I saw signs for 26 exams rooms so they must get very busy. I was seen within 5 minutes and on my way within 20 minutes of their opening. Certainly no complaints about that. The building itself is relatively new and everything is very clean and bright. Every employee that I had any interaction with was very polite, kind and professional.

I value the apology and assistance they provided to enhance our experience. I am very disappointed with Darien Immediate Care. I took my son there due to a shoulder injury and he was taken in for an X-Ray. PA Erin Berman read his x-ray and misdiagnosed him having a broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder and informed us to go to the ER ASAP. When the ER doctor read these same x-rays, I was informed that only my son's collarbone was broken, but his shoulder was not dislocated. However, the ER doctor nevertheless was required to take additional x-rays at this point to confirm the diagnosis that the shoulder was not, in fact, dislocated. Therefore, my son did not need to be rushed to the ER and could've received urgent care for his collarbone with a follow up with an orthopedic doctor. As a result, in addition to what this facility billed us, we incurred additional fees and costs for the ER visit and additional x-rays, and spent additional time agonizing over the injury. Therefore, I requested to speak with the office manager regarding my billing, who promised to call me but never did. When I spoke to the billing department, they refused to transfer me to the office manager or share contact information and refused to adjust my bill in any way. While I have no issue paying for medical services, I do have an issue incurring unnecessary additional fees and costs due to the misdiagnosis. If my son was diagnosed properly in this facility, we wouldn't have had to go the ER and he would walked away with a sling, which is the recommended treatment for a broken collarbone. This is also my second negative experience with this facility. During a prior visit, we saw PA Anum Haq who diagnosed my son with an ear infection; however, PA Anum Haq then failed to timely send the required prescription to the pharmacy, which delayed my son's healing and caused him more pain. I will never go to this facility again, and will share my experience where possible so that other families do not have to incur unnecessary additional expenses when money is already tightly budgeted for most.

Having been here before, she knew my medical history and prescribed inhalers for me and ordered a nebulizer treatment. I left feeling much relieved that I had been examined and had a plan to help. Melissa, the medical assistant, was thorough with her vital checks and made sure I had my printed out summary of care when I left. Great place to go when not feeling well. I was sent here from the Aurora location, which needs to train the staff here, at this location…read more*eye roll* I came in for an ultrasound, and the tech was VERY unpleasant! My visit was today 7-19-24 at 605pm. If I hadn't had to go to the emergency room, the review would've been written right in their parking lot. I walked in at 555pm. My appt per the Aurora location was for 6 pm. There were 2 people at the front, neither assisted or spoke until I stepped around a couple who had already been seen and were receiving aftercare instructions. I gave them my name and advised that I was sent over from Aurora they said my appt was for 630, ummm no, it was for 6. They said I had to wait. 605 comes, and this lady calls my name with an attitude and takes me back. So why were you sent here for an ultrasound, she asks? Because I'm in pain and need further testing.. I explained the tests that were completed, and she states no, that's not why she said you needed an ultrasound *BLANKSTARE* So if you know why I need 1 WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME??? DO THE ******* ultrasound and stop wasting my time! She continued to ask things that should've been charted. I'm so irritated she asks me is everything ok? I'm not trying to upset you. I'd like to make this right in a snide way. She completes the 2 ultrasounds. No info on follow up care just call Aurora for info. I called Aurora and they're in shock that they didn't provide the qr code to look up my results or provide the aftercare instructions. I ended up in the ER a few hours later. Thankfully, Aurora followed up so that I could be treated properly. The tech Cynthia Avila was rude, abrasive, and condescending, to say the very least! I wouldn't recommend this location.
