ran fine before he worked on it, and it ran great after he finished! Although the shop was small, the setup was great, and he had the latest equipment to work on my car. A very pleasant young lady was at the service window and took down my concerns and contact information along with the keys. I told her I need the car back by Friday. COMMUNICATION FROM SHOP On Thursday morning I got a call and we discussed how I wanted the problem with my lack of air conditioning remedied, i.e., replace all leaking components or just get it working and add freon as needed in the future. I took the least costly. On Thursday afternoon I got a call that the car was ready and work was completed. DELIVERY OF CAR On Friday morning I arrived and paid for the work which was very reasonable and again got good service from the young lady at the service window. PRIOR BAD REVIEWS Before coming in for service I read the yelp reviews where the majority of customers were very pleased. I then saw a review from a former employee who wanted her W-2s. That is not a yelp issue. Another was from someone who did not want to have work done for the quoted price and had it done much cheaper on the air conditioner. As in my case I was given a quote to get it running and to replace all leaking components. For the price the yelper paid all that was done by the other shop was what I had done here for less money.
