My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

Then, three years ago, this other company told us that "everything" (fan motor, contactor, capacitor) was wrong with the unit and we should immediately buy a new unit. They also told us there was a leak and it's just too hard to find R22 refrigerant. Again, my son said that it was cooling just fine and called out the service tech on his lie about the availability of R22 refrigerant. We couldn't be happier with Comfort First. On two occasions, they literally went above and beyond our expectations...(two very long stories) they really do care about their customers.
